After watching the Chinese adaptation and reading the novels, I would say this show is really bad compared to the original material. The Chinese show was suspenseful and raw and the acting was superb. I grew up in Europe and I can say that the Chinese version actors fit more to the high school boys I had in my school and on the block. Watching the Thai version just make me laugh and cringe. It follows the story but it lacks the main characters chemistry and emotional range. The writers are trying to make it look like it's a romcom so when we have the scenes with "somewhat" abusive behaviors its hard to take it seriously at all because its so chill and the dramatics are way over the top with zero understanding of seriousness of the scene. Just a typical vanilla Thai BL. No hate for the actors, they are doing the best that they can I guess.
