At first I thought that the story of Ae-Pete would continue to develop, but I was very wrong and in the first episodes I was a little put off by the fact that some scenes are repeated from the 1st season, apparently the creators wanted it that way. The second series is clearly dominated by the relationship between Tina and Cana, I wasn't very interested in those around them, and in the end the story develops nicely in relation to Tina's family, brother, father. I wanted to give a slightly lower rating, but the ending (episodes 11 to 13) was really powerful. And ... just as I don't need those young Asian girls with affines up to their eyes, there were also other types of young Thai men, and among them I was charmed by Hin right at the end, when the story of Tin's family unravels ...

It's rape, sexual assault, and incest my friends, not love.

Why does a story where men love men have to have so much sh*t in it. It couldn't be any sh*ttier honestly. Someone was RAPED and they make it a LOVE STORY. F*CK NO. Queer stories already have so much going against them, so WHY? And every relationship is toxic here. In addition to one relationship based on a rape, one relationship is incest, and the main relationship is abusive. In the main relationship, guy A often kisses guy B without his consent and after he's been told not to. That is sexual assault my friends, and if you're going to say "well, he wouldn't have gotten to kiss B any other way," then YES, GOOD. If the only way some one can kiss you is by doing it against your will, you should probably slap them, and if it continues, press assault charges. And the rest of their relationship is abusive in that guy A gets everything he wants out of guy B through manipulation and threats. It is not ok to break someone's phone to get their number, or any of the many manipulative things he does.
Finally, guy A's actor is Homophobic. I don't know if they knew that when they cast him, but they certainly could figure it out as they put him in ...kissing scenes with another man. And you can tell. His acting at times seems fine, but other times, you feel kind of sick watching him. Almost if you can feel the feelings he's trying to suppress coming out when he's acting...gay.
I'm so disappointed. I want to say something like it could have been better, but not this. The very premise is based on sexual, assault, rape, and incest, do just write a new story please.

Hmmmmm.....

If you have watched season 1 you can start this season at episode 7 because the first 6 episodes only recap the story if Tin and Can that you have already seen.

Also you won’t be confused by the time warp!

No Pete as we all know and EVENTUALLY we find out why - don’t blink or you will miss it!

I skipped through most of it just interested in Tin and Can and Tin’s back story. Liked the ending. Won’t watch again.

Although I liked the relationship between Tin and Can there is no real chemistry like there was with Ae and Pete alto ugh. I think Saint is a superb actor and he makes the difference.

So many that mad because of they change the story line. I also didn't like that Tin and Can like never meet in season 1. They change the story of how they meet. If you want to continue season 1 to Tin and Can story , you better start from Season Episode 7. Its sad for Ae that he breakup with pete but seem like they breakup because of Pete father. Maybe pete father disagree with their relationship so pete have to study abroad.

Rumor has it that Perth and Saint's managers had an altercation and that's the reason why Perth and Saint can no longer commit to a project together and that probably why they make them breakup in season 2

not a fan

I know that some people are big fans of this series but I kind of hate it. While Can was never my favorite in the original series he is way to much for me here. He was way to whiney and stupid throughout the entire series although I do appreciate his loyalty to the people he cares about. I also didn't like what they did with Aey. While the actor did a great job both the actor and the character deserved better then what they got. There are several scenes that are very good that I watch on Youtube, but honestly I would give this series a pass.

Loved it! I'll rewatch it!!

I've always loved Tin and Can together. Tin has this very sexy look, he's so hot, arrogant, hurt, lost trust and needs someone cute and clumsy like Can to make him believe in people and love again- like a kdrama plot haha. I never liked Ae/Pete's relationship as much as I liked Tin/Can's short moments in season 1, this season is like the treat I really needed.

Tin's acting is soooo good, one of the few BL actors who's acting doesn't make me cringe

Also to anyone who's annoyed that they recapped Tin/Can's scenes from season 1 before they continued with their new scenes, actually I think this was very smart to so since they didn't just recap their scenes but stretched them out with fillers where it looks more realistic to follow and see both of their POV. Also the recap of their moments from season 1 is really good for people who just want to watch Tin/Can's story without watching season 1.

I just really felt that Ae got too much screen time here and I didn't feel interested at all, always skipped. For those who want to see Ae/Pete's continuation that happens after this season then read the novel, its available in English on Amazon kindle and its very cheap.

In this season alone, there's 4 couples: 2 have bf/bf romance, 1 has a long distance romance, and the third one is a 3 love triangle of unrequited love (as in Tum's unrequited love for his step brother continues here, someone else has an unrequited love interest for Tum. Tum and his brother's relationship will continue in TharnType season 2 but their characters have different actors. Tum and his brother's story starts in TharnType s1, continues in Love by chance s1 and s2 then continues in Tharntype s2)

TinCannnnn!!

I loved how they did this series.

We can all agree that tincan got barely any screentime in the original Love By Chance. They needed more depth to them, and we got it. I loved how they went back to the beginning of tincan's story and went from there. That way we get a more real sense to them and not just going off of what we knew already.

