*sigh*
This drama has a lot of cliches and probably was the original one that started those I’m not sure because I’m fairly new to kdrama land. But honestly cliche is not at all the problem with this drama. I can manage with cliche dramas and still find them cute. This drama started off fine like I knew what to expect and since I watched it in 2021 it probably wouldn’t make it to my top 3 or top 10 considering the plot is a little outdated. Pig rabbit concept was cute tho!(0.5 for that)
The main problem with the drama however is that it gets so frustrating with every passing episode. The heroine suffers so much because of her one sided love, the other guy in the love triangle also silently suffers because he’s unable to tell her how he feels but the hero can’t even decide properly till the last episode that he wants to be with the heroine. His feelings are very vague and there’s really no romantic chemistry between the leads. They seem like a pair of siblings, Hwang Taegyung being the older sibling always looking out for his little sis Ko Mi-Nam
As this drama was inching closer to the end my patience was ticking. The drama was hella frustrating and childish.
I finished this drama out of pure respect for the the leads Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye. Both of them are really good actors (The 2 points in this review are for them). The actor who played Shin woo couldn’t act. His eyes were blank. But I read somewhere that it was his first drama so I’ll let it slide.

If I could give this drama 0 stars, I’d do that.
This is one drama that started off really well. I had a lot of hopes from this one but it failed to deliver. The plot was all over the place. They tried to focus on dreams, law that too prosecutor’s as well as lawyer’s side of the case, police intervention and media (reporters). Unfortunately for them, too many cooks spoil the broth. They tried to incorporate storylines that we’ve seen in full length dramas like Pinocchio, I hear your voice, etc. in one drama. What were the writers even thinking? They couldn’t even focus properly on one aspect of the story.
Acting wise Bae Suzy or rather her character was selfish, bratty and not likable. The actress was trying tho. I’ve seen Lee Jong Suk in about 4 dramas and never really had any complains about his acting. But in this one he was terrible. I especially remember a scene where he gets stabbed in a dream sequence. In that dream sequence a guy appears to bump shoulders with LJS and passes by. LJS looks really puzzled like he’s unaware of what just happened. He turns back and watches the guy walk away. Finally he turns his head, facing forward with the same puzzled expression and suddenly he decides to look down and Guess what he realizes he’s been stabbed!! He makes a lazy expression and drops to the ground. I don’t have anything against him but that ☝️ is some terrible acting skills.
About this drama the less said the better it is. There was a point after I think 12 episodes, when it got so boring to watch that I finally decided to put it on hold at episode 20. Jung hae-In has done a good job and the Miniso plushie is super cute.

Like a plane crash
This drama started off strong, continued very strong only to crash at the end.The casting was very good, the storyline brings out the best in the actors. Good acting from Lee Jong Suk, Yoona, all of the villains and supporting actors. I really liked LJS in this one.
The plot itself builds up so much anticipation for the reveal of Big Mouse. It’s an exciting journey but the big reveal is super disappointing. Not someone you would’ve expected or sadly even noticed in the drama.

Bravo
Note: if you cannot tolerate an antihero and prefer justice the legal way, this drama and this review aren’t for you. Watch a regular legal drama instead.I was a little worried before I started watching Vincenzo. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the drama but, I don’t regret watching it. Every second of the drama is entertaining. This drama is a solid 10/10
Vincenzo is a very well planned, written and executed drama with brilliant actors and great cinematography. Some parts of the story are predictable but it doesn’t take away from the drama. In my opinion It’s like a drama that needed a theatrical release, some of the scenes were so intense they’d give you the feels. Vincenzo strikes the right balance between comedy, action, drama and a tad bit romance. All the characters in the drama play and important role in pushing the plot forward. This drama does leave you longing for more but in the actual plot itself there really aren’t any loose ends that call for a season 2. But somehow I’m hoping for a spin-off to address some parts of the story that we’re still curious about.
About the plot itself I’m just gonna say that Vincenzo Cassano is a smart mafia consigliere ??and his attacks on the villains are ingenuity. He’s not perfect and does not always outsmart the villains but most of the time he does and this isn’t entirely because he is extremely smart, it might simply be because he has encountered worse villains being in the mafia that the Babo and Wusang lawyers might just feel like a few drops in the ocean. Vincenzo tackles Babel and judicial corruption his own way making him a sympathetic criminal antihero.
What I like the most about this drama is that they didn’t make that age old twist in the drama where Vincenzo suddenly turns out to be an intelligence officer. He was evil and continues to be evil.
SPOILER- ....................neither did he have a very big heart to share the gold with all the plaza tenants just because they helped him as one would’ve expected............
About the actors, before Vincenzo I had only seen Song Joong Ki in A werewolf boy and I knew the guy was talented. He didn’t have a single dialogue in that movie yet his expressions and body language spoke volumes. I think he’s done a good job as Vincenzo. I want to watch more of his dramas. I’ve never seen any projects of Jeon Yeo-Been before but her acting skills are good too and very natural. I also have to add this she’s gorgeous. Ok Taecyeon’s acting skills are on point. He’s one of those idol actors who can really act and does a lot of justice to his roles. Be it innocence, frustration, anger or pain he portrays it perfectly especially with that look in his eyes. All in all I think all the cast members have done a fabulous job the main characters, the villains and the supporting cast.
Also I do like the stopped time and Un diavolo scaccia l′altro instrumental osts, and Adrenaline especially the English version.
Lastly it’s kdrama land don’t put too much thought to into it and bring down the drama just because it may not be the most realistic because most kdramas aren’t. The drama has it’s flaws but it’s imperfectly perfect. I agree this drama may not be for everyone but those whose ideologies align with the concept of the drama are gonna love it. It’s not that frustrating fight against injustice and corruption where there’s so much to lose for 3 quarters of the drama and then one big win. Just sit back and enjoy this one like a refreshing soda. Cheers!

