Extremely Basic ....
Once again I was let down but the title of the drama, Craving you was not what I had in mind for this kind of BL!!!I understand it’s challenging to produce a drama with well fleshed out plot and real character growth when you’re making a 10 minutes episode drama, But not now. Not when there are other dramas out there that has shown that they can produce good content with fluff or a little angst and with great chemistry can this be acceptable. This drama for me just didn't have any flow to it, we never got to see a build of the characters, then a second couple got thrown in and we never got to understand what happened between them, the airport scene was a really cliche, the wedding was so done, then move to a couch where they make out (this last episode of them making out was probably the only good thing about this entire drama)
The acting was extremely basic, to the point one could say low budget, the music was okay not going to make my playlist.
This series felt like a fever dream. With me not knowing wtf was going on half the time lol. They shoved so much into this that I kept getting whiplash from character/plot changes.

Not good but short
It wasn't the worst drama I've seen but it wasn't the best either. Especially when Taiwan has made much better BL dramas than this one.The story was rushed. We have a pretty good start with the main couple at the beginning but then, it shifts towards the other couple who has more subtance to the story, to be fair. Also, there is no development at all between the two main leads. One seems to fall in love at first sight but that's it and when he confessed, it cut short. No feelings at all. I don't know if it's a problem coming from the acting or the script (probably both...).
The acting was good but not great. Totally forgettable. So is the music.
So, is it really worth watching? I'd say, yes, because it's short but this is the only good thing about this drama.

Light and Entertaining
I found this to be an entertaining little story. The love story is not going to make anyone cry, but it is a good way to fill a pandemic evening or two.Plot: The basic plot of following the love interest of a pastry chef is pretty cool. Some of the scenes of pastry-tastings were well done, and reminded me of "Babette's Feast." Yi-fan starts off to be a stern task master, and the "i don't really care" Kai-en is a nice contrast. Sadly, the relationship development between Kai-en and Yi-fan is weak. You never get the feeling of real love blossoming (or why?). It just happens.
Aside from the tasting scene, the most memorable scene for me was the one where Yi-fan gets trapped during a power outage. David Chiu played that scene very well, and it had a considerable impact on me.
Actors: I thought the leads were pretty good. Chiu is strong. Cheng Chang Fan is adorable in a diffident sort of way as Kai-en. This is Cheng's first movie role, and I hope he goes on to develop his art further. (I'm gonna look for his florist shop the next time I visit Taipei, in hopes of seeing him for real.) The supporting actors were just okay, in my opinion.
Production: Not lavish, but pretty good. Nice sets in the pastry shop. Modern and bright. I did think the wedding scene , while visually nice, was a bit cloying and over the top. (Yes, I know it is highly significant that Taiwan is the only place in Asia to allow marriage equality, but watching that scene was like eating a piece of too-sweet pastry.)

The Main Actor (Cheng Chang Fang), who deserves a better series
Actually this series has all what it should be. A great Main Actor, a good and modern storyline about a same sex marriage and an old love.Unfortunately there is no chemistry between the Main Couple, Kane and Sung at all. There Love is implausible and lame, also the actor of Sung doesn’t get me at all.
So i crossed my fingers for Soda and Kane instead and was a little bit disapointed as their ways divide.
Only in the end of this series, there is something like passion in the air, when it comes to the final Kiss.
I hope that the Actor Cheng Chang Fang get’s another Mainrole in BL-Series, because his talent deserves it definitely

Food and BL
I give it a D+ for being different...deserts and singers and BL. Really more like a B+ There is a lot to like about this series. That is why I say my biggest negative is the 10 minute episodes. I think I would have gotten very frustrated if I had to wait a week for another 10 minutes especially when 2 minutes is the beginning intro and ending credits. So I often say that it may be that if they added more it may have resulted in an inferiors series. Who knows with this theme being so different they may have been able to expand to 20 to 25 minute episodes and added to the depth of the stories. I liked all of the characters and thought the did very well to their characters. Different and good story... good cinematography etc. Likeable cast. That sums it up.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

