Greed is beyond evil

I started late watching beyond evil because I joined the Vincenzo trend but because I can’t ignore the good reviews about this drama and so I started watching it..
At first the storyline was very complicated and it seemed very intense. I was afraid that it might take a wrong turn just like some dramas but as the story progresses the problem zoomed in.
It was just a simple struggle for survival. A mother protecting his son because of her greed for power and it may not seem but it was also out of love. A gangster and a police officer doing everything to feed their greed. A wrongly accused man trying to make out of what’s left. An abandoned son justifying the acts of her mother. A rookie police officer wanting to prove himself..
Beyond evil is a complex yet a very simple story and it’s nicely done.

It took a wrong turn.

Initially I was so thrilled to watch this drama because it starts one of my favorite actor Kim Rae Won. The plot was promising not the usual drama it’s about science specifically cloning. It would have been better if the writer delve more on the evolution of the cloned human it’s emotion and relationship to other humans.
It took a wrong turn when everybody started dying and betraying one other.It came to an end with no clear resolution.It just proves that human are improper being that will do anything for greed, power and money.

However good the actors and the ost of the drama it would still fall short if the storyline is premature.

To like or not to like..

I am torn if I like this series or I don’t.It’s creepy and intriguing at the same time.
During the first episodes I can’t wait to watch the next to find out if finally the male lead had escaped from the hell he’s been. But as the series progresses I find it hard to watch because it creeps me and I’m starting to pity the ML.
Trying to survive on his own amidst his social status, but it seemed that Lady Luck was not on his side. Finding it hard to fit in the society were everyone was different probably took a toll on him and it made him disoriented from reality.
Life in itself is difficult and we need a good support system such our family and friends we can trust and those who believe in us to keep us sane and to survive.

The price of being normal..

Being normal or ordinary might be a bore to most of us but for somebody who has no one and has nothing it’s quite a challenge.
The ML had a very simply dream to be normal and be like everyone else but given the circumstances it was hard for him. Making ends meet is difficult and it becomes doubly hard when your alone that is probably why others tend to take an easy way out doing something illegal or immoral to make easy money. But there is no such thing as easy money it requires hard work, sacrifice, persistence, and probably a little luck.
Sooner or later you just become unlucky.
This is a sad drama.

After all….

At the beginning I wanted this drama to be just like the ordinary cliche boy meets girl thing but as it progress the storyline becomes toxic to the point that I wanted to drop it. But, I stuck to it thinking that this would be a new perspective a glimpse of reality that not all relationships are healthy. Considering that they were in their early 20’s and in college the core should have been more on infatuation and moving on, learning from experiences. But unfortunately it ended just like any other cliche about love and fate and a happy ending.

After all it would have been something nice.

I watched this drama because there has been a lot of buzz prior to its airing. Luckily it was good watch, although the mid portion was a little dragging. The first 6 episodes was fast paced and the last 3 episodes redeemed the mid portion.
I also like the brotherly love between the two main characters, it would have been nice if they delve more on their relationship but romance would never go wrong.
The acting was good and the actors were all pleasing to the eyes. I also like the music and the scenery
Overall it was good but there is still room for improvement..
