On August 23, the representative of actor Choi Kwang Il officially confirmed that the actor will be one of the casts of the upcoming mystery comedy K-drama Seoul Busters.
Seoul Busters is a crime investigation K-drama that will showcase the journey of the nation's lowest-ranking homicide squad and the elite homicide squad leader working together to become the strongest team.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Kim Dong Wook, Park Ji Hwan, Seo Hyun Woo, Park Se Wan, Lee Seung Woo, and Son Eun Seo.
In the series, Choi Kwang Il will portray the role of the chief of the National Police Agency. He will be the one to announce the reappointment of the elite violent crime squad and the elite homicide squad leader.
Seoul Busters will be the next work of writers Lee Kwang Jae and Lee Young Chul, who also worked for the K-dramas Smashing on Your Back, Potato Star 2013QR3, and more.
The upcoming K-drama will exclusively premiere on Disney+.
Seoul Busters will premiere on September 11 and it will have a total of 12 episodes.
This will be the first official K-drama project of actor Choi Kwang Il for the year.
The actor made a special cameo appearance in the film Hijack 1971 which was led by Ha Jung Woo, Yeo Jin Goo, Sung Dong Il, Chae Soo Bin, Moon You Kang, and Im Se Mi.
Choi Kwang Il is known for being part of the K-dramas Miraculous Brothers, Kokdu: Season of Deity, The Glory, Alchemy of Souls, Lovers of the Red Sky, The Uncanny Counter, and more.
