Agradeço todo dia pelos dramas taiwaneses, eles nunca decepcionam

Plot clichê porém interessante, conceito haters to lovers que todo mundo ama, protagonistas com uma química ABSURDA (além de serem lindos demais, não sei lidar), We Best Love tem tudo pra ser o xodózinho de muitos.

Iniciando pela história: ShuYi tem um rival no colégio que sempre fica em primeiro lugar em tudo, o que o deixa revoltado porque ele sente que Gao ShiDe faz de propósito só pra provocá-lo. Quando ShuYi vai pra faculdade, ele imagina que finalmente conseguiu se livrar de ShiDe, até que o garoto aparece em seu clube de natação. A história gira em torno dos dois meninos e seus conflitos e razões para querer ser o número um.

ZHOU SHU YI: Tsundere que a gente ama. Eu já me apaixonei pelo Yi simplesmente quando me deparei com a beleza estonteante dele (e olha que é bem difícil pra mim levar tanto em consideração a beleza estética e física de alguém), mas aí ele começou a jogar umas exclamações em japonês a esmo durante a série e eu pensei "é isso, homem da minha vida". O personagem é taiwanês e japonês, cabeça esquentada que adora xingar na língua do pai, é super divertido ver ele frustrado em bilingue language gtyujhnbgtyuj. Apesar de jurar de pé junto quer odeia o ShiDe, o ShuYi não fica de cu doce quando o menino tenta se aproximar dele, mesmo que essa aproximação se inicie a partir de um "contrato" bem típico de drama asiático. Os sentimentos dele fluem de forma realista, apesar da personalidade forte;

GAO SHI DE: Eu não canso de ficar repetindo o nome lindo desse menino, nossa. "Gáo Shi Dã" é um soft boy que só quer se aproximar do crush e tem uma paciência desumana pra lidar com os espinhos do ShuYi. Menino super confiante, sorriso lindo e gentil, amoroso, compreensivo, atencioso. Pacote completo de namoradinho taiwanês (tanto que nem o ShuYi resiste rs).

O desenvolvimento da história é super fluído, super bonitinho, SamYu foram feitos um pro outro e é isso rs. A produção é incrível também, a ambientação e os cenários são super bem apresentados.

Como conclusão, é sim uma série xodózinho e eu só parei pra perceber o quanto gosto dela enquanto escrevia esse review rs.

excellent chemistry/tension

Overall: the leads really brought it in this university series. 6 episodes about 25 minutes each. What I Liked
- sweet moments
- funny moments
- intimacy/chemistry
- that bridge scene was amazing
- supportive friends, the sassy cousin and the mom
- a non cliche female character
- attention to props (rainbow books in the library, the skeleton that changes positions)
- character styling
- music (the actor YU who played Zhou Shu Yi sang the OST "Blue Lover"; the bartender in episode 6 was Alex Chou who was a lead in My Tooth Your Love and also sang "Hard To Let Go" in We Best Love)

Room For Improvement
- starting with a flash forward/montage for the episodes
- cliche leg cramp scenario
- multiple stupid "plans"
- needed more screen time with the 2nd m/m couple

Even if it's the usual school youth romance, the execution is good and it made the series relatable

This series definitely did not disappoint me.. After watching all of the History franchise, I'm glad that this series did not disappoint me. With its relatable characters, one can appreciate the blooming romance of Gao Shi De and Zhou Shu Yi.

Apart from the relatable characters and good pacing of the story, the series also has a good production as well as soundtracks that have meaningful lyrics. We also have a solid cast - the main actors were able to portray the expressions of their characters well and their sweet moments in the series are also wholesome.

Furthermore, we get to see the progress and development of the relationship of the couple. It's not the typical fast paced in which they immediately fall in love at the 1st episode or scene which gives this series a plus point for me. While it only had a short running time per episode (20-30 mins at best), at least there were plot and character development. Kudos to the production team, actors as well as everyone who were involved into making this series.

In conclusion, this series definitely is a highly recommend watch for me and it deserves more recognition. With its relatable plot and characters, one can be entertained in watching this series. Eventhough, the series ends with a cliff hanger, there's a sequel for this and it's also complete so it will definitely not leave the viewer / audience hanging. Enjoy watching.. :)

Life Changing Drama

I highly recommend this drama! I have rewatched the first season four times now and the third time was with a friend. I literally convinced my friend to watch this with me because it was THAT good. Honestly I titled this review as life changing because I was never one to watch BL dramas since it usually has awkward acting. However, this drama actually made me realize there can be good BL dramas out there and this is one of them!

