Both of these drama have a darker feel. They are based on popular seinen mangas. Each features lead characters that take justice into their own hands by dealing in the crime underworld.

Ayase Haruka stars in both of these dramas. She plays a woman in her late 20s - 30s discovering love for the first time. While Hotaru no Hikari is more of a rom-com, Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu has more of a realistic tone.

Both of these dramas center around college life and friendship. While Honey & Clover has a more slice of life feel, the friendship theme is still very strong. Both of these drama star Narimiya Hiroki as a supporting role. I like the realistic and subdued tone of both of these dramas.

Both of these dramas star young Johnny's idols. The dramas' leads are Arashi Members: Ninomiya Kazunari for Stand Up!! and Matsumoto Jun for Gokusen. Also, Oguri Shun and Narimiya Hiroki are in both supporting casts. They both center around high school life and troubled youth. It's really fun to see these actors' early works.

Family dramas that revolves around the young people of the family. Parents are placed in a position where they have to take responsibility for the choices they made in place of their children.

Both female leads have extraordinary sense of smell and have a talent in making best and unique scent/perfume. Both fell in love with a rich male lead and have to overcome many obstacles to be together in the end. LJC sets in the modern era whereas LOF is in the ancient era.

Both have a main female protagonist that gets into a car accident only to recover and wake up with heightened senses. Using their new supernatural power, they help a main male protagonist, a police officer, solve cases. Both dramas seem to have a "bad guy" chasing after the main female protagonist. They are different kinds of dramas (different languages) but have the same feeling. They are sure to leave you sitting on the edge of your seat.

Although D-Day focuses on a specific event, they are similar because each of their cases are connected "mysteriously".
-Medical and Conspiracy themes
-Both struggle to overcome an ultimate struggle
-Struggle with family
-Main female leads are really annoying at first (overly-righteous)
-Both use the analogy that patients are "ticking bombs"

Both dramas are written by the same screen writter. The patriarch that owns the tailor shop in both dramas is played by the same actor. Pure 19 is a daily drama whose main character is a young girl who arrives from China as a bride only to learn that her groom to be has died just before she got there. So it starts with a grieving family, a widowed bride with no place to go, and some surprising interactions within and between families. Even though the main stories are different, there are several similarities in the various relationships which make it worth watching.

Both are more focus on the culture and tourism in the certain city. It's about heroines' love to their city and wants to develope them.
So you can expect some good scenery shots in each drama/film.

The romance is just an extra, but Koi no Sanriku has it more romance than Gattan Gattan Soredemo Go. It also has more comedic scenes.