Now I do agree that Ae got really annoying and No and Kla was so irrelevant. When I rewatched this series I skipped all Ae, No, and Kla's parts to just watch tin and cans parts.

I loved that we got a more playful and cute side of tin and how his and cans relationship opened up more. Especially when Can called Tin his sugar daddy, lol.

A chance to love, LBC S2 review

Disclaimer: Don't spread hate to the actors of this series as it's not their fault, it is however the producers at fault for this terrible series not the actors.

When I first started watching this series last year, I was excited for the it as I thought it was going to be the continuation of tin x can season 1's storyline for them however I was extremely disappointed and actually dropped the series for months, until I actually decided to just watch it and I finished it last night. Of course there were moments I'd giggle and laugh, and be flustered at some of the scenes but most of the series was just a shitshow. When I first watched it I was very confused because tin and can didn't even know each other yet, they completely re-told their story all over again, as if season 1 lbc tin x cans story didn't even exist. Even the characters personalities completely changed, they were much more softer and even cringey, not to mention when they kissed, it was very arkward and uncomfortable to watch. Yes the characters are very cute and because they became so soft this time, it was a much lighter series and they were cute but I still didn't like this series very much, because of the producers changing tin and cans whole story and characters. Not to mention ae, if this is meant to be tin x cans story why did we have to see ae crying for like 6 episodes? I could write more on this series, but I won't because I'm already writing what a lot of us fans are already thinking, or have written. Honestly probably one of the worst bl series I've watched (not lbc 1, though because season 1 was very good). I wish I or someone else preferably a fan could make season 2 or 3 instead and actually fix it, and actually give us tin and cans original storyline from season 1 and continue that story instead of the shitshow we actually were given..
After finishing it I have this really weird feeling in my stomach, I just don't like it, it doesn't fe right.

Tincan are funny and cute but the script and direction are both half-assed and poorly managed.

Despite the bedraggled and perplexing nature of the script, the main story revolving around TinCan was rather well done and I enjoyed most of their interactions. Both Tin and Can are two very distinct characters and watching their relationship evolve from dislike to friendship and to a subsequent romance was both hilarious and heartwarming. Can's innocence in contrast to Tin's iciness was just as charming as it was in S1. I also really loved how straightforward both Tin and Can are with each other and how instead of falling into petty misunderstandings due to lack of communication, they both choose to trust each other and talk through their issues while dealing with Tin's problematic brother and complicated family situation. Both the lead actors did a great job as well. Mean and Plan have the kind of chemistry that comes naturally and with ease which is perfect for an unconventional couple like TinCan. Their humorous yet emotional portrayal of the TinCan love story was the only saving grace of this show.

All the other story arc's were pretty redundant and even the existence of some of the characters were rendered moot by their lack of screentime. And some new side characters that were introduced were completely pointless. The klano pairing was disturbing due to what happened between them at the end of S1, tumtar took a rather bizarre turn at the end and suffered from severe lack of screentime and Ae's storyline this time was just frustrating to watch. Tulhin was the only supporting story line that was halfway decent. Although, I have to say that the whole Tin playing cupid for tulhin struck me as odd and unnatural, as well as OOC for Tin.

Other than that, this show is basically yet another example of how a story built on a bad script can't be salvaged regardless of how great the casting is or how big the fan base. How Mame managed to botch up her own story this badly, I'll never know. She took an interesting and unique story and turned it into balderdash.

Another problem here is that what people got wasn't what they were expecting - what fans wanted was the arrogant, ice cold and dangerous looking Tin and the mentally 5 year old cantaloupe and the continuation of their story. Unfortunately, what they got instead was a much softer Tin with a mentally 10 year old cantaloupe with a completely unnecessary rebooted storyline. Add into the equation a bunch of insipid supporting characters with unexplained storylines that goes nowhere and you have got the sequel combination that collectively pissed off the entire LBC fandom in one clean stroke.

Nevertheless, if you can get over the pointless reboot of the main story arc, this show might still be worth a watch, if only for the sake of TinCan. Although, It might be best to go into this with a fresh perspective and as a whole new series instead of considering it as a sequel. Keep LBC 1 as just background reference and start this series as a story independent of it. This series overall gives off a much different vibe than LBC 1. It's tone is much softer and the whole vibe that TinCan gives off is way less volatile as well.

P. S - lots of people seem to disappointed with the lack of kissing scenes especially since Tin and Can are both portrayed as sexually aggressive, but this might be due to the fact that one of the main leads (Plan) was suffering from dengue fever while filming this, so they might have had to cut down those scenes due to health concerns, so, I'm willing to give them a pass.

Almost finished

This show started off slow, understandable because of covid-19, had to reuse scenes from the first season, but honestly an awesome story arch connecting the 2 seasons, also they did an awesome job arguably with the loss of Saint (Pete) because of management issues. But the overall chemistry between Plan (Can) and Mean (Tin) is outstanding, even more so when you realize that Plan was fighting a bad cold but wanted to share the “side story” of TinCan, several of these scenes take place on the side from season 1, but also continue after the events of season 1, basically watch the first season first, since right at the start of the first episode is an “echo” it continues the flow of season 1 but also fills in the gaps of season 1
