I love the Xiao Tian's character very much (just my type LOL)
Anyway I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it. I've read the comments and some said that it was good but was kind of put out since they said that there was no kissing scenes. As an avid fan of romance, I was skeptical. So I tried it and said that if it doesn't get interesting until episode 20 then I'll drop it but moving pass the line, I just couldn't stop myself from watching episode after episode. I have watched every episode and could concur that there was definitely no romantic kiss on this one. They did have the "bloody kiss" (watch it to understand) but I don't think that basically counts.
The love story was definitely sweet and romantic but to warn you, don't expected very romantic scenes. I kind of respected and at the same time resented the writers and director for that. Would it hurt to like put more romance in to it?

Another reason for my skepticism was the number of the episodes. I think by far this is the longest one that I have watched (forgot the number of episodes on other dramas) but I guess I learned my lesson, not to judge a drama by the numbers LOL.

To rate this one, I'd say 8/10. Was hoping for a better ending but I guess it was good enough. The ending kind of insinuated that there might be MIGHT be a sequel since it was in some way an open ending not technically an epilogue.

This is a good drama. I actually like the leading girl on this one, which is rare for me. She might have been annoying at first episodes but I really end up liking her.
She was responsible and kind but not someone you can easily just step on.

I Just watched The King's Avatar and Go Go Squid and had previously watched Love o2o, although they are different there are certain similarities (well, they mostly have the same themes LOL) I think this perfectly filled the lack of romance from the king's avatar, a better leading lady from go go squid and as sweet as the love story of Xiao Nai and Wei Wei.

The entire drama is cute and a definite "feel good" kind of drama. It'll make you laugh, cry and jump in joy. There were ups and downs but it the time that I spent on watching this was definitely worth it.

This drama introduced Yibo to me so, Kudos!

A permanent tattoo of your destiny's name in your body? Where do I sign in?

The context of being permanently marked with the name of your destiny is both terrifying and exciting. Terrifying in a sense that you are forever trapped in a tie with a person you supposedly destined to be, what if that person is not who you think it is? what if his a serial killer or someone you would never thought you would end up with. scary but there is still an exciting side to it, knowing that out there someone is waiting for you. Someone perfectly matched for you, to be your partner for the rest of your life.

Story (8/10)

The premise of the story is sooooo good and reading the synopsis, it got me hooked. The premise of the "nameverse", where your destined is permanently etched in your body was good and both Yoo Jae Ha and Jung Ji Woo's character is like the cherry on top. Their story is unique and funny and so was Sae Rom and Sung min's story. It was cute that he thought she was a boy, even I could see that she was a girl but hey, that's what the writer wanted it, not gonna argue (lol)

It wasn't exactly an extravagant drama since it was a web series but sometimes web series has better content than 16-20 episode dramas and this just proves that.

Acting/cast (7/10)

Love the casting for this except for Yoo Jae Ha which was played by B1A4 Gongchan. Don't get me wrong I LOVE B1A4, love me some beautiful target and baby good night but I just wished it was played by a different actor. Personally, I think he was too stiff and robotic (don't hate, its a personal opinion) but hey nobody is perfect in their first times right? aside from that, everybody is great.

Music (8/10)

OSTs are not really my cup of tea and I don't often notice them. BGM's were really cute as expected in romcom kdramas or webseries.

Rewatch Value (7/10)

hhmm.. I can watch it again since i love the idea for the "nameverse" but to be honest? I don't feel like watching again after 3 times. But this is definitely one of those, you have to watch even if just once.

This is definitely a hilarious drama that will keep you hooked all the way till the end.

STORY
I love the idea of the two different cities. A city of women in power? Although some things were just absurd and downright funny, the idea was really interesting. Although time-travel is not my cup of tea, ever since Scarlet Heart (Although I dropped it after a few episodes) this is definitely a good take on the genre and I love how they wrap up the story in the end. The heartbreak was short-lived and the way they connected the story and the reality, was genius.

There are so many things that I love about the drama from the actors to the storyline, supporting cast, costumes, and the ending. There was no prolonged heartbreak and lots of laughter.

