Small Season One Review
Okay, so I went into this not realizing I was starting a show that wasn't completed, which is something I really try not to do as I'm too impatient. lol
This series was a bit difficult to follow in the beginning with all the time jumping, but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. The FL Jung Ji Ahn (Kim Hye Joon) was getting on my nerves a bit because there were a few times in the beginning where I was like, "Is she gonna pick up the pace or take this a little more seriously?" lol In retrospect it wasn't just her. It's that there are all these high level assassins attacking two kids so aggressively and yet also not nearly aggressively enough. Like the drones had ample opportunities to kill both of them right in their heads. Hence why I thought she should've been moving faster to at least make this look more realistic.
Most importantly, my husband Lee Dong Wook did a great job as Jung Jin Man. Right away when we learned who he really was and that he died I was like, "There's no way!! The show starring him is going to be all flashback style!?" Anyways, he was amazing.
Unique storyline and amazing acting. The flashback where we're introduced to Bale and come to know why JIn Man hates him was intense and brutal. Jo Han Sun is way too good an actor because just seeing his face makes me irrationally angry. Also, he just pulls off the psychopathic, soulless aura of Bale.
I knew this show was shorter than the usual 16-20 episode dramas, but I swore I thought it was 10 episodes. So imagine my shock when I'm at work, I've just heated up my dinner, and I start my show where I left off, the last few minutes of episode 8 and THERE HE IS. Jin Man. ALIVE! So I went to go to episode 9 and was shattered to discover no such episode exists and that's the end for now. Ruined my meal and my day. lol
Can't wait for season two. Hopefully it's not too long a wait.
