Acting / Cast : good acting skill from each of the character, even just the minor role character, not over act and not stiff either.
Music : if u like cantonese music, u might like the music (almost all the cast is the 1 that sang for this movie)
Rewatch Value : i will definitely watch it again, the story are different, not boring at all, and have a 90's comical comedy which is i like so much.
Overall : a perfect movie for a 90's hong kong movie lover and for the game freak out there. ^^

Definitely my current top Asian dramas.
Every moment from the music, acting, and storyline was just captivating.
STORY: 10
From the beginning i was drawn in by Lee Min Ki's character so when they killed him off i struggled to carry on. His character was so centre of each episode so briefly but left such a mark on my senses for the rest of the drama. But then Sung Joon's storyline managed to keep me glued on. Having to step up as leader and the choices he had to make broke my heart. Every time you thought he finally found happiness he had to give it up.
It pulled on every emotion within me each episode which totally surprised me. At times I was in tears, shock, laughing or just numb from the grace and beauty of the scene. No episode felt the same and each episode left such an imprint that you have to keep going.
MUSIC: 10
At first I was reluctant on having to hear a song per episode but then each song was placed perfectly within scenes that I could not help but smile and sing along. All i can say is that the music is so great that i plan to purchase the soundtrack
ACTORING: 10
Every actor did their characters justice and portrayed them with such exact abilities that you totally understood their emotions when they were joyed, sad, angry and happy.

Drama Special Season 1: Pianist

I read in several different places that people only enjoyed this film because MinHo was in it and that in fact the film was mediocre. Well, it is not a work of art, that's for sure. Especially since the editing of the film is a bit odd - this was made in 2010 but I felt like I was watching something from 2003 or something. And that, for me, is pretty much the worst thing in this drama.
The story isn't, again, an art work. We have two characters who are somewhat lost in their own routines. When they meet eachother is actually like a breath of fresh air. Overall, it's a pretty story, romantic and somewhat inspiring. It's about overcoming your own fears but also working hard for your dreams and even having those dreams - because everyone should be allowed to do so.
The cast consists mainly of five or six people, being the main ones MinHo and Ji Hye. Ji Hye's acting is good enough and convicing, without being exagerated or the opposite. The same goes for MinHo. As someone who watched "To The Beautiful You" and is currently watching "Medical Top Team", it's obvious this was MinHo's first work in acting, but I wasn't disappointed. In fact, I actually felt this character fitted him better than Tae Joon. So, overall you won't find any award winning performances but none of the main actors have bad acting either.
As for the music, that was my favourite part. Since this is all about pianos, the music was mainly classical ou neoclassical, which, curiosly enough (since I basically spend most of my time listening to pop nowadays), is right up my alley - and what could fit better in a film called "Pianist" than some piano pieces?
To complete, "Pianist" is a medium film that you'll enjoy accordingly to what you expect. If you decide to hate in this simply because MinHo is in there (because, yes, there are people in this world that hate famous people just... because!), you'll probably think the film is crap. If you decide to watch the film as the best thing ever, you'll also be overreacting. However, if you go as neutral as possible trying to see what will come out of this, you'll be able to enjoy it - and you'll see it's a pretty okay film.

The storyline line was easy-breezy, not heavy just right.
The actors perfect. Female lead is a good actress-beauty &brains;. The husband was perfect cast - not drop dead handsome, just like able and real.
Overall, if you're looking something that's just fun, engaging, solid storyline, lots of dancing, laughs & tears, watch DQ.

