I am a serious otaku masquerading as a librarian by day. Legit! I'm a teen librarian in a public library and, for the most part, I really enjoy it! I love sharing my passion for manga and anime wherever I go because the more I talk to parents about it, the more likely they'll stop pestering their kids to find something else to read/watch and let them find their own way. Truly idealistic, but it's worth a shot.
Live-action was something I avoided for the longest time b/c I really wanted to stick with 2-D and prevent an additional hobby from blooming... Boys Over Flowers changed that and I'm now one of those ppl who will watch every remake of manga adaptations for both experience and comparison. I also watch original K and J-Drama series with Taiwanese exceptions (for manga of course lol). I only review what I must, but I'll try to rate what I can. Also: with the amount of hobbies I have in addition to being an otaku and living life outside of my bubble, I go through what I call "binge" periods: focusing on one hobby for an extended time before randomly switching to another. I read a lot of YA and other fiction as well. After watching so many over time, the need to keep formal track of everything is real. So, I have 4 systems: Goodreads for my books, IMDB for movies, AnimeNewsNetwork.com for my anime, and MyDramaList :)
