In reallity, I enjoyed more the 2nd season (maybe because my age is nearer to the age of Teh and Oh-aew in the 2nd season), even if I think is a lot more heavy in angst.

I won't write a really serious review for this. I had great expectations from this buuuuuut... The story has nothing unique. In historical series especially. Long lost princesses, love triangle with one good and one anti-hero male leads, beautiful tragic female lead etc etc... We have seen it before. A lot. And this drama doesn't give it nothing new and fresh (fortunately, wolf boy is not a long lost prince too, i would bag my head). I am conscious of chinese dramas, for two reasons; many, unnescessary episodes and obvious dialogues that gives nothing the plot development. But like all the chinese dramas, it has nice scenery (the costums was obviously modernized in an annoying level). And I loved Xiao Zhan. He is really talented. However, this role was cute but a lot similar to Wei Wuxian. I think is a problem of the script, sometimes writers write roles with specific characteristics because they have a really specific idea how an actor/actress is and what role made them famous. He's character is important but not so much, in my opinion, to be listed as a main character. I believe they did it because of his fame. I realized this is just his 2nd drama after the Untamed... Like Wang Yi Bo (whoever watched My Strange Friend will understand me) deserves a really better role.
In the end, it was interesting and easy to watch. I love historical dramas a lot, but I don't think this is an interesting example of the genre. I finished it just because I wanted to see the end (a bit dissapointing and predictable).

But, the main reason I wanted to write this review, is the talent of Lee Joon Gi. I am a big fan but always, in every role he played I felt it was similar to the previous one, especially in historical dramas. But he always had the talent to become the role, the charecter and you cannot think anyone else in his place. A great talent that a few actors/actresses have. And in Flower of Evil, he just blew me away. He portrays every side of Do Hyun Su/Baek Hee Song so perfect, realistic and to the point. He shows a lot of different sides and different acting, not even from his previous roles but from every different "personality") he has in the show. I really admire him for that and I am waiting a lot more.

I really really enjoy watching series and movies but there is always this prejudice about the East Asian dramas. I came across the series after I read the novel (which I loved sooo much) in which is based. And it was TOTALLY WORTH IT. It was an amazing experience and I will explain why.STORY
I have read the book so I knew the basic story. But it made no deference nor I was bored. It doesn't matter if you know the story or not because the writers and the director made it a whole new experience. These series explore themes like what is wrong and right, if everything is what it seems etc. No one is black nor white, good nor evil but everyone has both sides like in real life. I really loved the explanation of the story when everything was reveled but they didn't show well the main villains reasons. As for the bl theme, I think because China's restrictions they couldn't show it but it wasn't needed something big. There plenty of really nice scences with looks and dialogue that shows the deep relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.
ACTING/CAST
Let's be honest. I cannot imagine anyone better than Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan for the main roles. I think they are almost perfect. Great chemistry, great acting, you feel like they are the characters. I never heard or watched them before, but after the untamed I loved both of them. As for the second roles, almost everyone was really good. Maybe Jiang Cheng's actor and Jiang Yanli's actress sometimes made it a bit awkward (for the second I think it was more the character than the actress' skills.)
MUSIC/SCENERY/SPECIAL EFFECTS
But what I really loved in these series is the music, the scenery and the costumes. They are the real value of the drama. Every scene, every palace, every room it was perfect to the last detail (I loved especially Lotus Pier). The costumes has the difference in details for every sect and character. OK maybe the special effects wasn't really good, but for this needs a lot of time and effort for so many episodes. And of course, the music. I was amazed when I discovered that all the songs with lyrics was sang by the cast. I had wuji on repeat for days.
OVERALL VALUE
These series made me appreciate series with a lot of episodes. I didn't skip even 1 second, not even the titles. I fell in love with this universe and story all over again and became one of my favorite series of all time. If you like Asian historical things and fantasy is the perfect series for you. But I highly recommend them to everyone.

One of the few great 2nd seasons.
It is really rare to see a 2nd season that is as good as the 1st. I don't really think this is a sequel. It is just the 2nd part of the same drama. It was a great experience. I really love fantasy and historical dramas. But it had two problems I think. First, the overall really complecated story of Naksu/Bu Yeon. I couldn't understand it and I don't believe it helped the plot. Second, this season was really fast paced. Especially the end was super hurried. As slow was the 1st, so fast was the 2nd. I believe a lot of things needed more time. It was rushed in the end. If both seasons had 15 episodes, it would be better. The 1st needed less episodes and the 2nd more.
All in all, it is a great drama and we rarely see this type of k-dramas. In the bonus, amazing special efects. Also, Lee Jae Wook was great and had great chemistry with everyone.

