After reading the synopsis of the movie, I was ready for an horrible movie, just a way to continue in a stupid way a popular series, but I'm glad I was wrong. The story just closes the whole series in an awesome way, learning what the cast has become after the first movie, but you'll have to wait the second half of the movie to have some quality. The new characters are either useless, like the american baseball team (it would have been a lot better without it) or really good, like the instructor, Sugimoto. The music doesn't change, they just added a new song. So overall, even though the first half doesn't have the feeling of the series, the second half just makes up for that kind of emptiness, so don't worry about the synopsis and just give it a try.
