They both deal with main characters who are past college age experiencing their first relationship. Both of the relationships are treated slowly and with care.
If you had an issue with the YongjiexXingsi storyline due to the consent issue you can try watching Lovely Writer. It swings the other way: the leads are very concious of the importance of consent and it is highlighted many times. If you had no problem with YongjiexXingsi you might still like Lovely Writer, because of the age gap and the playfulness/maturity interaction of GenexNubsib, which reminded me YongjiexXingsi but does not offer any of the ravishing seduction from History.
What I love is that both series dig deep into the behind scenes of the BL industry. War of Y looks at multiple views, from managers fighting for more fame and fortune for their clients to real relationships actors have that could potentially ruin the ships they have with their onscreen partners. Lovely Writer takes the premise of BL writer and one half of a shipped couple who fall in love, not by coincidence but because they know each other from the time they were young.
Both dramas portrayed good relationship and the acceptance of family about their chosen love. Plus, the similarity between the love of Sib and Shi De to Gene and Shu Yi respectively and the back story of their childhood as one of the reasons give similar vibes. If you'll watch both dramas, you would feel envious of the love they have. Wish you luck!
Both series resemble in some aspects: First at all, their humour is based the most time in exaggerated actions and hilarious elements.
Also, Pan and Soda, The Shipper's two fujoshi girls, enjoy writing yaoi fanfics about their male classmates. In the case of Lovely Writer, the main protagonist has to write a new BL novel through clenched teeth.
Both series use those plot proposals to criticize and parodize shippers/BL fans or, in the case of Lovely Writer, the BL industry in overall.

The series have a completely different setting, lenghth and budget and come from different countries but both of them have a good overall quality, attractive actors and an interesting plot.
SPOILERS AHEAD (especially regarding Lovely Writer)
In both series, the main characters knew each other in childhood (when the younger boy already developed a crush on the older one) and when they are adult, the younger one appears in the life of the older one again, with the intention of making him fall for him and having a relationship with him. Paradoxically, the younger one became bigger and more confident/dominant in the adulthood, so the roles kinda reverse and the older one can no longer look down on him.

Both dramas are about struggling BL (screen)writer and partly about the production of a BL live action. The events and love story of the actual drama are the inspiration for the writers new script.
Both dramas hold a critical lens onto the BL industry and are vocal about LGBTq rights / issues.
Whereas "Lovely Writer" is more of a satiric romcom but also with the sad parts about the industry, "The Miracle of Teddy Bear" is actually a murder mystery with romances, tragedy and fantasy elements (tho it still has comedic moments as well)
