Drama

Very compelling and dark.  It grabs you with the brutality of bullying and the step by step unveiling of the retribution to be dealt out.  I couldn’t stop watching to see how all the characters connect.  The bullying scenes were horrible and too real.

 The story is compelling and the acting is wonderful.  You will get drawn into the story with thefirst episode.

It is time travel of a different bend.  The past and the present talk over a walkie talkie solving cases and changing the present.

My 5th time watching this drama and I still find it engrossing.  Finished in 8 days while watching 2 other dramas.

Where, for the lawyers, the lines between good and bad aren’t so much blurred as they are a doted, crooked line and justice masquerades as retribution.

I thought it was more the politics of becoming the crown prince and less about the politics of educating the crown prince.  Either way this is very entertaining.

Sadness.  A never ending river of sadness.  If there is regret it is buried in a thirst for revenge, of balancing a scale that is already overburdened.  How could it not end in sadness when it starts out with good bye?  

A prototype combat AI imprinted with the head researcher’s mother’s brain gets to say goodbye before being shut down.  Aided by her daughter, the AI escapes to a dystopian earth.  Kang Soon Yeon’s last film.

Really needed to pay attention to all the plot weaves.  Well written and well acted.  Of course Jang Hyuk was great as the ML.  Jin Seo Yun as Hwang Hwa Jung and Eun Moon Suk are actors I will be watching for in the future.  Their protrayal of their characters was intense and edgy.

This is an excellent drama and mystery for the Catch Me if You Can list because it is a ‘who done it ‘.  Who is the master mind intent on destabilizing the government, bombing the …..  Where do all the characters fit in the grand scheme and how do the core group of people that survived the disaster helping the acting president get back on track.  And mostly,  how does Park Moo Jin, the acting president, not only survive to become a politician on his terms.  Just a great drama, well written, superbly cast, on spot portrayals.

I have watched the American, original version and liked it as well, maybe because the story stretches across so many episodes and American politics has changed so drastically since the Trump bane, the Korean version was more palatable and watchable. As an FYI- I only watched the first and part of the second season and may try it again because of Keifer Sutherland.

Life during the Qin dynasty for women bound by a culture that marginalized even the very talented.  
Worth watching more than once for the story, the acting, and the recreation of the Qin world viewed through a woman’s eye.

Dark, haunting, enroaching until it consumes you.

Who really is K2?  I thought this was a spy story, then a war story, then cold revenge story, a mystery and a fateful romance and rescuing the damsel in distress.  All this in 16 episodes.  What had me leaking tears at the end was all those awful, mean, conniving characters and finding out, in the end, that the hole in their heart, big as the sky, wasn’t empty at all.

Beautiful choreography, substance in every scene, even the smallest gesture is weighted.  Within the beauty lies the brutal.

The Plot - a bit convoluted because you were getting glimpses of what happened 2 to 3 generations in the past that led to the current situation, the vengeful spirit, a curse that may not be real curse, the mystery of why the FL characters look alike, murder, almost murder, run away bride, stand in fiancée, and the plain bad luck of the first born sons.

Recommendation - definitely for those that like suspenseful romances that tease out the WHAT is happening, when are we talking about, and the big WHY.  The HOW explains itself.

A Yankee in King Arthur’s Court story that becomes a permanent switch.  The story was a familiar favorite and the acting kept it interesting with tense moments, intense interludes, comic relief and romance.

I surprised myself and really liked watching this drama.  The hook may have been Luo Zheng - I am also watching Skip. Beat with him as the ML.  

Twins switching identities, the bad one bullying, black mailing the “good” nice, naive twin.  Add in a contract relationship, a guilt burden CEO, a conniving ex that still has feeling for the ML, and her crazy ass wannabe boyfriend and it gets interesting.  Oh, and nothing to laugh about, not a twinge of comedy.

A princess of Liang disguises as a daughter of the Prime Minister of Northern Wei to prove her father’s innocence becomes the love interest to two princes.   Schemes prolificate, trials overcome, and love rewarded but so short a time.

Joo Wan as I have never seen him before.  Of course, mind wipe., Bald zombies???  and saving the world  and a young boy.  An constant adrenaline rush.

The dark side of family.  At some point in every episode I wanted to stop watching.

Watched dubbed in English and it was more funny than serious.  Serious it is not.

Grim in tones of gray.  The killer was not obvious, in fact, I thought the crime solving less interesting than the development of Janine Chun’s character.
