Good start

It started off well, with a good pacing and a brief introduction of the main characters through flash-backs. The story is interesting and the action scenes are great. I didn't feel that the bad CGI took anything away from a good episode, but the sub-titles were quite a mess. Therefore only 9/10 for me.

Common sense in a sinkhole

The cave rescue was at the centre of this episode and sadly the writers' notion of common sense fell into a sinkhole, too. How can one of the people trapped in the cave develop a lung infection within half a day (without being exposed to any extreme conditions)? Even at the risk of hypothermia, wouldn't diving out be better than being drowned by rising water levels. This decision made absolutely no sense at all!Fortunately the actors made up for these obivous flaws in the script. DingDing playing the corporate game was another thing to admire in this episode.

Rainy rescue

Luo Ben is having a hard time to fully integrate into the team. With his family issues finally resolved he can fully invest himself in a rescue mission., but will it be enough to gain the team's respect?

Relationships

Another episode with a heavy focus on the interpersonal relationships between the main characters. As the relationship between Zhan Yan and Luo Ben inches forward in slow motion, Xiong Fei struggles with the decision he has to make. MingMing discovers that rescue work may not be as glorious as he was hoping...

Choices

An episode with heavy focus on the personal relationships between the main characters and the choices that they have to make. After a set-back Zhou MingMing has to make up his mind whether to stay on the team, Luo Ben still struggles whether to accept his sister's relationship and Xiong Fei has to decide whether he is able to sacrifice something dear to him for his relationship with Luo Yuan. After she was able to give up on her dream to study abroad in the blink of an eye, it will be interesting to see if he can do the same for her...

The empty fridge speaks for itself

Tough times between the Luo siblings. When his would-be girlfriend doesn't text him back Xiong Fei closes his shop for the day and so indirectly proves that he doesn't have what it takes to run a business. Some really good acting in the emotional parts. The sofa scene was really sweet and the post-it trail was a very funny idea.

Focus on the couples

The three couples are at the centre of this episode. After playing the demanding boss for a few episodes MingMing suddenly finds their roles reversed. The result was quite funny.Luo Yuan and Xiong Fei are moving a step closer even though officially it's not a relationship yet. Luo Ben shows his vulnerable side (and his cooking skills) which seems to melt the ice around Zhan Yan.

Important decisions

This is another rather emotional episode. Some of the main characters make important decisions which can be understood based on the previous episode. The way the scenes are cut in this episode is kind of confusing. Based on the training scenes it looks like they happened over several days, but based on the Luo Yuan's absence from home it couldn't have been more than a day or else her brother would have freaked.

Tragedy strikes

As tragedy stikes the rescue team the show explores the relationships between main and some side characters. This episode is very emotional and I like the way this drama takes its time and this moments favours atmosphere over action. Some people may find a bit slow (especially when compared to American dramas) but I like the fact that for each character we get the time to understand their back-story.

Exploring relationships

The focus of this episode is almost entirely on the relationships between the three (future) couples. It has quite a few very funny moments. We discover that our arrogant lawyer is actually rather gauche when it comes to preparing for a date. The Luo sister continues her stalking act which I find borderline obnoxious. The comic writer and her "boss" continue their bickering which always lightens up the mood.

It was a good start. The episode was nicely paced and provided a first introduction of the main characters.I especially liked the music.