I also really love some of the things that were pointed out in the drama about relationships, importance, responsibility, and equality.

“In a relationship, you have to manage yourself so that he understands the importance of your existence” - Qian Qian

Responsibility of the city owner and their families to uphold and protect their city. To always put their people first. Even though Qianqian doesn’t want to be the crown princess, the way she acts and views things makes her the perfect candidate. Even if she had the opportunity to strike, she refuses to do it because she didn't want to hurt the ordinary people.

The status of men and women was so different in each city, where one is always inferior to the other. Although I’m team Huayuan (since I’m a girl lol) the idea that only one gender gets to live a decent and good life is so absurd and wrong. I don't like that in Xuanhu, men treat women like servants with no rights at all and the same goes to Huayuan, where men are inferior to women. I love that Qianqian, being the screenwriter, understands the imperfections of both cities and tries to pacify it in the little things.

“Women don’t need to be understood but to be loved truly” - CO of Huayuan City

The love story between Qian Qian and Han Shuo was just funny. I mean it was like playing cat and mouse but I don’t want to spoil a lot and if you are worried if the ending is another scarlet heart, don’t worry. This drama has a happy ending.

CAST
It was kind of late when I realized who Ryan Ding (Han Shuo) was, I saw him on Intense Love which I really enjoyed. And as for Rosy Zhao, I personally really like her but somehow I just can never get to finish any of her dramas until now (lol). I started I Hear You, Love Better than Immortality, Love of a thousand years, and Prodigy Healer but never got too far and put all of them on hold. And I don't really know why, probably bad timing?

FINAL THOUGHTS
This is definitely a hilarious drama that will keep you hooked all the way till the end.

Would I recommend this? Yes, From production, acting, storyline, cast and setting as well as a good balance of comedy and romance, this is definitely worth watching.

A cute romance between a cold professor and his careless student.

My first impressions were 1. Professor Zhang is too cold, borderline Stiff but he is extremely good looking while our female is his exact opposite. When he is perfect, responsible and very logical while she is more casual, careless, irresponsible, carefree, and more in touch with her emotional side. 2. Although our female lead has a really good support system, from her overly supportive friends and her protective older sister. 3. No matter how perfect Professor Zhang may seem when it comes to his grandfather, he becomes more desperate and acts on impulse and last 4. This drama will definitely have quite a number of cliches.

In the early episodes, it kind of annoyed me that Yun Shu was really gullible. I hate that people kept on taking advantage of her and she has little fighting spirit. She does have a great support system but I somehow feel like it made her dependent, she is unprepared to face the outside world of college. I mean like its only episode 4 and she was scammed twice! I kind of viewed her as careless, impulsive, indecisive, dependent, immature but loyal, kind and compassionate.

I love that Yun Shu eventually matured in the end, it had a good happy ending, not too annoying supporting cast (namely those who wanted to split our Prof Zhang and Yun Shu), really good lines, and adorably sweet couples. Good lines like the following:

“I counted the times we get along with each other since I met Yun Shu for the fist time to the building of our contractual relationship and to this business trip. The number of times we get along with each other during this period is 821 times. In the process of contact, the percentage she showed happiness to me is 83.33%, amid this, 12% wasn’t caused by me. So the process of her getting along with me shows happiness generally. I also calculated my feelings about Yun Shu. Happiness and joy accounts for 73.33% so the date of the two of us getting along with each other is quite big among general couples.”
-Prof Zhang

Someone who is as stiff as him, this is one of his best lines. His brain isn’t like any guy who could come up with something so sweet, cheesy or corny, instead his brain functions with numbers, probabilities, data and conclusions so this line was such a sweet way of telling the other girl than, Yun Shu is the only one who can make him happy and no one else.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side...

This is the first Kdrama I have watched in a while and honestly this was a good binge.

This was captivating and really intriguing drama. The grass isn't always greener on the other side, the drama really encapsulate that phrase. The glamorous, envy-worthy yet mysterious life of public figures is really in interesting subject for a drama specially since it focuses on a specific type of public figure that we all know too well, Social Media Influencers.

