Never thought I’d love a Chinese drama this much.
Everything is worth it to watch from the first second of the first episode until the last second of the last episode. The story is the right mixture of mature and childish tone. I love the way how the characters tackle their problem in life and how they support each other to grow as an individual. Also it’s refreshing to see that there’s no rich man bullying a girl here or a bad to good boy trope. It’s good to see that the female characters are portrayed as someone who has a potential to be who she wants to be. The childhood connection cliche is there, but it’s forgivable.
Also, the story of the second couple is engaging enough to make you interested with them too.
As for the acting, they are all great from the leads down to the supporting casts. The male lead also improved a lot compared to the first time I saw him in Put Your Head on My Shoulder. I almost didn’t recognize him. Fair Xing, is still good, as always. ❤️
This drama is a combination of all I want in a story. It has 28 episodes (tbh, I first thought it’s too much for me), but I finished it only for 3 days and I didn’t skip anything! That speaks volume. Now I miss all the characters and the feeling they gave me the past days.

Better.
I watched this drama with no expectation at all, but it is good. Actually, better for someone with no expectation at all.Okay. First of all, the characters are all visually pleasing. Second, they all acted really well. The leading lady's portrayal of her character is not over the top, and that made me stay watching it.
As for the story, it keeps on making me want for more. What will happen next? The sub plots are not draggy, and that's good. Last but not the least, the humor!! oh i love it. the timing is perfect.
I give this drama an 8.5/10 because I'm not done yet. After trying almost 10 chinese dramas and dropping all of them, I'm glad I found something I like.