I'm Sorry, I Love You

The acting was amazing, some of the best acting I've seen, So Ji Sub was fantastic, he's so good at conveying emotion, you could see exactly was he was feeling in his hauntingly beautiful eyes and I must say I loved he's hair in it,it was so wild and big. Lim Su Jeong was amazing too, her crying scenes were so believable and I really felt like she was really feeling what Eun Chae was. Ji Sub and Su Jeong did such perfect performances together, I believed everything and you really feel so much for Moo Hyuk, he's lived such a sad and hard life, suffering after suffering until he meets Eun Chae and even then, with the happiness they found together comes more suffering. To me this drama is the definition of true love. Everyone else's acting was great too. I did dislike Yoon's character as I thought he was very selfish and had to have his way all the time no matter who got hurt in the process but I guess since I disliked him, then Jung Kyung Ho's acting was a success. I really loved Eun Chae and Moo Hyuk's characters, I loved how genuinely innocent and kind hearted Eun Chae was and I love how Kind hearted Moo Hyuk was, I loved that although he has done a lot of bad things, he's a really good person under it all, I think both their characters is what made this drama so special and beautiful.
The story was brilliant, I personally loved it, it's not your typical revenge drama, there is so much more to it than that, there's no other drama quite like this one.
I even have this on DVD because I know I'll watch this again and again.
The music went right with the scenes so it was nice.
I genuinely cried after watching this, the ending was done beautifully. This drama is a classic, I personally prefer older dramas than newer ones, there's just something about them, they seem more innocent and less commercialised which I like. I'm already looking forward to the day I re-watch this again.
So if you decide to watch this drama which you really should than be prepared to cry especially during the last few episodes. This drama leaves me thinking about stuff I've never thought about it.
It's one of my favourites and I really would recommend it to anyone that wants to see what's it's like to truly love someone, I pray that if there is a god, that he will let me have a love like this in my lifetime.

Jeon Woo Chi: The Taoist Wizard

The story in itself is alright and even features some twists and turns towards the end, but it's the characters that make this show a really enjoyable watch. The side characters are given their time to shine and all have their small comic moments. As for the main characters, Woochi is played by Kang Dong Won with an appropriate amount of overconfidence and flair, once again proving how great of an actor KDW is (I picked this movie up because of him). Woochi is portrayed, rightly and very effectively, as a daredevil and lady's man.
The rest of the cast is great in this movie too. There're Im Soo Jung, Kim Yoon Suk, and some other familiar faces you'll probably recognize if you watch enough Korean movies and dramas. Kang Dong Won plays Woochi with such flair and personality. Kim Yoon Suk takes the spotlight when he appears onscreen, which is good since he is the villain in this show. He has a great screen presence and aura about him. I recommend watching some of his other shows, like Punch. Im Soo Jung has a smaller role as the female protagonist so I have little to comment on.
The side characters hold their own and have their own time to shine, in completely hilarious ways. The time travel element of the story also gives us many moments of comedy.
Seeing that there is a lot of action and supernatural stuff going on this show, the CGI, the film spots and the sets are pretty impressive. The story features two eras - ancient Korea and modern Korea. What is really nice is seeing the bright lights of modern Seoul being featured in the movie, including the now-famous Cheonggyecheon stream.
JWC the drama portrays the character quite differently, since it is afforded more time and space to tell the story of how Woochi came to be the Woochi we know today. This being a movie, however, feels snappier and as a viewer, I feel more secure that it knows where the story is going.
Even though I did not get to watch this movie at one go, it is definitely an entertaining watch.

If it weren't for the ending I would have given this movie a rating of 6/10 because I didn'T actually get why it is so hyped. I've read a lot about how good this movie is, so I was a bit disappointed as I came to watch it. I expected a real cool sassy girl, bt I just got a very mean and harassing b**ch. And I so often had the desire to kick her a** because she annoyed me so much and I just couldn't stand her character. I hate bossy people and control freaks and she possessed both features. But as their story went on I could understand her a little bit better.
After all it wasn't a bad movie and you probably should watch it because it seemingly is a classic. It's a nice pastime.

