this drama was solely being carried by Lee Yoo Ri and it had nothing else. I hoped for a makjang like secret or mask, but beside the initial melo it just became a family drama, 80% of it was light romcom between the mains and bonding between Eun Soo and Woo Joo with 10% filler scene with the ml's sister -which I won't lie I didn't watch any of it- then 5% is the super convenient "connections", 2nd ml is 1st fl's childhood friend, 2nd fl is 1st ml's ex, 2nd fl and 2nd ml work together, and both are jealous of the mains ;/ and the last 5% is the actual murder mystery and makjang, and that was it.


they should've just made this into a romcom, Kang Ji Min is a really sweet ml who never snooped or judged which is refreshing but it takes away the spice of makjangs, and woojoo was an adorable baby girl. Lee Il Hwa is also great in here but tbh as an evil mother in law she only needed 1 DNA test to prove the relationship between the fl and her daughter, so like it didn't need 7eps for her to find out but atleast it's better than alice and the detective not having a DNA test on his mom's look alike ;/

The story unfolds very slowly and can be boring

Watching this drama, you need to sip your wine slowly, enjoy the background music and observe the hand gestures. The conversations were largely silent. I saw a man, given away to an orphanage as a child, who lived a lonely life, steered away from people and relationships. A kind and sweet woman, struggling as an actress, opened her heart to him, and he reluctantly accepted her feelings.

His ex-girl friend returned, hoping to rekindle their relationship. Their relationship then seemed perfect and unbreakable, but their affair broke after a fire accident. He lived a broken life until FL appeared. Likewise, FL's childhood friend decided to pursue her. a quadruple relationship is formed.

The deaf students introduced another aspect of him as art teacher and mentor. He saw in them, his own struggles growing up as a deaf child. He was generous with money and time to help people and his orphanage. I never knew a deaf person is allowed to own and drive a car.

He has established a good career as an artist that give good income and comfort. Yet, her family were sad and objected to their relationship. Her mother cried after learning her boyfriend was deaf. Doubts seeped in her, FL feared she won't be able to endure a relationship with a deaf person.

Que tristeza, que decepção

Não posso negar que parte dessa minha frustração foi por ter criado expectativas demais pra esse dorama.
Foi tanta quebra de expectativa que eu simplesmente fiquei com raiva e dropei.

O começo era legal, o personagem descobrindo o diário e de fato tentando agir como um seriall killer, isso realmente me deixou presa no dorama nos primeiros episódios.
Mas depois ele simplesmente começa a virar o mocinho herói, e é aí que vem a minha quebra de expectativa.
Teria sido muito mais legal que se de fato ele tivesse se transformado em um serial killer, com um final ruim (para ele) ou não.

Pelo menos o dorama foi divertido de assistir (o começo e meio pelo menos). Algumas cenas foram tão boas que tive voltar diversas vezes para ver de novo.
Me tirou boas risadas também.

Eu sou uma fã de Strangers from Hell então eu meio que tava procurando algo parecido. Vi algumas pessoas recomendando esse dorama falando que era parecido então já fui com o meu coração aberto, mas eu recebi um soco na cara na realidade.

Não consegui gostar, no começo estava indo em um ritmo bem e estava me acabando de rir em todo episódio, mas os personagens secundários conseguiam ser bem mais interessantes que a protagonista, a história de amor entre o casal principal é boa e interessante, mas eles não tem química alguma e parece que não conseguem interagir sem ser estranhos e causar mal entendidos. A família da protagonista me irritou muito e achei que enrolaram muito para acabar com o conflito entre os dois. No começo estava realmente interessada e animada para acabar, mas na metade já estava me forçando a assistir e estava arrastando muito os episódios, não senti vontade de terminar porque pra mim a história se perdeu um pouco.

And he’s tooo cute man I can’t take it, when she’s talking about her likes and dislikes and he’s just so invested that he was like yeah write it all down and give it to me, the dude is the greenest flag


before the synopsis change, and not reading it, ie not knowing this will be a cliche childhood connection, I had fun thinking it's an anti cliche, 2ml is the childhood connection and ml/fl loved each other as normal adults...

but If she’s 30, and he's 36, so as kids, it doesn't make sense for him to not forget a literal baby, if he was 12 and she was 6...
he was 16, she was 10... sure his life didn't revolved around love so he never dated, and he liked her again as a new person and he was happier she was the same kid
but she never forgot him, and again tho she liked him back as an adult and didn't know the truth till the end, but boom instead of more getting to know one another she was satisfied that was him



so things went down with that revelation, and 2ml became a creep that watched kids shows..

tho I am happy in small ways, they did become interested in each other just because, and their "dating" stage began before she knew he was the one she obsessively was looking for
and no matter the "destiny", I wished it wasn't such a big force in the plot, but otherwise they didn't have much plot and it's one draggy plot

Like I don’t understand how this annoyingly over aegyo fl unfit for her 30year old self, finally finally not only finds her creepy childhood crush, but also that adorable natural aegyo ml who she age shames for being older than her, and she doesn’t jump up at him and act double the cheesy aegyo together? Cuz now she’s too busy with work??
how did she never go around hugging him like dang girl was acting like she’s too good for him

Let's start with the good stuff first.

