Hey there!
I'm Thaya from Germany and addicted to asia (and especially japan) since my childhood.
Everything started with anime like sailor moon on tv and continued with more mature stuff later on. I'm sure I've read more than 2k manga and watched way more episodes of anime ^^" When I was about 16, I got interested in japanese music and also started to learn the language. My interest did not fade and I decided to study asian culture and everything connected to it for real at university.
Now I'm in my 30's, but I still enjoy anime and manga sometimes, but with the years my interest slowly transitioned to drama and movies.
Basic japanese is not a problem, so I can watch most stuff without subs and understand about 90% (as long as it's not as complicated as Hanzawa Naoki for example :D). I also know some korean but it's far from enough to watch anything without subs ^^"
I'm always searching for people with the same interest to talk about dramas and movies !
My favorite genres are Romance (good and deep one), Melodramas with a really hooking story and Medical dramas. I don't like history, comedy, war and sports stuff that much, but of course there are exeptions and I'm open to try every genre as long as the drama is good !
It might be a bit weird but I have a thing for dramas with controversial topics and taboo themes.... Romances which are either a taboo (like student teacher relationships) or with an age gap (yes I like age gap stories!), early or late preagnancies (14 sai no haha, umareru), mature dramas with sexual content, and stories where the leads get hurt and tortured really bad (mentally and physically).
Feel free to add or contact me if you'd like to talk <3
