WHY THE THAI VERSION ;)
Starting on a casual note, I've never had a good experience with Thai dramas, idk why but never did any drama hit THE SPOT until F4 Thailand. I'm seriously a drama activist and enjoy watching dramas but my eye always goes towards the technicalities. Putting the issue forward, for me Thai dramas always meant boring and cringey, with bad cinematography (maybe I came across bad dramas only) but F4T changed it.At first I was a little hesitant towards watching F4T since I am in love with Boys Over Flowers saga. I've literally seen every version from the old ones and the manga to now watching F4T. But when I was watching Meteor Garden (Chinese Adaptation), I felt it lost all the feels and tried to add innovation but took away the essence of the original story. Obviously, when it is an adaptation it doesn't necessarily have to be the exact copy but if you are taking away the originality of the actual story than do not call it an adaptation - which is why I was hesitant towards watching the Thai adaptation.
Now when I watched the Thai version, I was stunned. LIKE LITERALLY! BOOM!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I found it better than all the versions. Some people close to me are saying that I think this way because the Korean Boys Over Flowers was old and this is new. NO!
The way I can relate with the characters is unbelievable. For a person like me, who can't watch a thing that she just watched again, I've completed the ongoing drama 3 times now.
Q: Why do I feel like this?
Answer: Unlike many other Thai dramas, and watching the interviews of the cast and director of F4T as well as watching the drama I come to a conclusion that everyone has done their homework on the drama, not only did they bring innovation to it while keeping the originality of Boys Over Flowers, watching the drama feels like I won't know what's gonna happen next when I already know. NEVER FELT THAT BEFORE.
The casting, the setting, the characterization is spot on.
Thyme's Character:
This character is the main attraction for me, and not as Bright but as Thyme.
Originally, I found Junpyo best in this character. Imagine you have a danger meter, Lee Minho hit the red line but Bright, he hit the bright red (get it 'bright' red ;p), the fiercest line. While keeping the essence of the character, Bright played Thyme excellently; Thyme is childish and cute to the extreme level but he is also vulnerable, possessive and aggressive to the other extreme end and at the same time, he is mature unlike other first male lead characters in the other version. Can you believe having all these traits in one character in such a way that these traits don't overpower or overshadow the others? There's a perfect balance and this balance added icing to the cake and plus Bright's looks were just finishing the touches but here, I would like to appreciate him so much more than just looks. I came to this drama, thinking he doesn't suit the character, let alone look handsome, and now I'm leaving saying that this person is complete from every sphere and no one else could have played this role better than him.
Plus hat's off to the rest of the cast and the director as well as GMMTV for putting variety of issues in this drama that happen in real life. GMMTV, I'll be checking more of your dramas that will air in the future, I've seen the trailers and seem very interesting, though I won't be watching the older ones since I researched and they don't fit my taste but the upcoming ones are surely my treat. Please give me good recommendations though :).
GOODLUCK TO THE CAST AND DRAMA.
AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE PLANNING TO WATCH IT, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME READING THIS REVIEW, GO WATCH IT.

Reality Hits
Coming from the writer of 'My Mister' starring IU, I do see the similarities and I am enjoying it.Consider a scenario, I have a friend who is fond of Romances and personally loves romcoms, not that I do not but I tend to try out various genres so I would read and watch everything and anything recommended, but to my friend, I am still kind of skeptical about recommending because she might find it boring, dark and dull.
Now, that is the point. Reality hits, its boring and dark. For a person who is watching dramas for entertainment and for the sake of entertainment only and lighthearted stuff, this is not for them, but on the contrary it is definitely a MUST WATCH.
Reality and truths are not always sweet and yummy but sometimes, ridiculously bitter and this dramas shows that aspect.

Furthermore, I love the way LIBERATION is depicted in this story. Honestly, its too vague and for some it might as confusing as a difficult maths puzzle, but I entirely feel the liberation that is intended to be reciprocated in the series.
The drama is catching up and definitely growing on me.
I would also love to acknowledge Kim Jiwon, a name that always forces me to press the play icon without thinking of the story because I blindly trust her on her roles choice and I greatly admire the versatility in her portfolio.
Goodluck to the entire team!!

Healing to my Blues
I won't say much, but it is definitely worth your time.At first I didn't even plan to watch our blues, because for some reason, like it happened with 'my liberation day notes,' I thought our blues was going to have that type of vibe and I'd be bored, but I couldn't be more wrong.
STORY:
Some people might say that Our Blues covered many issues so it didn't do justice with any of the topics. Believe me, the justice this drama gave to every character, storyline couldn't have been any better, atleast in my opinion. The way this drama talked about and covered:
-People in the countryside
-Elders
-High-schoolers
-Little children
-Divorcees
-Unmarried
-Orphans
-People with depression and anxiety
-Deaf and mute
-Down Syndrome
-Friendship
-Early age pregnancy
-and so much more, that you just have to see the drama to understand the amount of treasure it holds.
CAST:
We all know that this drama contains names of the most renowned actors in the korean industry, we all know these people and we have seen a lot of their works but watching this drama didn't mix the actual actors with the characters. I think the actors did a great job in making the viewers think the characters are actually real. The way each actor gave life to their character forces me to believe that if I ever get the opportunity to visit Jeju, I would actually meet these people.
MUSIC:
'With You,' by Jimin of BTS and Ha Sungwon.
Does it need any further words.
Jokes apart, I am so happy that Jimin made his OST debut with this drama. Just BTS working for such dramas is alone enough to make me proud. Borahae <3
REWATCH:
After my exams finish, I'll definitely rewatch it with my sisters, then with my cousins and my friends.
OVERALL:
This drama made me laugh, made my cry. I hurt and got hurt with the characters and with them I healed my blues.
Just go and watch........

A Different RomCom
We all know that Thai dramas have a certain vibe and aura to their romance circle, where this drama experimented something different - which has been done by dramas of other countries but not in Thailand - it did make me leave with a happy heart.Obviously the story is a cliché but not the type of cliché that would make you puke and drop the series. Though you feel like you know what's gonna happen next, you still watch it. A love story between two friends - now that is something we suckers love to watch and with the casting so fun and all good-looking, there is nothing that stops you from watching it.
But while watching such dramas, the question that arises is whether this drama will be a waste of my time or not?
This is a very controversial question, but I'd say that the answer depends upon two things:
1. Your Personal Temperament:
If you feel like you can't watch cheesy clichés and stories where everything is just so predictable. Don't watch it. But if its in your mood and guilty pleasure, this is just perfect.
2. The Moment:
I know this may sound weird but let me explain giving my own example. I'm actually a weird person. There are certain times when I hate clichés and I'm like, "When the hell would people stop writing them," but then the other times I go like, "Oh god I live for clichés and writers don't stop." So it all depends on the moment and mood. When I watched 46 I was in the mood of watching the most typical romcom, something lighthearted, something Thai but not having the usual Thai type of romance and so I went on with it and thoroughly enjoyed.
Again, this is short and this review might make you more confused about watching than you were before, but read it again and you'll get your answer. Watching and re-watching is something I'll leave to you.
