The main leads in both shows fall in love on set and have to overcome their own insecurities in order to truly be together. The chemistry between the main leads is so incredibly genuine and both set of actors are fantastic!
Both are similar in that they both have heavy themes of justice and society. Jack and Joker is a little more emotional in that Joke's guilt is a major motivator for him and everything he does in the show is to make Jack's life better. Whereas in Not Me, it is still emotional but not really in the character's relationships with each other, but more so the topics and in justice that are discussed.
Both are KBLs and those are always a good time. The main leads' performances are incredibly and heart wrenching. Both have similar plots, where one of the main leads had to wait a couple of centuries for their loves to be reincarnated after tragically dying. The Director Who Buys Me Dinner is a a little more serious, but First Love Again deals with the main character having to overcome that his love was reincarnated into a boy instead of a girl; this is a major plot of the story.
Similar idea, where the main lead has to wait so long to be reconnected with their first love who tragically died. Both are incredibly acted and relatively unpredictable. The chemistry between the main leads in both shows are just ridiculous
Both shows have similar tropes and crime elements. The chemistry between the main leads is insane! Both a gun first watch through but don't necessarily have what would make it rewatchable, but they're both still great the first time.
Both shows are based around moving on from a betrayal and finding new love in the process. Art, either in music or writing, is a huge component of each of these shows and the passion for these mediums are clear in the actor's performances.
Both cute high school stories and both main leads are in bands and are there for their boyfriends that feel WAY to much pressure from their parents.
Okay, so literally only the setting the similar, but it made my giggle when I thought of it. But, both main leads have the chemistry and the acting and plot are both solid.
I watched these two shows back to back both had me crying. The overall concept of each show is so relatable but also heartbreaking.