As you can see from the synopsis, the basis of this story revolves around a forbidden love aspect, in this case, a woman falling in love with her husband's son. Don't worry, there's no pedophilia here, all are adults. Interspersed throughout the drama is a secondary storyline about politics that I didn't really pay attention to, and I doubt anyone else watching this will, as it had no real bearing on the story in general. In fact, with the inclusion of the political story line I felt that the focus of the drama was a bit confused. Was I watching a political drama or a romance dram?
That serves to be one of the drama's biggest flaws; the lack of focus and the lack of raw emotion on the character's part. Rei and Hitoshi are supposed to be involved in a passionate, torrid love affair. I saw nothing of that. In fact, it seems that Hitoshi's main attraction to Rei is mere a physical one; the earlier in the drama we are treated to stereotypical scenes of him oggling her while doing household chores, and the obligatory scene of Rei getting a food item stuck on her lips and Hitoshi staring lustfully at the article of food. There are scenes in which an emotional connection is sparked between the two, but those are sparse. I think the political themed side story lined could have been done away with and we could have seen more of the relationship developed between to two characters.
I can describe this drama in one word: lukewarm. Given the heavy subject matter, I expected much more from the characters. Rei's husband and Hitoshi's father does very little to make Rei remain with him and to keep the couple apart Given his controlling nature at the beginning, it is all too plausible that he would go to great lengths to keep his wife; he did not. The character who we get the most out of is Hitoshi's former girlfriend Nanami. She is the character who gives the most emotion. Otherwise, for the supposedly controversial subject matter the drama doesn't really give much to keep you hanging on to your seat.
It isn't necessarily a bad drama, though it may be dull and slow moving for some. At the beginning you will be intrigued, but by the end you may just lose interest. The end was standard drama fare, so don't expect any surprises. Ultimately this drama can be use as a time passer and an opportunity to indulge in Saito Takumi eye candy.

The Sword With No Name

I greatly enjoyed watching how deep their loved each other from just the brief momemnts they shared with one another. They love is even grows even more beautiful once she becomes the queen. I loved the fact that they stayed loyal and strong when carring out their responsibilities (as a queen and soldier). Always knowing they boundaries despite how much they may have wished to be together. The momemnt they finally end up together is so touching and beautiful (best moment of film)
GRAPHICS: 6
Am probably right to think that film was meant to be in 3D due to the in your face effects during the fights (beside the last fight scene). Due to this the fight scenes did not look as eligent as usual bt they still managed to meet their purpose within the film.
ACTING: 9
Cho Seung Woo and Soo Ae pulled off their roles well enough that the other actors acting did not need to be great :)
MUSIC: 10
The one song in the film summarises it well

The storyline was decent and quite original. What I loved most was that even though this is a modern drama, a lot of the filming took place in the forest. It was a refreshing change from the usual dramas. In the end, the drama also explains why certain characters made certain choices which will let you look at everything that happened differently. Plus, there's many 'action' scenes to look forward to!
The cast was fabulous! Who can resist a cute little 5 year old boy in the main cast! Furthermore, he did a very good job in expressing his character. Lee Wei (Man/ZhenSheng), Tender (YouLong) & the guy playing Ku Ku (???all acted very well too. Their facial expressions, tone and body language were all there. There was a slight bit of awkwardness watching Kang Yi (MengFeng)though, maybe I'm just not used to seeing her potraying a 'cool' character. The predators were enjoyable and entertaining too. Overall, it was fantastic :)
I actually don't really like the drama's songs but I thought it was very apt and suitable for it. And since the first episode, I thought that the background music was very fitting and it makes me anticipate whatever is going to happen. That's why I gave it a 10.
I'm not one who's very into rewatching dramas but after watching the Behind-The-Scenes, I feel like rewatching the drama to see if I can understand the drama better. Plus, anything with a cute kid is probably enough to make me rewatch it heh.

It was really hard situation. When the sexual thing was ordered, I got crazy, I mean it's really hard. But I might decide the same too :))
But I found out that the next orders was harder than before.
And I was irritated about when they thought of escaping the game. That was stupid~! haha, but who knows, maybe even I will be tempted to do it and forget about the rule.
And about the ending, okay, I guess the wrong person of whoever the King is. and the King was unfair to execute someone just because the person can guess who the King is. That was so unfair~ xD
anyway, I really love it. About the acting, well it's good enough and I don't like Chiemi, her movements is like acting weak and its like she's seducing the guy XD
Anyway, I really like tricky movies like this :)
