A Sweet Series that Highlighted Women's Stories in Old Time
Focusing on women's position in old-time Japan, where they consider a person who stays on the back and is not able to become a leader. Ichika, who was a widow, doesn't have a choice but to marry someone who is 15 years younger to save her family's restaurant. Not only that, she also faced a crisis about the fact that she needed to take over the business by becoming the head chef, although so many people doubted her just because she is a woman. Through this series, we could see how women had so many disadvantages in Japan at that time. How they look down on women. How women didn't get their proper place in society. The romance part is quite sweet. Just typical that Josei manga's story where the heroine find her true love and get loved by the male lead. Since it's all about cullinary, I love how they show us Japanese fussion cullinary, which perfectly describes the female lead character. For those who love food theme drama and sweet romance, this is truly recommended!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
A heartwarming story about friendship and life
Food, friendship, and finding ourselves always been my favorite theme. Through this drama, we will get to see how important it is to have someone we can lean on, whether they are family, friends, or lovers. Chiharu, who struggles because of her past, finds happiness in her two friends, whom she reunites with after a long time. Three broken people who didn't know what to do in life gather together and heal their wounds by becoming each other's shoulders. A heartwarming story where we could see the strong bonding between the three leads.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
A Perfect Series to Heal Ourselves
This is absolutely a true gem! For everyone who needs consolation, this is the perfect drama to watch. I think everyone of us has had an experience like Hongdou. We got lost, felt confused, and didn't know what to do in life. Each episode truly teaches us what's important in our lives. What we truly need in life and how we need to face every one of our problems. The people in the yard who came to this place to recuperate one by one became allies and healed each other. I also love how they developed Hongdou and Ayao's relationship. Two different people tried their best to understand each other without forcing each other's feelings. Their love is just as beautiful as this whole series. When I need time to heal, I am sure I will come back again to watch this gem!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Healing through traveling!!
Surprisingly, I enjoyed this series more than I expected. I love how this series let us meet a different story for each episode and led us slowly to know the main character, Park Ha Kyung. Just like her, I think so many of us have always wanted to take some time off just to log out of our busy lives. Whether it be through traveling, eating, or doing our hobbies, we could enjoy our lives and recharge for a better tomorrow. I feel like this series tried to remind us that we need to take a rest every time we feel exhausted from our everyday lives. The revelation about her best friend actually got me startled, and I didn't expect to cry so much at the end of the episode. In conclusion, this is a good healing short-drama that will help you find consolation and make you feel warm.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

"Whether it's now or 30,000 years ago, I was fated to find you."
In this captivating drama, the intricate interplay of past love, lost memory, and enduring reunion takes center stage, amidst a backdrop of tribulation that spans across lifetimes. The narrative revolves around two souls whose fates have been entwined through ten thousand of years, torn apart by tragedy and bound together by a love that transcends time. Through the thematic exploration of love's recurrence across lifetimes, the drama leaves viewers pondering the idea that true love persists despite the trials of existence. Ultimately, this poignant tale invites audiences to reflect on the notion that love's essence endures, even in the face of forgotten memories and the tests of time. They are really the epitome of I am ready to sacrifice myself as long as the one I love lives well. Whether it's 30.000 years ago, in the mortal world, or after they reunite again, they keep protecting each other at the cost of their own lives. Watching Chu Kong send his last soul to prevent Xiang Yun from perishing is so sad. He couldn't keep his promise to be with her forever, but he did this because what was important to him was keeping his beloved one alive. The last line, when he asked her to look around the world so they could meet again, became a sliver of hope for Xiang Yun that one day he really would come back to her side. Whether it's in the past or future, whether it's another lifetime or another timeline, she makes sure to find him again. If we connected it with the novel ending, we could imagine Xiang Yun going back and forth to find him, collecting every sliver of his soul, and finally being able to meet the one that she has been waiting for. The one who promised her a forever life together.

