Seemingly-innocent games like children's tag runs and escape rooms but people literally die :( Participants in both shows didn't have a choice in joining (or were tricked to join) but now they have to win for survival
In both shows a group of people are taken to an island and have to survive. There can only be one survivor though.

Game & Gore. It's japanese specialities. No need to think twice. U have no choice but to keep winning to survive. Your kids might not want to play with the toys anymore
Both shows have a group of people who decide to become the players of a mysterious game that has a big prize at stake. They have a similar vivid colors aesthetic. But Liar game is more psychological and has more clever games.
Both dramas collect a number of people to participate in a game. In return, they'll get paid a huge amount of money. In this way, everyone's violent sides are out. Both dramas are filled with thrill, crime and violence. We can see hierarchy and abuse of power. Anyone who liked squid game may like The 8 Show.
After a failed business venture, the debt-ridden chauffeur Seong Gi Hun lives his life gambling away the money he mooches off his elderly mother while failing to provide for her and his estranged daughter. When his life finally hits rock bottom, he receives an irresistible offer promising him a ?45.6 billion prize in exchange for winning traditional Korean children's games against 455 other players, among them his childhood friend Cho Sang Woo. Commencing the games, the participants soon learn of the deadly consequences that come with losing.
Both go to rather excruciating extents in ‘executing’ participants for a ‘game’. Though epic concepts it’s guilty to find that we find these kind of violent gore kdramas as attractive.
About six people who find themselves trapped in a maze-like cube and have to figure a way out, while evading fatal traps. Six people are locked in a mysterious cube shaped room. Both dramas are about a mysterious and cruel survival game with money prizes. Die Now is more sci-fi themed.
seemingly normal people playing death games with money rewards . some kinda sporty gf thing going on (kang saebyeok // chun xu xiang) . gaping plotholes in both .
Both revolve around a game in which contestants play for a cash prize. Squid Game seems like it'll be more action. Whereas Liar Game I don't really remember there being much violence. Liar Game was televised in the drama whereas I'm not sure Squid Game will be. Squid Game is a death game. Liar Game is more about swindling one another and lying to each other to get money. Liar Game had psychological things in it whilst I'm not sure Squid Game will since it hasn't aired yet.
Both are a survival drama. It's that in Night has come Mafia game is being played among school students in their youth time in going to a school trip but in Squid game there are elderly people teenager who are here in need of money and are playing various games where if any of them loose they are gonna die. So, I recommend watching both also squid will have a season 2 which most of the people know by now I guess but it's for those who haven't watched Squid game yet and who doesn't know there will be squid game season 2/
