Really well acted and executed scenes, I was engrossed the entire time, for every second.
There were just the right amount of cliffhangers, and mysteries - not too much to annoy me and not too little to seem too predictable. But that's the thing, this drama maybe anything but it's not predictable.
They could have showed the surgery on Soo Hyun's mother to be a success in the end (against all odds) and made Park Hoon seem like an invincible hero, but they didn't. It gave such a humbling feel to see him fail, gave a realistic touch to his prodigal doctoral skills. I know it's horrendous of me to say that the death of a patient was a good thing but I'm just seeing the situation objectively.
Either way, a gripping episode deserves more than 10/10.

The first half was intense with the focus on the surgery of the newborn twins. That part was good, edgy and gripping. But that's where the good things about the episode ended. The rest of the episode had nothing but the cat-mouse chase between Jae Hee and Park Hoon. Seriously guys, it's happening so often now that even I can recognize some of the corridors and staircases they run around.
I think the writers are now trying just TOO hard to keep the suspense up. Too much of it starts to annoy me. I know it's essential to keep the viewers hooked and they were doing a marvelous job uptill a few episodes ago, you can check my previous reviews, I was gushing like a nutcase about how amazing the mystery is. But repeating and dragging the same issue over and over again in the bloody same manner? Don't you get bored of writing the same thing? I know I got bored watching it. It was the first time I check the remaining time of the episode to see when I could finish it and go to sleep. That's bad, really.
I hope that the writers find new focal points for the suspense now because the Seung Hee/Jae Hee and Park Hoon chase is driving me insane. I really don't want to stop watching this show because of the sake of the brilliancy is showed in the earlier episodes.
Every show has it's share of good and bad episodes, this was just one of the bad ones, that's all. I hope the streak doesn't continue. I'd hate to think of the show as a disappointment.

One of the best things about this show is that there are probably going to be minimal complications in the romance aspect. In Ha's incapability to lie renders all the misunderstandings moot. The main issues when love stories are at stake are the misunderstandings and the things that the lovers don't say to each other, it's highly refreshing to see people who're upfront with their feelings. Granted, Choi Dal Po is hesitant to admit his feelings for her but the reason behind hiding those feelings is on an entirely different level.
Dal Po meeting his brother in this manner was expected, him recognizing him first was also expected. What surprised me was the interest his brother showed in In Ha. I really really really hope that this is not going to turn ugly. It's understandable that Jae Myung might want to hurt In Ha's mother for doing what she did to their family but.. this is too cruel. Hurting an innocent is not justified in any regard. I hope he comes to his senses before any chance of his salvation is lost.
I'm in awe with the way every episode is so well-made and executed. You've got the serious moments, the mystery, the romance, the comedy, everything mixed so well in the perfection combination you never realize how the time goes by. You just want to continue watching their story because it's so gripping! Truly amazing!

This was THE best episode. of the show. Hands down. I could watch it all over again if I wanted to. This is what the show is capable of and I'm ecstatic that it has finally come back to where it belongs. Reminds of pheonixes :)
Such great acting, I was blown away. AMAZING execution of the episode as a whole. Incorporated the past, the present, everything. I have absolutely no praises that can do justice to this episode.

In a drama, the first episode is where normally all the characters are built up and/or the plot is laid and let's be honest, it's not always exciting just listening about the past of the characters, unless there's a mystery involved. THIS episode however, despite just being a plot build up and a character build up, kept me with it till the end. Mainly because of the acting. The young Hye Sung was, captivating, truly. She was the highlight of the episode.
The concept seems fresh for a series, there's going to be courtroom drama, love triangles, Lee Jong Suk - all the ingredients to keep me happy. Very happy :P

Like I said, a fun episode, had its moments of laughter, much thanks to Lee Jong Suk, his swearing and cursing was adorable. There's a scene where he holds his hands over his cheeks to protect them from any more of Dr. Oh's slaps and I wanted to climb into my laptop screen and give Dr. Oh a piece of my mind for hurting such a lovable guy. Humph.
And then, suddenly, in the last 10 mins, all the fun ends. BAM. Jae Hee is at the hospital. As a doctor no less! Needless to say, the show's writer's are good at surprising me :D I think Park Hoon just got a major reason to work at the hospital now. But WHY is Jae Hee at the hospital anyway? And she's behaving.. weird. And I can't help but feel there's going to some serious love quadrangle happening, because - hello, am I the only one who saw chemistry between Dr. Oh and Park Hoon?
Agh, the show is just too good for me to second guess everything, so I should just stop.
Hopelessly hooked to the series!

