guessing game, the k-drama. honestly trying to figure out who big mouse is had me loose braincells every week but i'd be lying if it wasn't what kept you watching. has a cool prison setting and LJS looking fine as hell and will very much entertain one way or another, but my heart breaks for the ladies in this show because they deserved BETTER

putting this in here because of the disaster aspect! this was my first medical drama and i don't regret it. in the midst of my "i can never watch another show ever again after vincenzo" phase, it got me hooked and i binged it in a few days. this show was basically that one RDTK3 arc with the collapsed building but for 20 episodes

this drama walked so vincenzo could run!! it might not be as iconic but honestly has everything i could ask for; sexy lawyers, gangsters, quirky humor, revenge, action, all the good stuff. i do remember the story getting a bit thin towards the end but it was overall so damn enjoyable still

i don't know what else to say about this that i haven't already said in my faves list but - please watch this. if there's one 'superhero' show or one ott drama or one thriller/action drama to pick from all existing ones... pick this one. this show has 145326 baeksangs in my heart

absolutely fantastic blockbuster/action storytelling with great cast, pacing and VIBES aka the most important aspect in a genre like this. cha dal geon is the embodiment of the unstoppable force and LSG is mirroring this in his efforts to make sure that a season 2 of this WILL be happening. YOU BETTER MAKE IT HAPPEN

this isn't my usual fare and admittedly i am barely a few episodes in and still have to get back to it, but i'll believe baeksang when it says it's a thriller executed to perfection. those awards sure weren't for nothing; maybe i'll finish this one day

a fun peek into seoul's crazy, scandalous influencer culture with a dash of murder mystery. but damn if the ml here wasn't the epitome of "go girl give us nothing"

yes i admit i am a sucker for a good procedural. i can have a little copaganda as a treat okay. but also this was so good not just bc its a really good crime fighting drama but also because you get the teamwork with the fire dept. + the characters have a lot of charm!

my favorite part was when jindo dog said "its jindo dogging time" and jindo dogged all over the place

LISTEN I DID NOT EXPECT THEM TO FRIDGE BULLDOZER LIKE THAT ITS ALMOST FUNNY BC WOW THE WRITER HAD SOME BALLS??? he was not my fave so i wasn't all that affected by it but rip to bulldozer fans i guess.. liked the new sml a lot better tbh! anyways another banger season and my ship is endgame so im happy lol

amazing thriller drama about quarantine situations we're all too familiar with (minus the murder). nice spin on the zombie genre but not for those who expect the usual k-zombie type of excitement, as it's much calmer and more focused on human relationships. saebom and yihyun are ride or die!!

i just love watching the story and all the intricacies of its mystery unfold, the romance is really only the cherry on top. and boy is it good. some people watching this now may say it's cheesy or dated or somewhat lacking, i say this is a masterpiece and a timeless classic! alexa play Eternal Love <3

i'm absolutely 100% serious when i say i haven't had a brainrot this crazy over a kdrama since vincenzo aired - this show was engineered in a lab for me. an absolute nutjob of a fl punishing murderers eye for an eye? a detective who's on her tail but falls for her at the same time? her falling even harder for him and in turn developing the heart of a human - the greatest sin a demon could commit. all this neatly wrapped up in a biting commentary on the justice system? jesus christ. i mean lucifer. i mean stop everything you're doing and watch this NOW!

another good death game show, but as someone who's already had her fill of the genre with squid game, it's not a must watch for me. chishiya is lowkey annoying idk his face pissed me off

okay, i gotta say this was a lot more fun than season 1! gets more crazy and insane than before and the ending sticks the landing and leaves an impression (reborn rich wishes it was this show). i'm a chishiya stan now chishiya for the win

a demon hunter, a priest and a chaebol get into a car... kinda fun actually! not super into the lore, but i love the characters here, who despite the serious story can get so goofy and silly sometimes (looking at johan)

i didn't hate it overall because i grew oddly invested in the cast, but yea it fell off.. i cannot believe they really [redacted] !!! the writer is a coward !! hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have

love how unconventional this was - a melo romance & a whodunit-mystery all the same. the leads will have one hell of a "how i met your dad/mom" story to tell their kids one day. there are definitely some lows but the highs are HIGH and i was invested all the way til the end. if i had a nickel for every drama in which yeo jin goo ends up in a small town full of sus people i'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

i am so sad to include this in here because the pivot this show made midway into its run was really something.. disappointing. starts off so full of wit and levity and then without warning adheres to typical tropes which! is fine on paper!!! but it wasn't what this show was being advertised as in the beginning. like island, the characters ended up carrying the show for me

nothing super memorable to me personally, but i am familiar with the japanese original so i was v curious as to how they'd execute this in a binge format. actually quite good, has some great characters and hits the emotional notes! its a 7.5 but a slightly different 7.5 than my other 7.5s idk if that makes sense

i am halfway through only but oh my god this is fantastic, the premise alone is genius. what if one day you wake up after a suicide attempt with no memories of yourself but a diary which indicates you're a meticulous serial killer? and youre just some guy but now you gotta live up to that? chefs kiss

does this fit in here? business political reincarnation? let's say it does. MAN. idk where to start w this show bc on one hand, joongki slaying as always, but also the elephant in the room aka the conclusion - not a very smart (actually very very stupid) decision to go off-path with the ending and not stick to the novel.. rating it very low sadly because albeit the fantasic performances, it wasn't my vibe and genre and the ending just sealed the deal for me

atmospheric psychological thriller about the horrors of the human mind and in extension, the horrors of existing among others. great negative character development + im siwan at the best of his game! this drama also nails the unsettling, deeply uncomfortable feel akin to stories such as junji ito's

for the non k-drama watcher, a worthwhile thriller with social commentary. i didn't connect with it much, but it wasn't a bad show. in retrospect, the spectacle of it all had people forget what this was really about - capitalism that pits the lower classes against each other. not sure if it really needs that 2nd season

quite captivating and interesting but also not super memorable? its the gritty-netflix-drama syndrome i think.. nevertheless, still worth it for king and queen gong yoo and bae doona and the slight resemblance to among uuh-

another very unconventional show and i was sooo pleasantly surprised by this! it did not knock me from my chair but it was such a solid drama. great characters, mystery, writing etc.. i mean!!! show about man stuck in phone!!! kdrama will really take the most insane premise, make it work, make you cry, and then laugh at you in the face for ever doubting it

soooo funny putting this show here in the list but i am forced to bc the genres DO match it's just absolutely hilarious because this is also the most unserious show ever. it's genuinely hard to put this show in a box and i fucking love that so much for it.

starts off really good but lost me a bit in the later episodes. wasn't a fan of the ml but it was worth watching for the fl and her special ability! also kim jae wook dont forget kim jae wook 

k-media is chock-full of highschool bullying & fighting narratives, but this ended up being so much more - a tragic exploration of the fragility of youth (and the fragility of my mental and emotional state). watch this if you never wanna be okay again ever. in shambles and crying and on the floor etc etc
