Hello, and welcome to my page!
My current obsession with Asian Drama started autumn 2020 with Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People . However, I grew up watching Indian movies most Sundays and Chinese/Japanese Martial Arts films almost as often.
Around April 2020, with extra time on my hands due to lockdown, I transitioned from just binging anime online to scouring Netflix for something to watch. The King’s Avatar caught my eye and it became my favourite series - to which everything else was compared.
I now live on MDL reading articles, playing forum games and tracking the dramas/movies I watch using this rating criteria.
10 * Exceptionally outstanding! Perfect in every way, wowed me all the way through. Couldn't get any better.
9.5 * Almost perfect! Brought me great joy or sadness, took me through a range of emotions, loved it.
9 * Excellent! Touched me. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
8-8.5 * I enjoyed this - good job.
7-7.5 * Good but I've seen better.
6-6.6 * I watched this and was compelled to finish it despite its many flaws.
5-5.5* Meh, must have done somethings well - story, acting....
4 * May have been ok once - but it didn't age well.
3 * Didn't finish - got better things to do with my life, Dramas to see, reviews to explore... Maybe it got better later on, I'll never know.
2 * This is bad - couldn't someone tell them before it got this far?
1 * Why is this still available? I want my time back!
Not interested means I can't find this in English sub - please help.
Rom-com is - by far - my favourite genre! I especially enjoy shows that excel in the use of dramatic Irony. Cue Mulan: I'll Make A Man Out Of You
Among my absolute favourite dramas you'll find:
The King’s Avatar
Love in the Moonlight
Goblin
Coffee Prince
Her Private Life
The Princess Wei Young