Although it happened quite earlier than what I had expected, the kiss In ha and Dal Po shared felt just right. It just goes to show that although it is a part of the genre, this show is not primarily a romance. Which is a thing I love about this show. It could have easily deviated and become a drag because of a side-line plot but it's sticking to it course and delivering in every aspect. All I feel is respect and admiration for the writers of this show.
Coming to the theories and estimations (I can't help but make them!) - I think that the accident that Jae Myung prevented (which was a really brave thing to do btw) and the news coverage that MSC will do on that will put him in a new light and maybe warm Dal Po towards the idea of revealing his identity to his brother. But the fact that Jae Myung made it abundantly clear that he wants nothing to do with Dal Po or any reporter may deter progress of their relationship. I love how this is not so simple and about to get even more complicated but still seems like a legit thing that could happen with people. Great work by every single person associated with the show. I'm glad I can watch such a wonderful piece of work :)

Lee Jong Suk breathes fresh air into the episode as soon as he appears (dancing to "Tell Me" XD) and has you hooked onto him with each passing second. It was a delight watching him and I'm giddy with excitement at the prospect of being able to watch him throughout the series.
Tbh, a lot happened in this one episode, but the amazing part is, you don't feel that ANY of it rushed. Everything moves at a fast but fairly good pace. I'm rooting for this show, because after a long while, a pilot episode has had me this interested. I can only hope this level of amazing is carried forward in the rest of the series.

Finally Jae Joon is back in the spotlight. Amazing stuff. Personally his story is the best one out of the whole lot. It's interesting, seems to have a purpose and a definite line of direction - things that the other plotlines lacked.
One thing that I'm happy about is the things aren't feeling rushed. There are two more hours to finish everything and there's not much left so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the writers will respect the sentiments of the people who are STILL watching the show after all this time and give the show a good end.

Not an exceptional episode, but a good one nonetheless. Thank god for the actual medical thrill they're providing us finally.

Have you ever seen a person desperately begging someone? Today I did. The way Park Hoon tried to get JH/SH to talk to him, it broke my heart. You could actually see the desperation in his eyes and actions. JH/SH is either a really good actor or a really cold person. And now that we know she really is Jae Hee, I think either she is too determined to see through whatever The Mission is, or she doesn't know she is Jae Hee herself, and is just acting out the part set out for her by Officer Cha, which would be quiiite interesting. Dr. Choi seems like a linchpin in all of this grand scheme. Will have to wait it out to see how all this unfolds I guess.
The jaw-dropping revelations in the episode had me in shock. No kidding. My mouth was hanging open half the time during the episode. Granted the show's doing a good job of maintaining the mystery but, ugh, I hate being in the dark for so long. I can't even guess properly, the show's being such a tease :/ One minute you think you have it all figured out and then WHAM the show sends another brilliant twist at you. I'll consider it a feat if I manage to keep my sanity by the end of the series.
Although I'm not a very couple-biased drama viewer, and I always respect whatever pairing they come up with in the shows and let things work out at their own pace, I can't help but try and somehow MAKE the show bring Soo Hyun and Park Hoon together. Is that strange? I don't care if it is, just bring them together. Their scenes together? Forget the sparks, there were bloody fireworks between the two all the time. But I'm going to believe there is good in this world and for that reason alone, Soo Hyun WILL end up with Park Hoon. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy the love quadrangle that has already begun *snuggles in with a can of popcorn*
Mind boggling episode! Can't wait for more. This show makes me look forward to Monday, enough said.

Though, I AM going to admit, some instances were too illogical and unrealistic to go un-screened. But at the end, you don't think about any of that and just fervently root for Park Hoon and Jae Hee to find their way back to each other (Seriously, there should be a sane and humane limit to the number of times one can lose their loved ones). Budapest provided a beautiful backdrop for the first half of the episode, and the background music makes the moments magical. Budapest is now officially on my "Places To Visit Before I Die" list :P
I'm not especially slow when it comes to understanding whats going on, but for a few minutes, at about the 2/3rd part of the episode, I was left with a confused frown on my face and my mouth set in the "Uhhh..." mold. What went beyond me was, after the time leap, how and when did Hoon end up in a detention cell exactly? But even more than that, what bugged me senseless almost till the last 5 minutes of the episode was the fact that where exactly was Park Hoon? South Korea? North Korea? It became obvious when Secretary Kim came to check on him that he was in S.Korea but HOW IN THE WORLD DID HE END UP THERE? And Jae Hee, how'd she end up back in the N.Korea camp? Well, more than a logical flaw, I think the show wants to keep this as a mystery. Or that's what I'm telling myself and not going bonkers.
Hopefully these issues will be addressed in the later episodes. For now, I'm content with the knowledge that along with Lee Jong Suk, Park Hae Jin will be scorching my laptop screen *Wipes off drool* I absolutely cannot wait for the next episodes. I was thinking of continuing my other dramas while the next episode came out but I don't think any other drama will be able to live up to the level this drama has set in my mind. Not for a while at least.

Frankly, another couple of episodes like these and I might have to drop this drama only because I don't want to be disappointed further. The only characters that seem worth watching anymore are Soo Hyun and Dr. Moon. Heck even Han Jae Joon is bearable. Park Hoon with his unrealistic obsession with Jae Hee, Jae Hee with a her sick twisted plan in motion, and the teddy-bear pajama wearing Premier have started to get on my nerves.

Emotional turmoil, vested interests, OT drama - all this kept me on the edge of my seat in this episode. I'm absolutely exhilarated for the next week.

Finally I got to see the real hospital action I'd been missing so much. The whole NK secret mission was still incorporated in the things happening but it was just the right amount I needed after all the head-splitting confusing hints that were being dropped for the last few episodes. I can see that the next episode will be good as well.
Finished the episode with a smile on my face after a long time :)
