SBS has recently revealed Lee Je Hoon's stills from the upcoming K-drama "Taxi Driver Season 2".
Released on April 9, 2021, "Taxi Driver" is an action-crime K-drama that tells the story of five people working at a taxi company named Rainbow Taxi. What looks like an ordinary taxi company from the outside, Rainbow Taxi is actually a secret organization that avenges the victims on whom the law closed its doors.
In the drama, Lee Je Hoon plays the character of Kim Do Gi. Do Gi is a former officer in the Special Forces who suffers mental agony when his mother is brutally murdered by a vicious criminal. He then receives an offer from Jang Sung Chul (Kim Eui Sung) - the owner of Rainbow Taxi - to work for the company. In the guise of an ordinary taxi driver, Do Gi works as an avenger of those who suffered dearly at the hands of vicious criminals.
The recent still cuts revealed by SBS show Lee Je Hoon in a new way. Season one portrayed Lee Je Hoon in a tough stoic character who shows no mercy to the wrongdoers. In the still cuts from the second season, he is seen vigorously exercising in prison. His untrimmed hair hints that he has been through rough times. The serious look on his face and the setting of the pictures increase the suspense as to what happened to Kim Do Gi after the events of season one.
SBS also released still cuts of Pyo Ye Jin, who plays Ahn Go Eun- one of the employees of Rainbow taxi who aids Do Gi on his dangerous missions.
She is seen lost in thought in her police uniform in one of the still cuts, and with a tinge of surprise on her face in another.
"Taxi Driver Season 2" is set to release on February 17. Hopefully, the upcoming teasers and trailers will shed light on the context of the drama.
Meanwhile, the first season is available on Viki, Netflix, and Prime Video,
