A MUST WATCH.

I got hooked since episode 1 and I cannot stop watching. It exceeded my expectations tbh. It has definitely been added to my all time favorite series. This is the kind of drama that no matter how many times you have watched it, you will still be entertained. The story telling, cinematography and casts, everything is just amazing. I love the chemistry between the leads. Acting wise? Dang! It was superb! Even the child actors are really great and deserves an award. It was not awkward at all, it was soooo natural.

Rewatch value? If I can give a rating higher than 10, I will gladly do so. After I finished writing this review, I will go back again to watch the drama.

Story wise - we all know that this is an adaptation from a manga however it amazes me how they incorporate the chinese culture within the series.


Over all, this made my 2020 complete. Yes, it may feel like you are watching a BL drama however for me, it shows us that the chemistry between all the characters are top-notch. It felt like you are watching your neighbor doing something, it felt like you are in their world bcos their acting was phenomenal. It also gave us life lessons about our dreams in life - no matter how hard it is,there will always be someone who will support us. And as long as you have faith and determination, you can do it!!!

AS A FAN OF THE MANGA, I AM SATISFIED

The long wait is over! As a fan of the manga, I have been waiting for this since the announcement and I am really happy that the adaptation met my expectations. I am really satisfied.

Let's start with the opening - the opening was really good. It reflects what the series is all about. I have watched a lot of dramas and movies of Yamaken and dang, his performance in Alice in Borderland is phenomenal. I cannot believe he's the same person I have watched in Wotakoi which is a rom-com genre. I also didn't recognize Dori Sakurada, he's so different in this series. The main leads and supporting ctors are really amazing, I am surprised.

There are some scenes that I find awkward especially the Witch Hunt which is why I gave it a 9 as over all and for rewatch value, also a 9 - I dont like watching Seven of Hearts :( :(

If you enjoy As the Gods Will Movie, Escape Room, or any thriller, survival, gore genre. You will surely be hooked and love this series.

I am hoping for a sequel! The most exciting games are on the face cards and we'll meet the Kings and Queens.

Age gap who?

This is one of those dramas that can make my heart flutter. I was actually not expecting anything at all when I first read the synopsis and I was in doubt when I saw the ML but dang, I am indeed a sucker for age gap and manly leads!! Lin Yu did so well. Let's be real here, he's not the typical flower boy look that we usually watch in a drama but instead, he got that charisma and oozing sex appeal. He's the kind of lead and character that will make you feel secured. He will fight for you and will communicate if there's something wrong ( mature guys ftw) . His intense chemistry with Lusi is no joke. Makes me forget that their age gap is 18 years!

One thing that I didn't like about the drama was the last episodes, it kinda went too serious and some of the new characters are annoying. And I somewhat don't understand the FL's personality as the day goes by. She was that strong woman and she suddenly turned into someone who's not aware of her surroundings and too dense (though understandable because shes young) thanks to her Uncle - my favorite character who always guides her and let her realize her own mistakes. However, all in all, it's still a drama that's definitely worth a watch! ✨

A MUST WATCH DRAMA - SO FAR THE BEST CDRAMA I HAVE WATCHED

Go Ahead is so far the best cdrama I have watched. I cannot count how many times this drama made me cry and laugh at the same time. The moments especially with their parents are making me emotional. It shows us how parents have different ways to take care of their kids. Tbh, this drama made me realize a lot of things esp with Ming Yue's mom which we can all agree that it's the most realistic one. JJ's dad made me cry a lot of times and reminded me of my dad so much. Kudos to the team and casts!! The chemistry between the leads are superb, even the child actors are amazing, they did so well. I hope to see more dramas like this that touches everyone's heart 💞

I am really not that type of person who'll write a review. I have been using mdl for years and this is my first time to write one.

First of all, the story is so good. The writer and PD never fails to amaze me. The cast is so perfect - they portray their roles very well to the point that you'll think that's really their personalities irl. Especially YYS, I am just in love with him now - I have been watching his dramas even before HP but danggg, this is the first time that I appreciate his visuals and his smile. He got me.

Second,

The FEELS. I cannot describe how I am obsessed with this drama. I cannot seem to get over it. The OST is amazing and do I really have to mention the rewatch value? I mean I have lost count in how many times I have watched it especially the last episode. The emotions are there. I CAN FEEL IT. I CRIED WITH THEM. My Winter Garden heart is happy and satisfied. Can't wait for season 2!
