Storytelling that takes risks
Exquisitely directed with sumptuous and poetic writing. Watch to the end of episode 4 to understand the real dilemma at play for these characters. This drama shows such maturity about two adults falling in love. I was left breathless by the confession scene. All the romance gently unfurls from the yearning by the FL and subsequent grovelling/ chasing by ML (he’s such a dummy over her). The one fail was early kiss scenes are clumsy (for romance reasons) but I hope it doesn’t send too many away from watching on. Although, when will cdrama writers discover that intimacy co-ordinators exist and unsolicited kisses can move the conflict forward without being semi-violent?! Nevertheless, this drama has shot to the top of my ‘best of 2023’ list with a bullet. I feel the pay off will be in last eps when we see what reaching ‘10/10 level’ love really means. Kisses lacked any feeling
Some very clever writing here and delicious characters. Only a few brief lip-touch kisses with no passion or energy which is really disappointing when the rest of the tension is handled so well.That said, I binged it in two days because they keep you waiting for those last few episodes to resolve the drama. I hate storylines where all the conflict is sorted too soon and the rest is just writers treading water to the final episode. If kisses had been more passionate (and more of them!) this would’ve been a 10/10 for me.

Brilliant romantic comedy
This story of a woman going back in time to ‘solve’ her present life, including her contentious relationship with her boss, is so well made and cleverly written. It brings together all of the best romantic tropes of office romance and college drama but delivers them in surprising and delightful ways. It has huge emotional moments mixed with a lot of laughs. Our heroine is smart, kind and determined (sometimes ruthless) whilst our hero is upright, devoted and shrewd. I’m only at episode 14 but I can’t wait to see how they reconcile the changes she’s experiencing once she returns to the present. I’m loving this drama!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