The backstabbing, betrayals and mooching off of other people, trying to stay relevant, putting on airs, horrible behavior, fake-ness and being arrogant though exaugurated in the drama for storyline purposes felt soooo real. We always see dramas/fights in tik tok, youtube, instagram to twitter and a lot of the issues brought up on the drama including the use of substances are not too far off in reality and I think that's what makes this drama quite an intriguing and exhilarating to watch.

The revenge and the twist was entertaining, I honestly didn't expect that reveal and damn it got me. Though I was a expecting more for the revenge.

Is the drama perfect? No, but it was a good watch and honestly worth watching.
How about the acting? It was good, I love some of the cast members though there were character mannerisms that annoyed me but not too much.
Would I be rewatching this? Maybe, I would definitely watch most of the revenge and the satisfying ending to some of the character's I was really annoyed with in the early parts of the drama.

It has the storyline, setting, acting and pacing for a good drama. as expected from OCN

STORY
I love the heaviness and complexity of the drama. The painful story of those from the village and their secrets and especially to Yeo Na and Joon Ho’s tragic love. It's been a while since I have cried so much in a drama. Like seriously, this drama just broke me, I was a crying mess. Like that particular scene when Kim Hyun Mi finally realised her son and she was frantically asking Yeo Na about you know who and then she just collapsed in the garden, yelling at the sky, asking why? It felt like someone just ripped out my heart.
I love how the story line progressed and the connections of the main characters, how their lives in some way intertwined. Although I’m not usually the biggest fan of dramas that kind of run the same circles with the main characters, I love the twists and the shocking secrets within the drama. From Kim Wook’s past, Yeon Na’s death, Joon Ho’s story and Mr. Jang’s painful past.
Even though the drama was heavy on the emotions and suspense, I love the little and light funny/witty scenes, especially from Mr. Jang. Even though I was not expecting romance in this drama, there were some pairings that I wished would have worked out but that's just the romantic in me.
I also love how bittersweet the ending was. I wouldn’t say it's a sad ending but it's a very realistic one. That at the very end they have to say goodbye and that loose ends of their story lines are somehow closed. There are three things that really pained my heart at the end, it was with Wook’s Mom, Mr Jang’s daughter and the closing of Joon Ho’s storyline. Especially after finding out about everything and he just broke down in his room and said he couldn't breathe. Oh, I just broke down with him.
It was sad that they have to let go but since they are living, life must go on for them and that they continue on helping those who are in the village despite everything. I did have a few questions that were left unanswered at the end and I kind of didn't notice it until I rewatched it again.

CHARACTERS
Kim Wook is a con artist with a conscience and he is really good at it, like a modern day robin hood, along with his two other friends Jong Ah and Nam Guk. He is a child at heart and a really good man who always tries to do the right thing. He has a temper (that turns out he inherited from his mom) but has a really soft side when it comes to children. He is really loyal to those he cared about, especially to Nam Guk and Jong Ah.

Jang Pan Seok is the old guy who lives in the mountains. He connects the village and the real world by finding the bodies of those who are in the village so that they can cross over. He is the only human in the village (before Wook arrived) but only Thomas and Detective Park know that he is human. The story with his daughter was really sad.

Shin Joon Ho is a good and ambitious detective, although he does have a bit of an attitude. His fiance went missing just a few days before their wedding which was really heartbreaking, well his life is very heartbreaking with all its secrets. He is a bit distant to his mom after she disapproved of his fiance.

Lee Jong Ah is Kim Wook and Nam Guk’s techy friend. She is smart and has this girl next door vibe. I think she is the youngest out of the three musketeers and obviously the smartest. She is really good with computers and technology which was a huge help to Wook in their cons and on finding the missing.

Choi Yeo Na is Shin Joon Ho’s Fiance. Days before her wedding, she had a fight with Joon Ho and before they could ever reconcile she got a knock on her door and she was kidnapped and killed.

