Entertaining mix of horror, romance and comedy
Before I get to the actual review, I must ask for a bit of indulgence. Bring it on, Ghost was my first k-drama. After following for years tv shows like NCIS and House, BiOG was a revelation. It was more than a cultural shock but the fact that the whole series fit inside sixteen episodes just blew my mind. There was so much happening in every episode, I just had to binge it. This was the start of my journey into dramaland and as the saying goes, I went down the rabbit hole! :)
It is no surprise then that this show held a special place for me. It may be through rose tinted glasses but I still think that this show is very entertaining. There is a good mix of horror (nothing over the top), comedy and romance. The OPT has great chemistry and the fact that the pair fell in love not once but twice was a lovely twist. In hindsight, I'm surprised that the show actually has few of the typical k/c/t-drama tropes. The pacing was great, the ensemble cast was above average, there were action scenes as well as swoon worthy ones between the OTP. It might not be up there with the top dramas like Itaewon Class and When Camellia Blooms but it stands on its own merits and is binge worthy.