I’m definitely not craving this
To be honest I don’t really remember what happened in this show because it was somewhat forgettable all I remember is that Kane is supposed to be this huge popstar and then I guess it was he was assigned to work at the bakery that Yi Fan works at, but overtime they went from a not really enemies, but also enemies at the same time to lovers. But please can someone tell me that Yi Fan kinda looks like Na Kamden from Boys Planet/Ampers&One? Causes that’s all I really remember from this series. I’m not gonna lie, but this show I have mixed feelings for it was sometimes good, but sometimes bad. I felt that Soda and Noah’s couple was more of a main than Kane and Yi Fan’s. They had a more interesting story and more screen time of their couple way more also. I have to say that I wasn’t a fan of Kane having to reveal about if his relationship with Yi Fan is true or not true at Soda and Noah’s wedding because it’s not about them, but it’s about the two people getting married. Overall this series was short, but made me have mixed feelings the whole time.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Storyline
Well only just watched this BL drama and I was quite embarrassed watching it. The two ML did not gel and to see a grown man on the floor acting like a child mumbling and whatnot and the other ML getting his guitar out to sing to him to calm him down I'm afraid he couldn't sing. He was well out of tune and that didn't help the drama. I did watch it through to the end butwasn't impressed. People in Taiwan maybe love
Actors to look vulnerable and childish but where I come from the west I have never witnessed it in any drama
I have watched. I will add that Taiwan.. Korea.. China..
Philippines since 2020 when this came out have greatly improved their BL dramas and are more professionally
done. The actors are more professional. They have many talents singing and some have dance in their repertoire
and extremely smart and good looking.

Very cute but a little fast paced☹️
Story :Overall the concept is good, but i think think they could've executed it better w more eps or js more time in each ep. It feels very rushed and you cant rlly see how the main characters feelings develop throughout the show. Although, i did like the other couple 🤭 their story was so cute and i think u could actually tell that they had feelings 4 each other. The ending was decent, could've been better. Again, it wasnt the best bc of the lenght.
Acting :
I rlly liked the actors performances ‼️ both couples chemistry were very good. You could def tell that the acting was sincere during certain scenes. They def got me giggling and kicking my feet in some scenes🤭🤭 also js want to make a note that the reason that the main couple wasnt thebest isnt bc of the acting but, again, bc of how fast paced the show was.
Music :
Rlly liked both songs sung by kent in the show ‼️ i also think the music matched the vibe of the story rlly well and it def made thewatching experience better.
Rewatch value :
I js put a 5.5 bc it's very short andnot a very memorable series. I dont think i would re-watch it anytime soon but i dont tend to rewatch shows that much anyway.
Overall :
I think its worth watching but dont set ur expectations too high.

Average
Is it outstanding? Not really. Is it bad? No.
It's decent.
STORY: 8/10. The series is pretty much average. Deals with issues about love, coming out to the public, parent's approval, and fear of marriage. It's something that commonly occurs with same-sex relationships. This is where the whole gist of the series is focused on. It's lacking in the development of the main lead characters which would be Yi Fan and Kane which was evident after a few episodes it focused on Soda and Noah's story. Although it brought additional flare to the series still I was hoping to see more of Yi Fan and Kane.
ACTING/CAST: 10/10 I know there are people who will not agree with me and I respect that. Initially, I couldn't see any chemistry between Yi Fan and Kane. However, later on, I could see that there was. I guess it was because they were finally comfortable with each other. If that had been set earlier it would have been awesome. The same goes for Soda and Noah.
MUSIC: 10/10 because I fell in love with the music.
REWATCH: I'd say 50/50. If you like these kind of series then, yeah, it's rewatchable but if you want more watching it once is enough.
OVERALL: I rated it 8.50 because I think there were things that could have been done to improve the storyline.
