The first story about Miyeon and ML was very fresh tbh!You don't really see a lot of talk about masturbation in shows nowadays, especially not in K-dramas!It was a nice suprise (though kinda gross obviously) to see something so underepresented play such a big role in the action. If im being honest, as a teenager going through this awkward and awakening stage in my life where I experience with myself and my sexuality, I very rarely see people talking about this with such ease. Other shows like Sex Education or Heartbreak High are usually very full on in your face, but this was a rather soft approach and it was kinda interesting seeing the mind of a teenage boy, even though it was weird at first. ML was trying to take back control of his life that was ruined by the constant need to be sexually engaging with himself, which again is not something you would see on a show for teens!They very rarely talk about the cons of masturbating as teenagers or masturbating at all tbh. Either way, very funny and genuine Gen Z dialogue, plus FL side story about stuggling with an addiction too was very relatable!Plus Miyeon never disapoints and the couple was cute in the end.
The 2nd mini story was by far my favorite. First of all Im a big fan of Ryeoun so seeing him here was a nice suprise!The ML and FL had so much chemistry and dear god how I related to FL's story! Honestly, being seen as conservative and being scared to make a move is so real!And the fake friends were literally the epitome of high school lmao! Once again the dialogue delivered very Gen Z vibes, most from FL. The kisses were so genuine, nothing like I've ever seen in a K-drama lol, Just his body was kinda impossible for a teen, athlete or not haha but bonus ig. Loved everything about this mini story!The FL and ML's gay friend was a nice touch too, didn't feel forced or anything!I kinda wanted to see her gf though.
Now the 3rd story started off well ig, but then...well...eh...ruined the 10/10 score. FL story was real once again, wanting to loose weight because of insecurities and not being able to turn down food :( felt that in my soul. Nevertheless, both the MLs were bland and weird asf. The American wannabe had a weird ass finger fetish and the idol was just a loser. After FL heard what Idol ML said about her I thought she was gonna be smart and call it quits with men but ig noooo she had to be the bigger person "because good people never step lower than their enemies" blah blah blah shit. She's better than me, cus me personally I would have NOT let that slide. Kinda wished she would love herself in the end instead of relying on ppl again, cus I felt that kinda defeated the point of the mini story?
In conclusion, this drama represented teens perfectly in my experience, I would watch again and I would reccomend to any teens out there cus I feel like this might not be the best for adults. It's too silly and ig too "problematic" except for the 2nd couple. But screw those ppl, cus this drama is cute and I wished it was longer.