I cannot understand why people like this drama
Two things for the start. First, I haven't watched any of the previews installements and I didn't read the book. So, I don't compare any version. Second, I dropped the drama. I watched about the half.I cannot understand why someone likes this drama or how they can finish it. And it was really hyped, even in Netflix. I understand the cliches of the concept and the story (the school theme, rich male/poor female, bad mother-in-law etc) but it has the worst and the most tiring plot and use ever. There are a lot of similar dramas with the same themes, Heirs is the best, that use them in an interesting way. Bad female lead but I think it is the role bad written not the actress and she had chemistry with no one. Every episode with a new incident with no logic, only for the dramatics and more episodes.
Second, the whole bully turned lover is a problematic trope. It is a really dangerous standard that we teach the men that can do anything to women and not be punished and women to not speak up because "boys are boys" . It is wrong. Also, in general this thing is full of misogyny and patriarchal views from the evil mother to the belief that the girl has to be perfect and cooks "because it is a woman job".
But there was two things I apreciated. The acting of the F4 actors, especially Dylan Wang and Darren Chen.

Refreshing
Vincenzo is really a refreshing drama. The base story is actually quite used in dramas. A corapted company uses everyone and everything to be on top and a team tries to bring them down. But the way they use it and the whole plot is really new. Everyone more or less is a villain, this isn't a battle between the wrong and right. It is a battle between the wrong and the wronger (I don't even know if this words exists...). And it isn't dark, it is actually a comedy. I won't speak about the ethics or the morallity or the message this drama leaves behind, I saw a lot of people speaking about that in others reviews/comments. Even if I don't agree with the way things work on the drama, I don't think this is important. It isn't the type of series in which the viewer look to the meaning of life and the morals, at least for me there is series I watch for the messege and series I watch because they are refreshing, new and interesting ( like come on, everyone watched Game of Thrones and no one cared about the nonexisting morals or the violence -much worse than Vincenzo and people justified Ramsay-, everyone loved Daenerys and she burned everyone in the end). Moreover, the concept "bad coglomerate/good lawyer with morals and fighting the evil in the right way" is overused in k-dramas, no one would care about it. They had to do something different. And for me, fortunately they did it...Vincenzo isn't a hero, not even an anti-hero, He is a villain, he knows it, we know it and he doesn't want or care to be nothing more. And I really like that and, even if sometimes a good redemption arc is really nice, Vincenzo doesn't need it. Or better, if he had one of those, he would be totally out of character. The only heroes is the residents of Geumga Plaza. Even Hong Cha Young is an anti-heroine. One more point of the plot, was the great characterization of women, Hong Cha Young, Choi Myung Hee, the women of Geumga plaza. Strong yet sensitive, memorable and interesting. It is really rare to watch a k-drama and love the FML. Overall, the only thing I personally didn't like was the end of Choi Myung Hee and Jang Han Seok, the plot as well the cinematography and the shots of the scenes was a bit too much and they weren't necessary.
Also, I have to speak about the cast. Everyone was really, really great, and I mean literally everyone. But I believe Ok Taecyeon and Kim Yeo Jin was fenomenal. They were psychos and I loved them.
Last but not least, aesthetically pleasing and amazing shots. I am an architect and this means a looot to me (completely symetrical shots with Song Joon Ki in the middle and amazing lights...). And of course, really good music and music themes. They were the perfect choice for every scene (The scene in the first episode with Vincenzo, the fire and this music is what made me think, Oh God, I love this.)

But what I love the most are two things. First, the supporting characters were amazing. They weren't just a comedy relief or fillers, they actually had their own stories and lives to lead. Second, the strong female characters, from Yoon Hye Jin who does everything without thinking about the other's opinion and is ahead of Chief Hong, to Pyo Mi Seon, who is older than Choi Eun Chul and has to teach him about relatioship, to Grandma Gam Ri, to Yeo Hwa Jeong and all the others women of Gongjin, which everyone is a strong indepentant woman and dictates herself her own life. Some are strict, some are sensitive, some are a bit too much, but everyone is strong in her own way and can take care of herself. Also, the series speaks a bit about some social problems which is really positive. To summarize, Gongjin is actually a miniature of our society with everything a reallistic community would have.

