The highlight teaser for Love Song for Illusion has been released.
Scheduled for release in January, Love Song for Illusion is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of a man with two contrasting personalities and a woman hiding a dark past.
All eyes are on Park Ji Hoon as he plays the dual roles (of Sa Jo Hyun and Ak Hee) for the first time in his acting career. Joining him in the K-drama as the female lead is the rising star Hong Ye Ji.
During the press conference held for the drama, Park Ji Hoon stated, "Honestly, it was my first time trying to play dual roles. To say it wasn't emotionally or mentally challenging would be a lie. Frankly, it was quite tough, but I tried my best not to show the difficulty on set as much as possible. Even though I found it challenging, Ye Ji might have found it equally difficult to keep up with my rhythm, but she followed along well on set, delivering energy, so I didn't have to make any extra effort to match. I'm extremely grateful to Ye Ji."
The teaser showcases the relentless clash between Crown Prince Sa Jo Hyun and his alter ego, Ak Hee. It also gives a glimpse of Yeon Wol, who seeks retribution for her family.
The new teaser for Love Song for Illusion especially highlights the power struggle between brothers Sa Jo Hyun and Sa Jo Yong (Hwang Hee), as well as the scheming of Crown Princess Geum Hwa (Ji Woo) to ascend to the position of empress.
From a catastrophic night of rebellion to the brewing storm within the palace, the tension-soaked narrative of Love Song for Illusion intensifies the intrigue.
Love Song for Illusion is scheduled to air on January 2, 2024. The K-drama will be available to stream on Viki.