One thing is for sure, you’ll want to carry SunSol and run!
Lovely runner is a cute drama, has a lot of fluff and the leads have great chemistry. This drama isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for something mature or more realistic you could skip.I like the time loop/time slip concept. I’ve seen it in ‘The Call’, ‘365 repeat the year’ & ‘signal’ and maybe that’s why I liked this one as well.
I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying that 30+ year old ‘Im Sol’ doesn’t act her age. Honestly, 30 is just a number. I’ve realized that after having reported to 30+ year old managers at work who are super immature, still figuring out life yet shameless enough to advise you on how to live your life ?. I think Im Sol is way better, loveable and quite realistic.
This is the first drama I’ve seen Byeon Woo Seok in. I didn’t think I’d like him much, Idk how to explain this part… I guess I didn’t think he was that good looking (not hating, not sure what I was thinking, I’ve forgotten how I saw him before lovely runner) but he really grew on me. I think he is extremely charming as an actor. He is so charming that he can make you change your mind 360°. The guy can act, sing, has a presence and can make your heart flutter. Now every time I see a picture or video of him, I smile at my phone like a crazy person. Kim Hye Yoon played a similar character in Extraordinary you, which is also one of the reasons why Lovely Runner was written. She carried that drama (EY) but got very little recognition for that compared to the male leads. KHY has done well on this one as well. I think BWS and KHY have really good chemistry and shine equally in the drama. I’m glad they’re both getting the recognition they deserve.
I like the osts. I listen to Sonaki at least once a day while commuting.
This part contains Spoilers
The story itself isn’t something new. To me it feels like a collage of a few existing drama’s stories. For example, in 365 repeat the year, Nam Ji Hyun has the same disability and goes back in time to change that. The characters make you want to continue this drama more than the plot itself. I do believe some of the other characters felt a little incomplete and could’ve been explored more. Overall still a good watch.
There are 2 scenes that I didn’t like in the drama
1) The scene where Sol’s friend and brother are arguing and the kitchen is set on fire. It doesn’t make sense that they don’t smell the smoke or realize that a fire has broken out when they’re right there.
2) Sol decides to stay back at the village without a plan and deal the stalker on her own when she could’ve clearly avoided that and maybe the future would’ve eventually followed the same events that took place in the past which would’ve been better for her as she already had a plan to nab the stalker. But maybe it was her desperate attempt to break the vicious cycle of the stalker chasing her only to eventually kill Sun Jae.
A lot of people feel the stalker/killer guy had an anticlimactic ending but I kinda agree with what Kim Tae Sung says in the drama that these serial killers shouldn’t be glorified and given titles like evil, these people are simply trash. Trash doesn’t deserve a climatic ending, they deserve to be forgotten.
To conclude, I think the characters would shine even more if the story was written a tad bit better. If you’re not a budding philosopher who looks for logic and realism in everything then Lovely Runner is easy to watch, fun and leaves you with happy memories. It has a good ending and loveable characters. I wasn’t bored and this drama made me happy. Sol and Sun Jae go through a roller coaster ride to get their happy ending and you will want to carry them on your back and run.