(It really contains some spoilers so I advise some caution)MLSHR was the first drama I ever watched 3 years ago. My friend recomended it to me because we love anything asian historical and because of Lee Joon Gi's handsome face, I didn't have no idea about anything related to k-dramas. Only this stupid prejudice that the Westerns have for the quality of anything asian related... I will never forget this drama and now, that I watched all these dramas, I will write about it.
Ok the story is not something exceptional. Time-travel (now I have seen is common enough in plots), let's say poor girl/rich guy, love triangle, historical, princes, politics, bloodbath, sad-ending (I will never understand why historical dramas mostly have sad endings). I have read the story is from a chinese book and drama (I haven't watched it) and I discovered that the plot is similar to the book (even how they go in the present). Maybe not the newest idea but it is really interesting and it keeps you at the edge of your seat. And even if it pained me, the sad end was fitting. Normally, dramas with a lot of characters tend to be really tiring because the writers don't care enough, if I say, for the second characters. But here everyone has enough characterization and space to develop. Personally, I sympathized more with the support characters than the main. I really don't remember who was the bad guy and what was his role on the story....
As of the cast, I will never understand how they could manage to find all these handsome boys. It was the reason I became a fan of Lee Joon Gi. How handsome and charismatic he is and he was the perfect fit for the role. I think it is his best drama. Kang Han Neul and Nam Joo Hyuk was also very memorable. And IU, even if her role was not the best, she was exceptionally good (I don't believe "singers cannot act", if someone has the talent can).
Overall, for me is THE BEST historical drama with My Country: New Age (maybe because I really cannot stand and understand the Joseon fashion...). One of these days I am thinking of re-watch it.

I just finished these series. I watched a lot of these kind but I think this is one of my favorites. The storyline has a real feeling. Even if the school enviroment and life is a cliche, the way they use it is really clever. No boring high school drama, the school is here just for the story to take place . And while the story develops, we can actually see real thoughts and problems teenagers have as they try to find themselves and understand the theme of love. It is nice and cute but (that's a liiiitle spoiler) it is ending with a sad and at the same time comforting way about understanding and moving forward. Also, I really like the acting, especially Hsiang Hao-ting's friends, and the music. I don't know if I ever rewatched the series. Not because they weren't good, but they were a really big emotional rollercoaster (and I watched every episode when they realesed) and sometimes it is difficult to feel this again. However, I recommend this drama to everyone!(English is not my first language so I am sorry for any mistakes)

Overwhelming (in a positive way)
First of all, it is really dark and rough. If someone is looking for a cute, tooth-roasting bl, I suggest to not watch KinnPorsche. But, actually this is its charm. Personally, I am really bored of the same, old sweet, cliché bl/romance dramas (there are exceptions but OK). I am really happy to watch a turn of the genre to more serious and mature themes with stories more wholesome, well written characters and better direction and cinematography.Kinnporsche has all of them. A good, dark story with a main plot and smaller ones that complement it. Well written characters and an amazing cast to bring them to life (extra credit to Apo and Bible, they are absolutely perfect). Also, the production was really serious with movie-like work. The direction, the cinematography, the scenery, the music... (I was hooked in the first scene with Kinn, the Italians and the music...).
However, plot wise it was action-packed and fast, I really believe that they could slow down a bit and make more episodes. I think there were moments that the story was a bit rushed. A slower pace could give the characters more time to shine. I really needed a bit more depth in Kinn, Pete, Kim and Porschay. For the last three, I have hope in the 2nd season, if they finally do it. But especially Kinn, he is the main character and sometimes I was like wtf he is doing that or that... I wanted to see more of his motives.
Or maybe I am looking to say something a biit negative just to say it. Because really, what is important here is the big picture, the forest, not the tree. The evolution of the BL genre, especially the Thai. The last 2 years, we watched some great examples of good BL. "I told Sunset about you" and "I Promised you the Moon", "Bad Buddy", "Not me" and now "KinnPorsche". Series that take theirself seriously with realistic characters and a plot that goes deeper than the romance. Also, without harmful clichés and fetishism of LGBTQI+ people. Growing up, family, social problems, crime/mafia (not realistic but OK), themes popular in dramas but rare in BL dramas. I am really happy with this turn. With the success of these dramas, I am confident we will see more.

