Secret Passion
It’s a simple film but very classy and sensual. It’s only 13 minutes so it gets to the point quite quickly. Recommend for someone wants to unwind with some historical gays.I’m not sure why this is rated 18+ though, they showed a nipple and nothing more. The language was also not explicit. If the perfume ads I see are more sensual than this shouldn’t they be “18+” too? Baloney. This was MILD compared to recent BL. I’d rate this 16+ in my gracious opinion.
For anyone confused on the ending, “A Crimson Mark” is the hickey that the chancellor leaves with the scholar during their affair. The chancellor, obviously embarrassed by it, becomes attracted to the idea seeing it a second time. The mark is the representation of how taboo their passionate relationship is.

One of the Best
This is an intricate, touching and emotional drama. Almost every character in this drama is morally grey. ‘The Untamed’ is not a simple, casual watch. You have to pay attention to what’s happening to fully understand this drama. Once you’ve watched this show in its entirety a few times, that’s when you can randomly turn on an episode and listen to the amazing soundtrack in the background. This drama was not supposed to do as well as it did, so the budget is a bit low, I chuckle a bit at some of the CGI but honestly, the storyline and the characters make me forget about all that. I watched this drama, all 50 episodes, in about 2 days (along with the regular life stuff). I felt very empty after, so I watched thespecial edition, then I watched the original with my mom, who loved it as much as I did. When you get into MDZS/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation/The Untamed (all the same thing) you can’t turn back.

“I’m just a Mobu!”
We follow Mobu (meaning extra, referring to extras in a TV show) and his place in the world of BL. Everywhere he goes he is faced with boys love couples. Despite his indifference and drive to conquer BL, he knows everything to know about it. From reading tons of BL manga, spotting tropes, and even admiring handsome boys within imaginary flowers, he’s oblivious to how he’s become a walking irony. He thinks this is all to learn to protect himself from homosexuality but fails to recognize that he might actually be gay. His mentality is like “I’m not like other girls” but he ends up being “the other girls”. (Probably some internalized homophobia or maybe he’s just annoyed at happy couples LOL)I really like the lead, he’s adorable and quirky. This drama is silly and pokes at how ridiculous BL can be, like watching BL relationships form within the first second of meeting. The main theme is super catchy and it reminds me of myself trying to deny my own sexuality “I’m just a Mobu!”. It’s just a super cute drama and I recommend to anyone who likes BL. Rooting for a season 2!!

Lacking
This series was boring, I’ll say it right now. After the first couple episodes, my interest just dropped. I had ceased watching it for a bit because it didn’t catch my attention. The characters are cute but they can’t make up for the bad plot. I had to speed up the episodes because the show dragged on. There are funny bits but they get replaced by the lack of true substance. The music was all over the place ; when a character was crying in one scene, the main theme started playing out of nowhere... like, what a great way to ruin a emotional scene! The sound effects also felt cartoonish and OTT.
Speaking of OTT, can we talk about these characters? Almost all of the characters are over the top. This is supposed to be a realistic take and a glimpse into the BL industry, but it’s so unrealistic.
I sadly don’t recommend this show... I hope to see these actors in better projects.
