Im Ji Yeon is in talks to join the much awaited Korean version of Netflix's "Money Heist”
Reports circulated on April 27 that Im Ji Yeon will be included in the casting of "Money Heist.” Her agency responded to the news and revealed that their artist is positively reviewing the drama and casting offer.
The Spanish crime drama "Money Heist" will be having its Korean version with the same plot but instead, it will be set in the Korean peninsula. The drama will revolve around the group of people led by Professor who plan the biggest heist in history.
Confirmed casts are Yoo Ji Tae as The Professor, Park Hae Soo as Professor's second-in-command named Berlin, Jeon Jong Seo as Tokyo, Lee Won Jong as Moscow, Kim Ji Hoon as Denver, Jang Yoon Ju as Nairobi, Park Jung Woo as Rio, Kim Ji Hoon as Helsinki, Lee Gyu Ho as Oslo, and more.
"Money Heist" will be directed Kim Hong Seon who's also the same director of "L.U.C.A.: The Beginning", "Metamorphosis", "Voice", and more. The script will be helmed by Ryu Yong Jae who also wrote "Psychopath Diary", "Liar Game", and more.
According to reports Im Ji Yeon got the offer to play a role that is not originally included in the Spanish version of "Money Heist". Her agency didn't comment on the report about this.
Im Ji Yeon last starred in the 2019 MBC drama "Welcome 2 Life" with Rain and Kwak Shi Yang. The actress is also set to appear in the upcoming dramas such as "A Gentleman and a Young Lady" and "Mojito". She will also be part of the upcoming movie titled "Spiritwalker" with Yoon Kye Sang, Park Yong Woo, Yoo Seung Mok, and more.
BH Entertainment and Contents Ziu will produce the upcoming Korean remake. Other broadcasting network and airing dates are not yet confirmed.
