This has got to be one of the greatest first episodes I have watched in a long time. If this keeps going is going to be on my top five list this year. Plus the eye candy, you got beautiful cinematography and effects. If you are into fantasy saeguk drama, you'll be happy.
This is an episode when an hour felt like 5 minutes. Is well edited and begins to unfold all the layer of this onion story. Every character keeps getting entangled a little more and you just stay very still so you don't forget any details. I really enjoyed it. I hope the producer and the writer are able to maintain such good pace, because if it is for just the acting it will become "the drama" for this season. I hope it does well on ratings.
In my opinion this episode begins to capture a little bit of the fun in the relationship between Yuko and Kimihiro. I can't get over of how short the episodes are. They always leave me wanting a little more story, a litte more development. Being a supernatural series, it needs a little more build up. What it doesn't lack is that it always leaves you wanting more.
I like everything in this episode, it was like a little appetizer - since they are all so short- it didn't have one boring moment. I'm lovin Domeki and also Yuko in this one, her relationship with Watanuki is so much cuter now. Lots of action and a hanging interrogant with Watanuki next job.
At some point wanted to kill the girl a little for being so mean to my favorite Gumiho ever... Still there is a little gap in the story that I hope it reveals itself later on. Is a fast paced episode that I guess you have to pay a lot of attention if you want to follow the story well. This couple's fate is not supposed to be, but still it made me a little sad. Can't wait for next week...
