The ENA K-drama Crash is returning with a second season!

On August 21, production company ASTORY announced that the first-ever K-drama about traffic crime investigations Crash will be having another season. 

Crash revolves around the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) team and their journey in solving traffic crime cases. In the new season, the TCI team will get involved more in diverse traffic crime cases. 

The first season was led by Lee Min Ki, Kwak Sun Young, Heo Sung Tae, Lee Ho Chul, Choi Moon Hee, and Baek Hyun Jin

For the new season, director Park Joon Woo (Taxi Driver and Doctor Detective) and writer Oh Soo Jin will continue to work together. 

The first season of Crash is a hit K-drama with its final episode receiving an average nationwide rating of 6.6 percent. The K-drama became popular because of its new and fresh storylines as well as the great performances and characteristics of the leads. The K-drama also followed Extraordinary Attorney Woo and placed second for the highest viewership rating in ENA’s history.

Because of its success, the production of a new season becomes possible.

The writer and director of the K-drama shared their thoughts on the confirmation of the second season. 

Writer Oh Soo Jin stated, "For the upcoming new season, we will feature more diverse stories of the characters from Namgang Police Station as well as the TCI team members. We will showcase different kinds of traffic crime cases so please look forward to it."

Director Park Joon Woo also shared, "Because of the viewers' support, we will do our best to make the new season into a dynamic, Korean-style investigative series with diverse storylines and thrilling car action scenes." 

The producer of the K-drama ASTORY concluded, "As TCI shifts its operations to the National Investigation Headquarters as seen on Season 1, Season 2 will explore a wider range of traffic crime cases, offering more storylines and exciting car action scenes. Please give the new season a lot of support."