The first half Itaewon Class is amazing! The acting is on point, the story line is great, and I think that you can truly feel the emotions of certain actors (*cough cough* Park Seo Joon) when they are on screen. Although I have watch many K-Dramas, I have never seen one with a black character (that wasn't an extra) or a transgender character. I think that was very refreshing. Another thing that was refreshing was that no matter what obstacle the IC/Danbam group went through, they always came back to support and comfort one another. I loved that so much. But for some reason things started changing half way through the show.

My biggest issue was Jang Geun Soo. His random change from being the nice innocent part of IC/Danbam group to being the antagonist was so weird and kind of annoying. I understand that he liked Yi Seo for a very a long time and was trying to win her heart, but does it make sense to destroy everything that she had worked for and think that she'll come running into your arms? Like, what? She even told him that she doesn't like him in the way he likes her but he still continues to pursue her because of something she literally said YEARS ago. Get a grip dude. His character became increasingly annoying because he made it clear that the only reason why he was doing all of these terrible things was to get Yi-Seo who had publicly said on multiple occasions that liked, no LOVED, someone else.

And then Oh Soo Ah. She was just an annoying and forgettable character also. She would do all of these things to hurt Danbam but then would go and apologize to Sae Ro Yi right after. Her apologies meant nothing to me, which made them even more irritating. I understand that the chairman was the one making her do all of that stuff but still, why did Sae Ro Yi continue to forgive her? There were some moments that I think that he was just way too nice. He should have dropped her earlier and stopped forgiving her. She is hurting him on purpose. There's nothing stopping her for leaving Janga and going to Danbam (I can almost guarantee that she would get a job there if she asked for one). Instead she just continues to hurt She Ro Yi and Danbam. And then out of no where, she is now just another pushover Janga employee when Geun Soo shows up? Huh?? She was the chairman's right hand woman for so long but since Geun Soo made a prediction that was wrong, she's not anymore? The show just started confusing her character at the half way point and now she is just as annoying as Geun Soo.

This is going to turn into a long rant if I continue.

I haven't finished the whole show yet, I am almost done. I don't hate it, but there are definitely some characters that are getting on my last nerve. They are just so annoying and random at times.

I'll leave another review once I finish the show, but so far I would recommend it to others. It's not on my top 10 K-Dramas list but it is pretty good.

Adorable worth the watch!

This series is a light hearted romance that makes you count down the days until the next episode is available. While some go on for too long and become repetitive or lacking storylines, so far I’m going to be disappointed when this one ends in only 12 episodes.

Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Min Gue are super cute in the male lead / best friend sidekick. I’m invested in both of their romances, sweet with a side of humor. Of course combined they fall for the female lead and her best friend predictable but still very fun. The grandpa is hilarious in this webtoon that has rich guy trying to marry off his grandson and a rich boy falling in love with an average girl. It’s been hilarious to see the craziness of how they met and watching how their feelings evolve.

This will be on my re-watch list, I find myself wanting to watch the prior episodes already while I’m waiting for the next ones to be released. I’m nearing 110 Asian dramas and rate this one a must see.

Please make the SML the ML :)

I started watching this reluctantly because I am not a fan of Kim Ji Soo at all. Even so, I really liked the plot and the other characters, and for me, this was enough to continue the show. For me, it was such a relief that they got rid of him and I truly want to see the Princess with General Go. Such good chemistry and they seem like a really strong couple! Now, for the new ML he is bad in his portrayal but he did not have time to prepare so I guess his performance can be overlooked. Maybe he will get better in the next episodes but even if does not I still don't care because the FL and the SML do such a great job that even if they decide to kill him in episode 10 I would not care at all :D I did not feel any chemistry between the ML and FL so their romance i totally irrelevant to me. The other characters are great and the plot is engaging! I hope hope hope they will change the the romance to the SML. He deserves to shine as a ML!!!

One of the worst drama

Till 12 episodes it was good, after that it was horrible. I couldn't even find main charters. It was so disappointing.
