The anime, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, is one of my all time favourites so when I found out a couple days ago about this movie I just had to re-watch it in preparation for the movie. Overall, the movie was not that bad. It included most (but not all) of the characters and had a lot of jokes from the anime - although I do wish it included more, but it's understandable why there weren't that many. This movie is very funny and I really like how they based it on the festival from the anime, although I must admit, I was rather disappointed about the girls in the movie as not only were they very different from the original characters, but they were also in it a lot more which I felt took away from the point of it being about the boys. Also I must admit I did not approve of how they incorporated Ringo's character as she was a completely different person... However I think Nomura Shuhei slayed as Tanaka~! All in all it was a good, funny movie but did not do the anime justice.
