SHARK was a disappointment for me, from the way the story was explained I thought it would be quite interesting but I was wrong sadly.
What I liked about this drama was Mizuki, I hated yet loved him because of his attitude, he became the only interesting part of the drama and the only reason I managed to finish it. I also really liked the music, the songs were catchy, I found myself knowing parts of "Keep walking" by the end of it because they sang it so much.
Every episode they thought they we're progressing but no, something else went wrong >_< well I guess that's why they're called dramas, but it was a little annoying how they had these new problems arise every episode out of nowhere.
I don't really know how I feel about the drama, it was hit and miss, (mostly miss) I think if they had developed they story more and made it more interesting then it would have had a lot more potential.

I liked the funny factor of this film, it made me keep watching instead of just dropping it, I wanted to find out what would happen to Yeonhwa
her character interested me, she isn't very good with people, she gets angry if people tell her how to look or act, and she takes kissing seriously, asking about how to do it and practicing in weird ways.
Kyeonghee's character was annoying and desperate, I didn't like her at all through the whole movie she was just annoying.
I think overall this movie wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either, I enjoyed it though, which is obviously a positive but I'm not sure how others would react to it.

The Wedding Day 1956
The Wedding Day is a fascinating film to watch, it was the first Korean film to win an international award which is something that drew my attention to it along with it being a 1950s Korean film. The plot is fun and interesting, a family gets the opportunity to become in-laws with a prestigious family from the Bellflower Valley, Jinsa Maeng brags about marrying off his only daughter Gap Bun to the son of this family Mi Eon, however a rumour begins to go around that Mi Eon has a disability (they call him a cripple), due to this Master Maeng starts to wonder if he should marry off his only daughter to this 'cripple', the hatch a plan to instead marry off the maid Ip Bun who was promised to their servant Sam Dol. It's quite entertaining when the tides change and it turns out that Mi Eon is not a 'cripple' and Master Maeng has to marry off his servant anyway as he can't get his daughter back for the wedding in time.
I found the film to be quite an easy and entertaining watch and would recommend to anyone wanting to explore 1950s Korean cinema.

Under the Sky of Seoul 1961
Under the Sky of Seoul is a fascinating look into Seoul in the early 1960s, the opening scene shows us an aerial view of the city of Seoul, you can see how large Namsan looks compared to how it looks in modern day Seoul, in 1961 there are very few multi story buildings which is fascinating to see as Seoul is now filled with skyscrapers. The story is pretty generic for the time period, rival families in the area, it's very interesting to see the traditional medicine vs. western medicine argument as Kim Hak Gyu practices traditional medicine whilst Dr. Choi is a doctor of modern medicine, operations vs acupuncture and herbs vs pills.
The character of Kim Hak Gyu is a very stubborn man who seems to pay little attention to what his family and those around him want and focuses on his own needs and desires, this leads to a lot of family tensions as his son unhappily leaves to find a job to provide for himself and the family he wants to have, and his daughter is in love with Dr. Choi who is Kim's rival. The story plays out well, as much as Kim Hak Gyu drove me insane I did enjoy the film overall, there was some comedic value to it too. If you want a look into the past at 1960s Seoul this is a good place to look.
