Worth the Watch 100% and Words can't even describe how good it thought this was!

*My overall closing is at the bottom so you can scroll there lol*
At first Snowdrop was on my watch list because I had seen Jung Hae-in in the casting. I love that guy, but I was totally unprepared for how the series would unfold. I thought it would be a cute romance story about a northern spy falling in love with a South Korean girl. Little did I know I was in for a suspenseful, plot twisting, anger boiling, yet excellent show! There isn't too much romance but the emphasis on the things love will make you do, were there 100%.

In the first episode my attention was caught and what kept me from feeling bored was knowing that each character had a shady background. Because I wanted to know what people were hiding, I stayed, and it was worth the wait. I caught myself gasping, crying, feeling angry, irritated, and just in shock the whole time. The whole political scheme honestly made sense and wasn't just unnecessarily all over the place. Good on the director with the tactful connections of how everyone was connected in some way to the government or bad political organizations. Everything unfolded so naturally and contributed to the suspense and plot twists.

Now I usually don't watch many action dramas, because I'm a romance type of girl, but even with the few small scenes of affection between the main leads, I was content, because trying to figure out everything played a huge role in maintaining my attention. I was angry because a lot of characters in the show were making mistakes, which honestly made the show better. I was able to feel a mixture of so many emotions, which was a beautiful thing.

I personally wouldn't rewatch this because the episodes were so long and it wouldn't have that same suspense feature as when I first watched it, because I already know who's on who's side and what people were hiding. But those bonus clips were awesome too! They left the show on edge and hooked you so that you watched the next episode after the next.

Didn't like too much:
I loved the female lead Jisoo, but I felt like her emotional scenes weren't that convincing or captivating. Some scenes needed more emotion to move me to tears, but when other cast had emotional scenes, I was crying right along with them. That was pretty much my main complaint. And also, the hostage crisis was dragged on a bit, and I was wishing that there were more diverse scenes than just the dorm, political offices, etc. In the end the hostage crisis was played out well.

Closing:
This drama was overall great, worth the watch, and will make you sob at the end. I mean I needed so many tissues lol. A lot of characters were irritable and kept me angry most of the show which honestly kept my attention. Everyone was getting on my nerves, but I do appreciate that the show wasn't just mercilessly killing people off of the show like western shows. There were lessons, forgiveness, selfishness, betrayal, shocking plot twists, but that all created such a depth to the show. Every cast member played the devil out of those roles, even the bad people, and it all pulled the show together. And it was one of the best actions/romance dramas I've ever watched. Bravo to every team member who planned, wrote out, and executed this drama. Even my dad was watching with curiosity. 10 out of 10 recommend.
