*Objectively I think this is a 8.5 but the amount of feels the drama gave me don't let me give this anything less than a 9*
I wanna be a sup'tar was such a nice coincidence for me. I found about this drama thanks to a fan video on Youtube and decided to give it a try after watching the great chemistry between the leads. I was not disappointed. Actually what made this show so enjoyable and addicting to me were the leads. Their chemistry was so strong and their story was so beautiful and funny to see.
The way they meet and how the relationship develops is nothing new in Dramaland (it's a common formula known by everyone) but it works during 26 episodes just fine. I never felt the need to skip although not every character was loveable or nice, I never felt bored, I was genuinely invested in our leads stories, especially in our heroine's story. She was my favorite character of the show, she was funny, quirky and crazy and Gypso did a great job protraying her. Also our male lead, he was (of course) breathtakingly handsome, funny, and he was also crazy (in his own way) not as much as our female lead tho hehe.
Something I loved about this drama so much was that we could truly see how much they loved each other and how strong their love grew. Specially with the male lead, what he did for love and how he changed for love was beautiful to see. He really loved her a lot. I also loved the cohabitation trope. This was like a mix between Full House and Personal Taste.
The side characters were perfect in my opinion. They had the right amount of screentime and interaction with our leads. The actors did an amazing job with everyone. The villian was on point (he was a crazy one but on point) The cinematography and the places were beautiful to see too. Also the ost was just right.
I'm 100% sure that I will rewatch this soon. (maybe right after finishing this review lol) And I recommend this to anyone wanting a light rom com with great chemistry.