Thomas is like the foreman in the village, he was also the first one to arrive in the village when he died during the Korean-Japanese War. He is really good with his hands and the person that most of those living in the village rely on. He is also the first person who usually sees those who just arrive in the village since the “door” is in his cafe.

CAST
I’m not really familiar with Go Soo since I haven’t seen his works yet (I think?) but I’m familiar with some of the cast. Of course I know Ahn So Hee, like any second generation kpop fan knows who she is (lol) and I really enjoyed her on Train To Busan. And she is also my favorite member in Wonder Girls, so… (lol)

I didn’t recognize Heo Joon Ho (Mr. Jang) at first but have always felt that he was somewhat familiar but when I looked through his profile on MDL, I was quite shocked and wanted to hit my head for not recognising him, like he was one of my favorite characters in Kingdom, he played Master Ahn Hyun.

And then there is Ha Joon who played Joon Ho, my favorite character in the drama. I find him really cute and his acting was good. I haven’t seen any of his work but will definitely try to add Black Dog on my watchlist.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I love the suspense and the set up of the drama. The storyline is compelling and the pacing was good and the acting was great. This is a really good drama and I expected nothing less from OCN. and I really appreciate the more realistic and mature ending of the drama.

Would I recommend this? YES! This is definitely worth the watch, it has the storyline, set up, acting and pacing.

Its one of those dramas where you are so captivated by the story that you don't mind it having such a long run and I'm actually glad that it was long 'cause if it wasn't then they story and the build up wouldn't have made it worth it in the end.

Story (9/10)
Its not exactly a new theme or fresh but when done correctly it is a touching and heart-warming story. There were parts of the story that I just want to pull my hair out of frustration but at the end I think that's why I grew fond of the drama. I also love every character arcs in this drama and really appreciate that they try to incorporate or share the back stories and details to make some situations more plausible and not just make it a random memory or a part of a passing conversation.
At the beginning I was kind of frustrated why the build was so slow, specially Guo Guo's character, She was strong willed and loyal, righteous and forgiving. I also love Yun Kai's character. He is this easy go lucky lawyer but when it comes to those he cares about he is very admirable. If I were him I would have resented his brother and stepmom for stepping in his life and would have found a way to make them pay for replacing his mom and that's why I appreciate the writers for not leading it in a dark path. Yun Kai even though he stresses his stepmom to death still cares and even though he would annoy his brother to hell he still cared and looked out for them in his own way.

Acting/cast (9.5/10)
Like most of very long dramas, I really hesitated before starting this one and the only reason why I watched it was for Deng Lun. This kind of roles does really fit Deng Lun, he fits the easy go lucky and loyal type of guy and I kind of find his outfits on this cute (those outrageous flashy suits, LOL). Kudos for the casting director, I think the actors played their part really well. Like Yu Xin, she was pretty and looked innocent but underneath the sheep's cloth is a wolf. I really liked the kid that played as Guo Guo's daughter she was cute and didn't seem awkward acting at all.

Music (8/10)
Honestly, I don't remember the intro and outro for the drama since I mostly skip it but the timing of the BGM in crucial moments were okay. They added that special tug on the heart during heartbreaking moments and suspense on exiting scenes.

Rewatch Value (9.5/10)
Definitely gonna watch it again. I love Yun Kai and Guo Guo's chemistry and really loved that they didn't break up at the some point unlike most Chinese Drama's that I watched. Probably gonna skip a lot of family drama and just watch Guo Guo's love story LOL, it would definitely a good pick me up.

By far in all the drama's I have watched, this is the most relatable one.
That feeling of liking some, watching them from a far; appreciating them from a far; loving them from a far. Its not exactly a new theme but when done correctly, its one of the most amazing love stories out there.
Loving someone not because you get something from them or expect to be loved in return.
But because your heart tells you too.
I really admire the writers for not letting Lou Zhi become like any other Female leads out there.
When she said that Innocence is important my heart just bled for her. When they fought in the rain, when she told him that he had already decided even if she explains herself.

