The Meaning of Youth
What does youth really mean? Is it about making the most of your time, or maximizing your investment for the future? This drama depicts the weight of the choices we have in life. What I love about this drama is the sheer world-building it has. The characters and relationships that exist in this drama is entertaining enough for me to get hyped every single week and feel tons of emotions while watching it. No boring scenes, just pure entertainment. Yoon Chan Young’s acting is soooooo sooo damn good!!!! His eyes tell a lot!!! Damn those eyes!!!! Undeniably, school kdramas are really my fave genre in dramas and movies!!!!!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Crazily well-executed nature of society
It’s rare for a drama to make me bingewatch it but Pyramid Game SEALED the deal. It SERVED the right amount of thrill, drama, craziness, and realistic portrayal of human nature. Yes Soo Jin, you’re right. Humans are bound to be selfish! The pacing is good and there are no boring scenes. I just love how each and every main characters brings some SPICE on to the table. Every episode leaves you craving for more, which led me to bingewatch straight 10 episodes in one day.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Emotionally grappling
The intricate relationships between the characters, the raw emotions portrayed, and the intense conflicts they face make the story captivating and thought-provoking. The way the characters navigate through their challenges, support each other through thick and thin, and ultimately find strength in their unity is truly inspiring. The story delves deep into the complexities of human nature, the power of friendship, and the resilience needed to overcome life's obstacles. It is a rollercoaster of emotions that will keep you on the edge of your seat, eagerly anticipating what will happen next.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Simple drama done right, executed well
Both actors are doing a very good job at showing on-screen how their relationship and their feelings are evolving. My heart ached for Gi Tae when he panicked for fearing Wan had disappeared once again off the face of the earth. I could feel the emotions that he was going through – the anxiety, the fear, the anger, and even the despair after he ran through the streets screaming out for Wan-ah. And at that point, he was really breaking inside, and his fear did not immediately translate into relief upon finding herself standing beside Wan. He was still reeling and if anything even more broken in spirit as he pulled Wan close- as if he needed to physically hold him there and as if he himself needed comfort from the other’s company.
That was one of those scenes that really knocked my socks off and was executed commendably well. It was very realistic how Wan reacted too. He has just returned from handling an emergency and is rather occupied for the time being. It is just him walking home like it is any other day but when he sees Gi Tae crying there is something wrong, he does not know what. It was evident that one could see the helpless confusion and distress in his eyes and then the gradual dawn of understanding about how deep-seated Gi Tae’s fear of abandonment is, and the remorse felt by the latter for the fact that he is the cause of such fear. In the first waves of the drama, Gi Tae has depicted himself to be a cool office senior who could hardly bat an eyelash at seeing his would-be lover for the first time after 7 long years, who showed no fear, and least of all, would likely to let his guard down pouring and sobbing into the arms of Wan. It should be no surprise that this show is highly recommended. Like its characters, plot and relationships, everything was lovable, especially the chemistry between the main characters and the efficient dealing of the misunderstandings in terms of confrontation.

“Open Your Eyes”
Well, it is true that Maya’s lessons are realistically needed for the future of the students and how they would navigate their surroundings in the future. The narrative of the story where it focuses on Maya prioritizing her students mainly causes a heartwarming touch to the narrative. But most of the time and episodes, gave me an unsettling and uncomfortable watch. Mainly because the drama focuses on the harsh truth of society brought upon to these growing children. The system is insensitive, unhealthy, and encourages bashful eye-opener for the sake of learning. Nevertheless, the ending made me shed many tears, especially because school/youth dramas are my cup of tea.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

It’s not what you think it is
If you’re looking for a thrill-filled and suspenseful movie, then you’re in the wrong place. The movie focuses more on the psychological reflection and aspects of life. Simultaneously discussing diverse human situations with regards to the choice of life or death, while navigating through the characters’ interactions with each other and how they collectively decide their choices.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Funny, Action-Packed, and Fun-Filled
I want more, more, MORE! Honestly, this could’ve been so so million times amazing if this were a series but nevertheless, the movie is standalone good. The direction and execution is good. Acting is topnotch. I love the relationships and interactions of the characters. The world-building is definable. The story knows what it is and what it WANTS. If the direction is supposed to be comedic and fun, then it is served right. If the direction is supposed to be serious and dramatic, then it also served with proper justice. This is the perfect movie to watch to let your brain loose and enjoy a heart-warming antic-filled portrayal of youth, action, and life.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Simple youth drama done right
The story was neither super unique nor groundbreaking, it’s just a simple making friends (and love interests) and the complexities of relationships around them. What I liked about this drama is the existence of “layers” and “depth” which can be observed from the subtle interactions, the storyline’s twists and turns, the dialogues of the characters’ and the depth portrayed from how the plot goes. Namgoong’s character is one of the most interesting and well-written characters I’ve ever seen in a youth drama. He is someone who KNOWS the deal, and STIRS the pot because he knows something is going to be brewing. He makes his efforts as a friend, and he also knows his place/role in their circle. Salute to you man!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
A well-told story of life, youth, romance
Such a good, mixed-emotions, well-rounded, and emotionally captivating drama! I will definitely miss the main and supporting characters! I didn’t give it a perfect score because of the story being dragged from episode 10 onwards. Nonetheless, I love how the plot is written and how the characters interact with each other, also love the subplots that coexist!!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Truly wholesome and inspirational work of art
If you’re looking for themes of hope, inspiration, and harsh realistic lessons of life, then this drama is for you. The music resonates with me so much that a lot of diverse emotions start to combine and create chemistry in my brain, heart, and soul while watching the drama. Ran Joo’s writing is the BEST for me as she is portrayed VERY realistically and relatably as she depicts true human nature where there are times that we have contrasting choices and priorities in life. This drama is the perfect portrayal of “When life gives you lemons, make a lemon juice.”Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Life, Youth, Living
Friendship, youth, and school dramas are my cup of tea. The story’s plot and flow is just the right pace and direction but I would want to see more of the two male main leads’ friendship/bromance than the romance part of Yeo Jun and So Bin, so there are times that I skip the couple’s romance parts because their chemistry isn’t my cup of tea. Nevertheless, the story is realistic and tackles real life issues that relates with youth, school, adulting, harsh truths of life, and the nature of friendship. (Park Ji Hoon’s acting is wayyyy too good he deserves more lead roles, his back must be heavy after carrying the heavy load of acting in this drama)Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
