I thought it won't top Mr. Queen but it actually did!
This drama is really a hardcore one. It forcefully tells us that time is not something you can just mess up with. You can use and do everything but still ends up with the same conclusion. It is an endless loop, a never-ending cycle.Have almost watched every dramas with Time-Slip/Time travel concepts. Be it in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Taiwanese, etc. Just name it 😅 Actually it's one of my favorite genres in dramas since it often requires analyzation and thinking when you watch them.
Someday or One Day is that specific drama which has a solid storyline and well-detailed plot. Others may have tragic loopholes that will leave the viewers hanging but this one has successfully closed all of its loopholes by using mind-blowing plot twists. You thought you're already correct in one part but it's actually not and I am one of those victims.
We all know what's Butterfly Effect in time travel concepts and SOD has carefully laid and emphasized it all throughout the series.
The characters played their roles perfectly. A cassette tape recording that started everything is not your usual thing. The soundtracks are so beautiful such as SHI SHI's Someday or One Day.
I won't give any spoilers so I don't know what you are waiting for. Just start watching this OUTSTANDING DRAMA and find it out yourself if it's good or bad. 👌

This sh*t made me cry ?
I don't wanna drag this review for too long. I just wanna say that this drama is highly recommended especially for time-slip fanatics out there. This is the second time-slip drama of Patrick that I've watched. The first one is Someday Or One Day and it's on the top of my list right now. I gave my full length review for that one so go ahead and check it out. While SOOD has a heavy and mind-blowing plot about time, First Love Again gives us the light rom-com genre. FLA is not that deep to be understood since it has a cliché storyline. Yes, there will be loopholes and cliff-hangers on the plot but the actors supplements it with their superb skills in acting and make it more interesting. It starts with a light story but it also has its own serious moments particularly in the last episode which made me cry, like for real. 😭I should not tackle that here and you wouldn't want me to give you spoilers , right?

It is in the middle of good and bad
As a fan of dramas (whatever language it is), I have watched different storylines or you can say many of them even have identical build-ups. In this particular drama, I could say it has its own positive feels but at the same time it also has negative sides.Story
First of all, I like how fun and light this drama is. It can be easily loved by people especially the newbies in the Kdrama world. The plot is not complicated to be understood. It is typical for Korean dramas to be laid down this way and we call it clichés. Daily lives of high school students who try their best on coping up with their grading marks and lessons.
But the catch on the story is the discrimination in the female lead's physical appearance. And antagonist students do this in the way of bullying. No matter where you go, that kind of discrimination is really not that uncommon. The solution that the female lead thought of is through the use of make-up or cosmetics. Well, her mother kind of tried to consult with a Plastic Surgeon but changed her mind afterwards. This is the fundamental difference if I were to compare it to My ID is Gangnam Beauty.
Acting/Cast
At first, I watched this entirely because of Eun Woo. As an Aroha, I can't let this slip away from my watchlist, can I? But the additional team up with Ga Young and In Yeop? Definitely a new and fun team-up. I first saw Ga Young in Princess Hours which was way back 2007. She started off with supporting roles but slowly went to main ones such as in Great Seducer. She's a great actress for sure. Her expressions are in synch with Ju Kyung's role.
Secondly, In Yeop is a really perfect casting for second lead role with antagonistic behavior. Not that I am saying he is only good for being a second lead, he will also slay a main lead tho. I would like to ask this since I am here giving a review, how can he have that kind of face when he's a freakin' 30 years old? 😭 I think South Korea is the only country that can pull this off? Giving a 30-year old with a high school student role.
Thirdly, Eun Woo's acting skills are definitely improving. Besides him, we know so many Idols who have great compatibility with acting such as INFINITE's L, GOT7's Jinyoung, and EXO's D.O. Eun Woo as Lee Su Ho is perfect. He's great at portraying tsundere-type of main leads. Showing poker faces at all times and rarely smiles? It's just a walk in the park for him. Someone can say he is bad at expressing emotions but for me it's exactly the opposite. Outside of acting, he's a cheerful and funny guy.
Last but not the least, the supporting roles such as Ju Kyung's family is composed of great actors for romcom dramas such as this. But we won't forget Kang Soo Jin here. She's a badass character. She got temporarily on the wrong path but stood up and strongly faced all consequences.
Music
The OSTs for the drama are so good especially In Yeop's version of Missing You. The feels are everywhere. Starlight by SF9's Chani and Ha Sung Woon's Fall In You are in my Top 3 picks for the drama as well.
Overall, I'm only gonna rate this as 8.5 because such storyline already exists and there's nothing new except for the setting and line-up of actors. If your preferences include light stories, romcom or school dramas, this is definitely your cup of tea.

One of the best Cdramas out there!!
First of all, I was so hooked on watching this drama that I didn't want to reach the last episode 😅. Like for real. I even delayed my time to watch every episode just to calm down my hype for the next episode. Now you know why I gave this an overall perfect score of 10.I watched so many Cdramas that I could conclude that most of them have better ending scenes than Kdramas. I commend them for that aspect.
The characters are so good on portraying their roles. Vivian definitely gave a fresh take on her role as Xiao'en. I like how she's not mostly over-acting. Being in a parallel dimension like in books, the FL tends to be more aggressive and don't mind the consequences of her actions. Xiao'en is a smart and wise character. On the other hand, Marcus also did a great job on his role as the overbearing CEO, Aoran/Tianxing. The drama has successfully differentiated Aoran from Tianxing in terms of personality and behaviour (referencing Ep 20) and I can give it a pass since they didn't just forcefully conclude that both characters is only one. It shows two sides of the same coin.
Now let's talk about the OSTs. I love all of the songs but Marcus' "Talk To Me" has surpassed all of them 👌 The emotions of his voice in the song give more feels everytime it plays during his lovey-dovey moments with Xiao'en.
Lastly, I'm so satisfied with the ending. A good story should end with a good ending. That's should be the rule. When I say "good ending", it means no cliff-hangers, unexplained details in the plot and no loopholes that can leave you confused. I love how they didn't forget Qing Feng to have a closure with his first love. Well, it's thanks to the loyalty of Xiao'en that he can now disappear peacefully and without regrets.
I highly recommend this drama and that's not up for any debates!! 🔥