It kind of reminds me of Monsta X's new song "Someone's someone" (although my heart is still breaking) it said
"We all wanna be someone's Wanna be someone's someone With somebody we can't live without" and the lines "Perfect with no reasons Reasons are for people you meant to lose"

You don't need reasons to love someone, you just love them.

A drama worth every watch!

Losing someone is painful be it a friend, family, or partner and each of us handles the pain in our own way. Some drink their sorrows away, some keep themselves busy to keep their mind off of it, some show it in anger or act like nothing or drown themselves with sorrow and get sucked in a hole of constant pain with no end in sight.

You know those kinds of shows that you have no expectation at all that gives you the best shocks? Well, I did not expect to love this so much, the only reason that I gave this a chance was because of our beloved Ha Jin, played by Moon Ga Young.

STORY
The premise of the drama is about a guy who can never forget and the girl who can’t remember and how memories from the past connect them. I didn’t expect it to be cute and lean more on the romantic comedy side rather than a melodrama, I mean reading the synopsis, doesn’t it give you that melodrama heart-wrenching vibe?

“Which one of us is more pitiful? Me who can’t forget my memories for the rest of my life or Ha Jin who had to forget her memories to live?”

I think that question was repeated more than once on the drama and it was very fitting. Every time this line comes in, its really painful, I mean you can’t put value or measure on someone's pain to yours. Since we are all different, we also feel pain differently.

The backstory is really sad and I felt really bad for Seo Yeon, she was a really good person, and to suffer like that just breaks my heart and at the same time, it angers me to a whole new level. Stalking and kidnapping are just…….

“Memories are supposed to lose color and fade away as time goes by. Don’t feel tormented for not remembering”

I really love the way Anchor-nim comforts Ha Jin, it feels realistic, mature, and more relatable.

I really love the flow of the entire drama. It didn’t feel rushed nor did it feel like it was dragged. It gives you enough drama to keep you on your toes but then also giving you those fluffy romantic scenes that will definitely keep you giggling and all giddy.

I also love that the drama didn’t just focus on their love but a lot of other things like work ethics, sister/family love, stalkers and struggles of public figures.

I love that they showed how public opinion is so easily swayed, that one day you’re at the top of the world and the next, you’re at the bottom of the food chain. Public opinion can be easily manipulated which makes me really sad that that somehow became normal in our generation.

One of my favorite episodes where 21 and 22 cause like 90% of it was just full of fluff and love, not a lot of stress and then that was also the same episode where Anchor-nim visited you know who is prison and compared him to bat-shiiiii-crazy guy # 1 and how he strongly and aggressively argues that they were not the same.

Monsters don’t see who they really are when they are looking at the mirror, they don’t see a monster staring right back at them. That’s the art of denial and ignorance. When you have done something and can’t accept or even see the fact that you have done it for the wrong reasons, justifying it for something good when morally its not.

Monsters delude themselves with delusions and view them as reality to keep them from seeing that there is something wrong with them.

I hate that Dr. Yoo (the dad not the son) just wanted to sell his book about people with hyperthymesia . technically, he is breaching the doctor-patient confidentiality and I think for psychologists, it one of the most important part of their code of ethics (and so proud with Tae Eun for actually voicing this out in the drama)

If I remember correctly, the exemptions to this is *to protect their patient and public from harm *to report abuse and neglect of children, elderly or people with disability and to *respond to an order from a coart. And none of those things co-align to what Dr. Yoo is doing.

Another thing is recording people's private conversations without consent. I know that for psychologists it's not something out of the ordinary but I don’t think recording without permission of the other person is not right. Private conversations are private, and it's not like they are his current patients either, Anchor-nim is his “former” patient and although its normal for doctors to check up on his former clients out of concern but what he was doing is definitely not out of concern.

And when he said “I know him the best”, oh I almost flipped my desk How shameless and obnoxious he is! Who is he to decide other people's fate? Tbh, I hated the doctor more than the stalker. I mean the stalker clearly was not mentally stable but the doctor…. He is a doctor, a professor, supposedly a good one at that but he was ignorant and completely disregarded the code of ethics that he vowed to uphold when he first became a doctor.

