Both Taiwan BL's. Both enemies to lovers. Has the same vibes in terms of filming style. The leads are gorgeous. It's obvious that one lead is smitten from the start while the other thinks he has feelings for someone else.

Both film are very similar. Gender is reversed though. Both leads are children when they are taken in by a corrupt group of people they grow to treat like family. Both grow up to call the head of the family mother/farther. Both turn on their families. China town is a lot more brutal in my opinion. A monster boy, he actually grows up with people caring about him, which really added to the movie in my opinion.

It's the Chinese movie remake from 2014. Follows the same plot, he's seeking revenge on the mother who abandoned him. Falls in love but he's only got so long to live. It is a movie so there will be a lot missing and may be rushed.

A team of detectives solve crimes, has its comedic moments; there's a continuous mystery running throughout, revolving around the male leads family and has a touch of romance.