Reasons to love and watch this:
1) The nostalgia of pinning and chasing after your first love is expressed in this drama so perfectly. As Sam (Gao Shi De's actor) said in an interview, "Viewers had commented they like the drama because of the feelings it reminds them of pursuing someone romantically".
2) It is SUPER wholesome and sweet. The actors have a lovely bond and connection with one another and they even said in a magazine interview they would flirt off-screen to get used to their characters! Now that's true dedication and passion.
3) If you love enemies to lovers troupes, then this will definitely be your cup of tea.

Please give this series a try and I hope you will love it as much as I did!

How good should a series be? WBL: Yes.

I don't know why this series is sooo good. I love everything about it. The story is a typical enemies to lovers story but it was still goood. I loved how much Shuyi changed after knowing he is in love with Shide. I loved seeing both so in love. I was so sad that it has just a few episode but i enjoyed every episode, every minute, every second. It was short but i never had the feeling that they did everything fast. It was just so good.

And can we talk about Yu? Like seriously i am so in love with him like byE. I love his personality so so so much and HIS VOICE!!

I absolutely LOVE SamYu's chemistry and i really really can't wait for season 3 and i hope they didn't forget it because i heard they still work on it. I hope it is gonna work i really wanna see moree.

imma sue every single person who's gonna tell me that this is not one of the BEST bl drama that ever existed!
first of all - THE BOND between SamYU. oh. my. lord. their chemistry is insane, you just look at them and you're in love.
plot wasn't exactly 100% good, there were some cheesy, some rushed moments, but their love and connection was so wonderful, i kinda didn't care much about it.
i already rewatched it twice and im planning to watch it at least once in a month. this is how much i loved it.
but i have to say one thing tho, that i don't like and i'll never be okay with this. episodes are too damn short and seasons have just 6 episodes. yall expect me to be okay with this? NO.

Lighthearted and funny

Not much else to say. I'd already watched this one, but idk why I didn't post a review back then - so here it is.

I love the acting in this. It looks so natural. The chemistry is great (always important) and I was smiling ear to ear whenever the main characters interacted (even the two friends, they were so cutee). They all look like they're having a blast when they're together.
It's also quite funny - I found myself actually laughing at some scenes (which doesn't really happen), which earned this series brownie points. Gao Shi De's mom was hilarious, I love herr, how she was teasing Zhou Shu Yi for being overly formal with her.

The story is basic, though. If you really think about it, there's not much going on outside their romance. The doctor-cousin was a weird character in general, he made me uncomfortable with how touchy-feely he was with his PATIENTS (who, mind you, are significantly younger than him). He was also quite aggressive for a doctor, like he was very careless when handling injured students.
Also, I think Shu Yi went from 'I cannot fall for a man' to screaming 'I like Gao Shi De' at the top of his lungs in the span of... what? A week? Idk, it felt a little bit too fast for me. We didn't even see him feel conflicted or anything.
And finally, we should address the MC's tendency to try to drown himself - can someone ban him from going anywhere near a swimming pool?? Istg in one single episode he jumped into the pool TWICE, fully clothed, and Gao Shi De had to pull him out.

I know it looks like I didn't enjoy this much lol - but I did. It's mostly vibes, no thoughts, head empty. Just go with the flow when watching this.

Another great bl drama from Taiwan

Wow the cast is just amazing the chemistry and fun they had. Now. WOW what a unbelievable drama about finding true love and then it's gone over many misunderstanding then???? Starting at the age of 10 Gao shi de meets Zhao shy yi while he was crying on the steps over his dad abandoned when a boy gives him a tissue and tells him it will be alright he has his mom when someone calls him he runs yelling his name. They meet again and shy yi doesn't remember him so he works hard to be #1 and shy yi always in. 2nd place. So now attending college shy yi figures he won't see Gao shi de and be 1st again. Until the day shi de makes shy yi his page boy(thru a video blackmail) and does everything to make him forgot his angry and become shi de friend, but shi de limes him and whispered in his ear thinking he was asleep. After that shi de started to hide from shy yi due to his heart is in alot of pain, but shy yi is mad since he can't find him over a week until he finally finds him.. these 6 episode tells the story of how commitment and persistent can payoff in the name of love.
Ep6. 5.gave some background info leading up to the 5 year misunderstanding.

Un BL precioso

Vengo a hacer el review después de mi tercera vez reviendo este bellísimo drama y es que de verdad, no me canso de volver a élla! Y es que esta miniserie taiwanesa de 6 episodios de 30 minutos es de mis BL preferidos des de que se estrenó. Es una historia muy bien contada para los pocos minutos que tiene con una de las parejas BL con la química más espectacular del panorama de series Boys Love! No os la podéis perder!!!!! La música es preciosísima y la escenografía también! Cuando acabéis esta primera temporada seguro que váis directos a la segunda donde veremos como se desarrolla esta preciosa historia de amor y devoción inquebrantables.