“I’m devastated that my father is someone who ‘s this low”
when Tae Eun said this, I could hear the angels singing hallelujah in my ears. Aside from Anchor Lee and Ha Jin, Tae Eun is my favorite character, even surpassing Ha Kyung. Not only is he really kind and loyal but he is also a really cute doctor *wink, you know what I’m saying~

The chemistry between both leads were just…. *speechless.
They are such contrasts but perfectly just fits each other. I love how the writer wrote their love story. Both lost souls and found each other. It might be different for other people but somehow this pairing is my favorite out of all kdramas that I watched. I can’t put it into words but the way the drama kind of build up their love and trust was amazing.

Unlike Ha Jin’s explanation on her movie that it was a sadistic movie, that you know you’re gonna get hurt but you still love it and watch it, this drama didn’t get me enough pain for it to be soooooooo heartbreaking. ‘Cause at every pain in this drama, the director and writer immediately heals your heart.

This drama is also good learning material for couples, like relationship 101.
If you have a problem, talk it out!!! I love that they always end up talking about their feelings and that they don’t mind being vulnerable to each other!
If the other walks away, stop them! (well, it didn’t really happen) but they did talk about it and anchor-nim expressed his feelings about that scene before the time jump. His regrets and all.
Always be considerate to your partner, always think about what your partner might think before doing something, especially if it affects them.
Always find time for each other, despite hectic schedules and work, always find time to be with each other.

The ending….

I was really hoping for a really good ending and thank god that the director and writer did not break my heart. I love that it was more of a mature and realistic approach for the ending. You know that satisfaction of putting the last piece of puzzle after playing it for days and even weeks? That's how I feel with the ending, there was no big bang! But it is more real and more satisfying.

CHARACTER
Yeo Ha Jin is the quirky actress known for playing not exactly good girl characters and is apparently a huge fashion Icon. I’m living for Ha Jin. I just love her. She is clumsy and funny but can be very serious when she wants to be. I love that her character is really kind and considerate.

She can be quite naive and insensitive at times, like not realising things faster. I think you would either hate her or love her, she is very active and very approachable and sociable that it might not sit well with others and might come off as clingy, forceful but that just makes Ha Jin so good. Ha Jin is good to a fault. She trusts and forgives so easily, like what happened with Chul.

I think at the beginning it was purely out of her curiosity that drawed her in to him and the more she thinks about him the more she sees the other things that made him different. He was kind but distant, considerate but cold but despite being distant, aloof and cold, he has his own style of humor and is very loyal to those he values and he believes in. She even said that everything started because of the way he looked at her during the interview.

She was curious why he had those sad eyes.

Another thing that I love about her character is that, when she sets her mind on something, she does it (sometimes clumsily but still) . Her relationship with her younger sister is hilarious. Sometimes it seems like Ha Kyung is the older sister and Ha Jin is the youngest.

Lee Jeong Heon is the anchorman for the News Live for HBN, known as the “gentle tyrant” for exposing his guests with that calm and somewhat innocent face of his. Jeong Heon from the start came off as strong willed and opinionated.

Jeong Heon has a condition called hyperthymesia, that allows him to remember nearly every moment in his life, a condition that he sees as a curse, a disease. I mean it's understandable to feel that way, to be able to remember everything clearly even those memories that horrifies you, to be able to still recall it so clearly is just terrifying.

I love that Jeong Heon is really gentle and patient with Ha Jin, he is not the most affectionate guy when it comes to romantic gestures but he sure has tricks up his sleeves. At first, like Ha Jin he was curious about her. She reminds him so much of his first love and I think that really draw him to her and when he found out who she really is and what happened to her, I'm not really sure if he felt pity or not, cause even though he said to Ha JIn that he didn’t feel that, his face when Tae Eun told him the story, his face says he did. He realized that he wasn’t the only hurting.

I think in some way he was a bit jealous of Ha Jin cause even though she didn’t mean it, she got to forget all the painful memories but at the same time he doesn’t want to lose his memories as well, even though he views his condition as an illness he still values the memories that he has.