"If this is already a past life, who do you think we are to each other in the next?"
"Past Live" gave us one of the best films cinematography, powerful dialogue, and grounded acting, capturing a familiar and authentic essence of life. Set against a backdrop of wistful nostalgia, the movie delves into the intricate interplay of "what if" and "unfinished past love," weaving a tale of heartfelt emotions and missed opportunities. Amid the captivating "what if" scenarios, the central theme of unfinished past love remains a poignant undercurrent, underscoring the ache of unresolved feelings and unspoken words. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, lending authenticity to their emotions and dilemmas as they grapple with the temptation to alter their shared history. Throughout the movie, the audience is invited to contemplate the delicate balance between fate and free will, as the characters navigate the blurred boundaries of the past, present, and potential futures. While the exploration of the "what if" scenarios offers a sense of catharsis, the film ultimately embraces the bittersweet beauty of embracing one's past and moving forward, even if some chapters remain unfinished. Through its evocative storytelling, the movie resonates as a heartfelt ode to the complexities of love, regrets, and the profound impact of the choices we make.
The pain of watching Nora and Hae-sung repeatedly part ways resonates deeply, showing that certain connections are irreplaceable. Ultimately, "Past Lives" managed to depict real-life scenarios without always needing a happy ending.

When the dawn breaks, i'll be the first to see you
This movie was a pleasant surprise. I knew nothing about it, but I loved the simple and fresh story of two young people who help each other overcome their fears. The film had a compelling narrative, exceptional cinematography, and music. It is a youth movie about Akane, a girl who hides her feelings with a fake smile, and Seiji, a carefree boy who is kind, firm, and loves drawing the sky. They become close when Seiji helps Akane with their school festival and learns her secret.
The final part reveals why Seiji liked Akane, and it was beautiful. I also loved how the movie showed the beauty of colors and the sky, like a moment of youth.
Even though this story is common, it is still enjoyable and warm.

Park's Contract Marriage Story

Do you have faith in destiny and love that defies time?
This is the tale of a Confucian woman from the Joseon era thrust into the year 2023 after her husband's sudden passing. Determined to uncover the truth behind his tragic demise, she encounters someone who bears a striking resemblance to her late husband and shares his name. Is he truly the same person as her beloved spouse?Beyond being a love story, it delves into themes of family dynamics and camaraderie. Moreover, it highlights the constraints faced by Joseon-era women, juxtaposed with the modern era where women experience greater freedom and opportunities to pursue their dreams.
Despite its short episode and some episodes with a hasty narrative, "The Story Of Parks Marriage Contract" stands as a beautifully crafted love story. It skillfully portrays the transcendent love journey between Yeonwoo and Taeha across time and space, leaving me filled with immense joy and happiness.

Youth is a secret room made of awkwardness
The mystery-youth drama masterfully merged mystery-solving into student life, creating an absorbing series. Each episode captivates with its unique charm and fulfilling endings.Yamada Anna and Okudaira Daiken excelled as Sappukei and Katogi, portraying complex characters brilliantly. Their performances, paired with a great script, were praiseworthy.
The show shines in telling various stories through different characters, avoiding excessive drama and highlighting modesty. Each narrative has its allure, leaving a lasting mark. Its emotional depth and poignant moments resonated deeply with me.

One Second Ahead of Her

When God returned the time to those people who were always one step behind
I haven’t seen the original, but I know that the Japanese version has the genders reversed. It is a story about two people who have very different rhythms of life. Hajime is always one step ahead, while Reika is always one second behind. This alone will affect their destiny in this movie. The quirky and comedic setting is quite interesting, and the fantasy element is not too exaggerated, but it can be a bit confusing. The first half of the story is somewhat dull, but it becomes more enjoyable, engaging, and well-paced when the point of view switches to the female lead. As someone who hasn’t seen the original, I found this movie interesting and refreshing.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

A classic first love story
A story that inspired from the infamous Utada Hikaru's song "First Love", where the two main lead are each other first love who met during their high school day but seperarted because of unexpected event. They met again 20 years later where the female lead already a single mother and the male lead engaged to someone. Actually what's so painful from their seperation is the "amnesia trope" where the female lead couldn't remember the male lead at all. It's breaking my heart. Their journey to find each other again is so long, but worth waiting. For someone who love Hikaru and Takeru, I think their screentime are too short compared to their younger counterpart. But, I really enjoyed this drama. And Hikki's song really hit differents after watching this drama!!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
