I joined MDL because I was dying to comment on the The Long Ballad whilst watching the drama.   I'd been  hovering around for some weeks prior to that.   I realised that writing comments was an ideal way to improve my memory which has deteriorated  due to being an insomniac of many decades.  

Although I watch mainly British programmes,  I've also been enjoying Asian dramas and films for more than a couple of decades now.   First I watched  with my siblings then with my children.  I got the bug after watching two BBC dubbed Japanese series called 'The Water Margin and 'Monkey'.   Favourite genres are fantasy, action, murder mysteries and pacey thrillers  but I'll watch anything as long as it grips me from early on;   oh yes..... I need some sort of romance in these genres.... but not always.    My watch list consists of some of what I have watched over the years and I will add to it as I remember more titles buried deep in my memory.