Yeo Ha Kyung is Ha Jin’s devoted baby sister. I really love Ha Kyung for being the “older” one between the two of them, imagine if Ha Kyung is like Ha Jin (oh the mess and chaos). Her love story with Reporter Jo was really cute too.

I really love Ha Kyung’s devotion to her older sister. She sacrificed so many things just to protect and support Ha Jin, and when Ha Jin said that she felt guilty for Ha Kyung being always by her side, it just tells you how much the sisters love each other. Ha Kyung didn’t stay out of responsibility nor did she see it as a job but she did it for her love for her sister and wanting to always be there for her since she saw first hand how Ha Jin suffered.

Now make way for my Tae Eun (lol)

Yoo Tae Eun is the good looking and overall good between the two Dr. Yoo in the drama (lol). He is Jeong Heon’s loyal childhood friend and also Ha Jin’s former doctor. Like I mentioned earlier, aside from the main couple Tae Eun is my favorite character not only because he is good looking but also his importance in the main lead’s story.

Tae Eun’s scene near the end was like the cherry on top for me, the way he handled everything and how he put importance in Ha Jin and Jeong Heon’s well being that he was willing to turn himself in for everything.

I love that he was more like the father and his evil dad is the son. I love that he was disciplining his dad. I actually didn’t expect him to be the one to end that line of the story, for him to actually put a stop to it ‘cause at the beginning he was like a pushover by his dad but damn, my Tae Eun did it!

Characters to mention:

Jo Il-Kwon is the Anchor-nim’s loyal Heobae, the tall good looking field reporter for HBN. I mean if all reporters are as good looking as him I’d probably be watching news all the time (lol). Anyway, I love that his character is very consistent ‘till the end, he is a bit weak, clumsy but affectionate and lovable. His love story with Ha Kyung is both funny and cute, a really good second couple.

Choi Hee Sang and Kim Cheol-Woong are probably the best boss out there. She is the director of the News Department for HBN, which makes her Anchor-nims direct boss. I really like that she was very supportive to Anchor-nim, always considerate but at the same time firm. She is married to Cheol Woong, the guy she met at church. He is the director for news live which makes him Anchor-nim’s direct supervisor. This pair is really funny.

Yoo Sung Hyuk is the worst psychologist ever. He is arrogant and opportunistic, using his patient to be famous. I hate him and unfortunately, he is also my Tae Eun’s dad. Although he got what he deserve, I guess his ending was enough (he is still my Tae Eun’s dad lol)

Moon Chul is the manager? I’m not really sure if he was the manager or the driver? I was kind of disappointed with him at first but now wow, what he did with that bucket was just an epic (though petty) revenge, go Chul!! I feel bad for him because of his backstory and was really happy with his ending. The first time that I laughed at him was when he was being interrogated and then he looked at the tv and cursed at the stalker and my face and the detectives face was like... lol

Park Kyung Ae is the bubbly and super supportive CEO of Ha Jin’s agency. I don’t know why but she reminds me of Nam Joo Hyuk’s mom on Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. She has this motherly vibe that I really like. She was hilarious at the last few episodes, her accents got me laughing

Park Soo Chang is that piece of t**** paparazzi, I'm not even gonna call him reporter ‘cause it feels like it's giving that profession a bad image. He is the type of paparazzi that I really hate, invading people's privacy and has the audacity to be proud of it. Calling himself a reporter just makes my blood boil.

Ji Hyun Geun is the director for Ha Jin’s film First Love. not gonna say a lot about him but except for, my gut was right (lol, if you have watched it you’ll know)

Moon Seong Ho is the stalker.
*i don't want to tire my brain in thinking about him, just three words, I HATE HIM.

ACTORS
The main reason that I actually watched this drama was for Moon Ga Young, I first saw her EXO Next Door but I didn’t realise it was her until I saw it on her filmography. I love her in The Great Seducer, her character Soo Ji was really amazing. I fell in love with her because of Soo Ji.