First of all, I have some time that I finished this drama. I didn´t write a review then because it left me with a meh feeling. Maybe because I had bigger expectations than the reality. The drama starts really interesting. Actually realistic stories than can happen to someone. Normal families, normal relationships. It tries really to speak about the life of someone in theirs twenties. But as the story continues it starts making no sense. Ok, the story and sudden success of Sa Hye Joon, it is a bit strange. Second, the love story between Jung Ha and Hye Joon, in the start it was really nice and it was great that it wasn't the main plot until it became. And I didn't understand what became their relationship in the end. Third, what exactly is the role of Won Hae Hyo in the plot? His friendship with Hye Joon was interesting, but in the end there was there only for the love triangle, which is completely unnecessary. And the end was completely unsatisfying.

I don't really know what exactly to say about this drama. First of all, the easy stuff, realistic school life, they actually study. The hard stuff now, I don't know how easy someone can speak about these things like underage sex trafficking, and mental health issues. In a enviroment that can remind a Steven King story (young people, school as a small community etc), this drama speaks about that with realistic enough way. About the trauma and the reasons behind it. And how to some people the hardships of others is something far away and a "game". That was the main point, but as the story went by I think it became a little too much complicated with this gang stuff. And I think it wasn't needed. The story as a whole had more potential, always I had a feeling that it was good but with something missing. The story and the end had some similarities with Parasite, someone with nothing using illegal methods to climb the social ladder and the way the story is solved. I think it is just a Korean dark thing the end. I have watched crime dark series and movies from differents countries and korean ones are some of the darkest.
Also, really great acting, especially Kim Dong Hee (I loved him from Itaewon Class but in Extracarricular he is amazing) and Choi Min Soo. And congratulations to Park Joo Hyun for creating a really annoying and completely fitting character as Bae Gyu Ri.

I just finished watching this. I cannot write my thoughts completely spoiler-free but obviously I won't reveal anything major. This is a story of a police detective with a supernatural power and a genious profiler trying to catch a serial killler that has something to do with their past. Have we seen it again? Of course. It was interesting? Absolutely. When you came across a mystery-police thriller you wanted to be unpredictable with suspense, action (a bit) and a good case. And this drama has everything. A good case with suspense from the first episode (and it is torture when you watch it week to week) and really clever way of building and revealing the mystery. Nothing is like it seems and it can trick you. And that it is the best part. He has superpower and she is a genious but they misunderstand and lead themselves to wrong paths. As the plot was reavealing I really enjoyed the whole theme with the power abuse (from the police, prosecution, rich etc) and how they used the power their positions seems to hold to hide their mistakes.
If I find something negative is that at some points the plot was too complecated with no reason, just to be complicated. And I was a tiny bit disapointed from the final ending and the "true villain". I understand their motives and their use in the envolve of the plot and Dong Baek's character but I think was a bit random. That's the reason I give it 9.5. As for the rewatch value, I don't rewatch mystery series a second time because I know the end and I cannot enjoy them. But you can see new perspectives the second time.
Also, really nice cast with special credits to Ko Chang Seok and Yoon Ji On, with their great characters that confirm that the sidekicks are always the best.

The perfect example for the super-hyped drama turned meh
I don't even know if I liked this drama or not. Because if something has potential but it isn't good, the dissapointment is greater. It had potential but for a number of reasons it wasn't so good.Actually, the story was really interesting. Different dimensions with a whole system and how they suppose to work, modern royalty (though I would prefer not to be so westernized), the mystery and crime part. But at the same time it was too complicated with no reason at all. But the script and the direction used all these for just a complicated background for the romance which, let's be honest, didn't even made sense. Too forced, without proper character development and completely no chemistry between Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun (and I mean at all, I saw an interview and even their real-life interactions look awkward).
Generally, I don't like Lee Min Ho, I haven't found some role he was ok. But he truly doesn't fit Yi Gon. It is a mix of a bad written character (too perfect, no character development, the same from start to end) and an actor I don't think is something more than a pretty face (questionable). Everyone also was decent in their roles (and most of them had 2 roles with completely different characters).
Besides all these, I actually enjoyed the drama. The villain was ok and with a super detailed plan (I believed they would never find him and hoped it). And, of course, one more drama to prove that Woo Do Hwan can be anyone and do anything (one of the very few people I enjoyed to watch). I think he is amazing in everything he does and this drama is no exception. He portrays two COMPLETELY different characters with great tallent. Also, I loved Head Court Lady Noh (Kim Young Ok). She was the only logical person there.
