Both involve North and South Korea in conflict. Although there's no monarchy setting, it's very similar that involves melodramatic moments and a deep set conspiracy-kind of theme.

Both dramas tells the story of how General Yi Dan (Yi Seong Gye) became ruler of newly form country, Joseon. The Great Seer focus more on the changes that lead up to the origins of Joseon. The Six Flying Dragons focus on how General Yi Dan who is crowned King Taejo shaped and molded Joseon with the help of his son, Yi Bang Won and trusted friend, Jung Do Jeon.

They have both the same lead actors and if we fell for them in Full House then we may fall for them the second time around...

Adult serious thing.
Both have dark, bitter, cruel atmosphere.
Must watch for noir lover.

In both there are boyband singers playing the main male roles. There is one female, and in both the males become interested in that one female.
There is some comedy, though that differs a little between the two.

So clearly, Healer is way way better than City Hunter but if you saw City Hunter then you are in for a treat with Healer.

Both dramas have an arrogant and rich boy and a poor girl whose is not smart nor beautiful. The difference is that the main characters hate each other in the beginning. Later their hate changes into love for each other. It's very sweet and it's the feeling of someone's first love. Although there are not so many romantic moments. It's still one of the best old Korean dramas with two very good actors. They both share a great chemistry.

If you're in for great chemistry and a cute couple then go for this one!!!