I haven’t really heard of Kim Dong Wook before but I’m definitely gonna look out for projects now. Didn’t expect to actually like him since I like a certain image for my main leads but damn, Dong Wook converted me (lol) He is a really good lead.

It turns out I have seen my Tae Eun in other dramas, just didn’t realise it

I actually didn’t expect to see Kim Seul Gi here and I was especially shocked when Lee Jin Hyuk came one the screen. They have chemistry. It was cute.

Lee Seung Jun….. just… every time he's in a drama it just catches me off guard, does this guy even have a break? Why is he in a lot of the dramas that I watch? And then Ji Il Joo really fits his role (lol)

FINAL THOUGHTS
I'm just gonna go right ahead and say it, this is my favorite Kdrama of the first half of 2020, this is my personal preference but tbh I’d rather rewatch this again and again than other dramas this year so far. I mean there were really amazing dramas in the first half of 2020, some of them I have yet to watch and some I did enjoy but so far, this drama just jumps up my list.

Although my list is constantly changing, based on my feelings now (this instant) this is my favorite. You’ll never know, the next one I watch might surpass this but for now, this is ranking 1 and there is a gap, a big gap with the 2nd and the rest. That’s how much I love the drama.

Would I recommend it? A big YES. its a drama that plays on your heartstrings, it will make you cry and laugh but overall, it gives you great lessons as to how to make a relationship work. COMMUNICATION, DEVOTION, TRUST AND LOVE.

Not bad but could have been better

Drama clips posted on the web is very common, you see them on all platforms from Facebook, Instagram to youtube. be it less than a minute to a compilation of highlights.
I first saw a clip of this drama on Facebook, it was the scene where she fought with someone during a dress fitting and they paid those who saw it to shut their mouth. and just like that, BAM! Episode 1 here I come!

Story (8/10)
Had a lot of expectations for this drama, it was funny. definitely had me laughing. there were a lot of dramas that showcased rich people, rich kids, and their over-the-top spoiled bratty personalities. but this is probably the first time that I have seen the behind the scene like this one. Rich people definitely has a unique way of solving their own S*. The storyline definitely had potential to be an amazing and epic drama but I guessed the writers were holding back adn wanted a completely different perspective, there were conflicting things on the story.
If you compare it with other dramas with big budgets from big stations then it definitely lacks that bang! for an outrageous concept but oh well..

Story (9/10)
The story was really interesting and when I found out that it was inspired by a real athlete, it immediately got my interest. Different from my usual drama's, I love that there was no love/hate relationship from the Female Lead and the Male lead at the beginning and that there most of the time good relationship between them. I appreciate that the writers didn't create that much rift between them in times of those that they fight. I'm a sucker for romance so I appreciate that they are quite affectionate and that they have a good chemistry. It was really interesting that at the beginning the behind what happened on his suspension wasn't really given that much importance since it was such a huge part of the story. Usually directors would put clips on the behind incident to create that suspense but I think it wasn't emphasized enough, which I really love since we got to really see their friendship and trust for each other groom. I kind of laughed at myself that at the end I was like "oh yeah, the suspension there's that. what really happened?"

Acting/Cast (8.5/10)
I love the Female and Male lead. They really do have that chemistry. I love the actors in this drama. Kudos to the casting director, he/she did a good job on picking actors for their role.

Music (9/10)
Out of all the CDrama's that I have watched, this one probably has the most OST's that I really loved. I don't usually search OST's cause they are not technically my cup of tea but some of the scenes in on the drama really fit the songs and it just made me more invested in the situation.

Rewatch Value (9/10)
Definitely gonna watch it again since I really love that their is an ample amount of skinship with the female and male lead. I usually find some scenes in Cdrama's either corny or cringy, but I really love the Female and male lead's chemistry and interaction.

Overall (8.5/10)
Its a good drama that I would definitely recommend. It showcases the perseverance and will in fighting for your dream that despite the obstacles and trials, its not over until you say and believe that it is. You only loose when you have given up. That with dozens of reasons and factors that say's you can't there will be hundred to thousands of reasons that you can!
