Ling x Qi Luo 

Watched this oldie but goodie first time back  when i was a Young teen and to this date still the best couple of all time for me!! If this is not true love Idk what is..  two opposites with dark pasts who find love and comfort in each other. The skinship is so hot , passionate and healing! You can’t find a drama couple with more chemistry than those 2, but No wonder really since the actors were even dating irl around this time. 

Its a shame not nearly as many Taiwanese dramas are made anymore :/ dont know Why, usually they have the most and the best (natutal)  skinship out of all asian countries! It feels the most real / raw. Mars is a Classic based on a 90s manga … does it feels outdated? Yes a bit , but the wonderful couple makes up for all of it <3 there is a japanese drama version (And a movie ) that is much newer, and that one is a dissapointment. 

Here it says 13 episodes so the episodes then are longer. I however watched it with 21 episodes(which is easier to find i think ) so the episodes then are ofc shorter

the actors Vic Zhou and Barbie Hsu starred previously in the super famous drama Meteor Garden (2001-2002) just that he was the SECOND male lead, so as you know they did not end up together 

Dongfang Qing Cang X Orchid 

China is the best country when it comes to make EPIC legendary love stories that screams destiny /soulmates!! Usually its like that in their XIANXIA romance dramas … besides the outstanding , beautiful fantasy settings, clothes ,  awesome CGI etc - the OTP sacrifices a lot for each other and usually its reincarnation Lovers , etc .. doesn’t get more epic than that!

This is a EPIC love story for sure also about sacrifices ! They are definitely detnied To be together and are soulmates, it doesn’t get any more obvious than that! I also love that they change Bodies with the other one (but thankfully not too much ) it makes their connection even  deeper because they really get to know each other in the deepest way possible and it feels SO intimate and personal  !!

the chemistry is amazing and their love for each other is very deep and pure even on ML’s side who is the big bad powerful Devil!! Shes anything but powerful and is seen as ’weak’ therefore looked down on ..But is it really what it all seems??She the sweet innocent pure kindhearted soul fairy wants nothing to do with the big bad Devil but ofc she can’t escape her fate.. HE is her fate! He falls deeply in love and so does she (eventually) and they go moon and back for each other over and over again. She is the only one who softens his ice cold heart, they are one of the most perfect Ying / yang (opposite attract couples) <3 what I really appreciate about DQC and Orchid’s wonderful fairytale like relationship is that there was No bug betrayals between them, their love for each other was so strong that they didn’t let anything come between them .. refreshing ’cuz usually in xianxias there is at least 1 huge betrayal from one of the leads and it gives me a bad taste in the mouth… 

 idc that some may find this drama ’childish’ ’simple’ etc , for me it deserves ALL the hype it got when it was airing!

maybe not the explosive kind of chemistry.. their chemistry is more subtle/mellow… that doesn’t make them any less good than the other pairings tho. Their relationship is actually quite healthy and very Healing, they have a deep emotional connection, and Gang Doo who at First seems like a bad boy with a temper (red flags anyone?) turn out to have a heart of gold despite being rough on the edges. Actually a total sweetheart! A Green flag!! And Moon Soo is a reserved but strong and firm person, their beauriful relationshi makes me so soft . They share a traumatic experience together as kids and still haunted them to this day , and probably always will but with help of love and support of the other one (and their surroundings) can learn  to live with it and be at peace <3 

He Ran x Xiao Han 

ahh Jerry Yan (the ML from the super popular Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden from 2001) ages like fine wine! This drama is so mature and sensual .. its not your typical romance Cdrama for sure! The sexual tension is crazy , a Forbidden love between an sick girl from the uppe class and the much older guy who is poor. .

This drama feels so bold for a Cdrama even tho its so obvios it got censored.  . This is a steamy drama for sure but the deleted scenes makes me wanna take a cold shower !! Omg SO steamy!! 

I love how bold the FL here is unlike many Cdrama FLs, here she actually is the one who is pursuing him , taking charge from time to time. If you want something different , watch this (well if you don’t mind big age gaps!) anyways i just love that hes poor village man,  shes rich city girl … when its like 90% of the time the opposite! This drama has no cringey, cheesy or over the top moments ,kudos to that !! And oh ML here has cool tattoos ,which ofc is a plus since its so darn sexy… ;) 

I love the cinematography and everything !

Makino x Domyouji

Out of all the versions (Idk about the latest remake tho - thai version , haven’t watched it) this is the only version’s Makino / Domyoji is actually like (tbh i even LOVE them <3)  the chemistry is amazing and natural .. the only version where i fond the chemistry more amazing is Shancai / Do Ming Si from the TAIWANESE (definitely not the chinese ) Meteor Garden from 2001, but they were too toxic for my liking ! I’m not saying this version’s couple is all healthy , No .. they have some big problems too but nowhere as many big problems as Shancai/ Do Ming Si! (And also i hate s2 of MG.. it Destroyed their relationship)

anyways… i love this Makino .. shes sweet kind feisty strong but without ever being mean / b*tchy or annoying! Domyouji is ofc awful here at first (like all other versions ) but when he falls for Makino he treats her a lot better than in the other versions and he never tries to force himself on her and never lay a hands on her. This is the only version (dunno about thai version tho as i Said ) with a TRUE happy ending that actually got closure! S2 was good and the movie (finale) is also good .. so its not just s1 that is good! 

 Has Been rumors that Inoue Mao and Matsumoto Jun (the actors ) has Been  dating for maaaany years .without either of them neither confirming or denying it. ..idk Where the rumors came from ?? Maybe because of the amazing chemistry??

Based on the most popular shojo manga (from 90s) of all time (has even a anime!) so since this is such a old storyline yes it feels outdated but this drama version i felt they tried to make most things as little problematic as possible
