You had me at what happened to pops!
Based on a recommendation, I decided to watch this drama. WOW! Fantastic! I have to say the main roles played by Han So Hee, Park Hee Soon and Ahn Bo Hyun were indeed delicious to watch. Typically, this is not my go to genre but I was blown away! So much the case I watched all eight episodes in one setting. A special bravo to Park Hee Soon. Man … it’s a joy watching his subtle yet on point non-verbal communication skills. His character had me at go! What an incredible actor! All three main actors did a great job. Han So Hee’s eyes have incredible depth in portraying emotions. For me personally, she never disappoints. I am new to watching Park Hee Soon. Not just a handsome face ... serious acting chops. Looking forward to watching more of him. Overall excellent script, acting, the car chases just plain fun to watch nail biting moments. A big shout out to the music department on the musical score. Very in line with this drama. Just a sheer joy ride! I highly recommend this drama!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Come on folks!
What is up with all you haters?! Being a "mature woman of years" <--- HAHAHAHA I am really enjoying and appreciating this series. I find the interplay between the steps taken at the national weather service station (when attempting to predict weather) as a very fitting backdrop alongside how we, as humans, attempt to predict our love lives. For most of us there always seems to be the mindset that past behavior can often predict future outcomes. And yes, in some ways, that is the case but in many other ways .. it causes such havoc! I can relate to the character Jin Ha Kyung. Cautious due to the past but unable to deny what her heart feels. Lee Shi Woo also struggles going against his character of being bold with what his heart feels. I love his youthful passion wrapped in sensitivity. He simply loves and has no issues expressing such to Jin Ha Kyung. I love that Han Ki Joon and Chae Yoo Jin ideals of married life are truly not the reality of such. Is is just me that finds it halarious that these amazing Korean dramas have given us viewers such an unrealistic view of true love .. we all have drunk that punch and continue to do so! I truly enjoy all the characters of this series as well as the actors who portray them. If you are looking for over the top dramatics (which I also enjoy) nope not goint to find it here. But if you are looking at how life can be, the reality of what love can look ... at times amazing and somtimes a true comedy of errors ..this show is it. For me, it's a solid time of enjoyment. Then again, I’m a sucker for love ‘winning’!! Everyone else … jeez lighten up!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

For me Fated portrayed a women's growth from submissive, lacking confidence, weak willed to a strong powerful woman who eventually made her own fate and decided who she wanted to love. Both the main leads really grew up and learned to understand and more importantly respect one another. In this drama I felt the reverse happened to Fu An's character.
Side note: Also I was enamored with Yan Yang's character (Xiu Jie Kai) SOO freaking adorable combined with a dose of hotness. I wish they had given us more backstory to his character.
Overall it was not a terrible drama just not one I will be watching again.

Give the show a try!
Some in my drama crew aka "D-Squad GALs"are pure loyalist and refuse to watch any version of an original K-Drama series. I've never fallen into that category. Watching a remake from a difference country is interesting to me because it allows me to catch glimpses of the heartbeat of that country i.e. social norms, humor, food (especially since I'm a major foodie) and always.. always .... THE MUSIC (hey I'm Brazilian .. how can I not LOVE MUSIC!!) .. yep the overall vision of their version of a classic is interesting. Such a great opportunity to experience how different countries put their spin on an original."Another Miss Oh" IS INDEED a classic in my top 20 best K-Dramas, so it would be difficult to stand toe to toe with the original. That being said, I'll truly make an effort to watch a re-make without the lingering thoughts of "why would they do that" or "that's not part of the original version", etc.
As a stand alone, I actually enjoyed this version. The entire cast, in my opinion, did a great job portraying their characters esp. the leads Yong Anusorn Maneeted as Naii and Green Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul s Ploy --> known as the "not so pretty version" --> although the actress Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul is gorgeous in my eyes.
I thought the main leads chemistry was very good i.e. the push and pull of budding feelings for each other, I especially enjoyed watching Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul's performance. She was spot on as Ploy. Awkward, unsure and self depreciating sprinkled with moments of boldness but always kind. How could one not fall in love with this character.
Ok, let's get this out now .. being a woman, I have to confess, I could not take my eyes off of actor Anusorn Maneeted as Naii. That man is stunning (WHEW fanning myself). I checked out his profile and noticed he has been in a lot of dramas so he is definitely one to watch. In all honestly I felt his portrayal of character Naii was a bit too bland for me, almost underplayed. Even still .. the chemistry between the two main leads was very much on point. An actors should not been known for one project but the body of their work, so I always attempt to watch an array of their projects to get a good feel for what I consider their talent level.
As a side note actress Waratthaya Wongchayaporn as the "pretty" Ploy is stunning. Sadly I felt her acting in this role was a bit bland and stiff but I'm going to see what other projects she has been involved in.
The major joy for me in this drama was the music! Being a singer myself, I'm always drawn to singers as well as musical scores. BEAUTIFUL! I hope they have a full album available to download on line. Just loved the music in this drama!
Overall, I agree with the rating of 7.5. Re-watch, not quite on my top repeat list but definitely for those raining days when I'm in need for a light rom-com.
I'll end with I wish the very best for all involved in this drama. Hopefully many future projects in their future which allow for growth in their craft. Much love. :)

Now that I have completed this series I took some time to evaluate my feelings about the top three amazing women of WWW. This is mostly a character review vs. plot. I must say the main three female characters represented parts of me that I understood and sympathized with. Did anyone else feel the same?Bae Ta-mi (Tammy) was played beautifully by Im Soo-jung I am a big fan of Im Soo-jung and her acting never disappoints! As the plot developed I became very invested in her character. Her story line was very similar to my life experience. My significant other is quite a bit younger than I. At the time we met (over 10+ years ago) I, like Tammy, had the same fears of our age difference and how that would impact his life/future. Also, like Tammy, I was/am a professional working woman with no desire to marry. This is not a statement that professional working women tend to stay clear of marriage just what my personal feelings have been. In today's society I believe no matter what country you reside in there is still the basic premise that women are expected to marry in order to gain/obtain their identify. If not married than what are you as a women and what is your place in society? To me, it's an old concept that thankfully is gradually changing. Marriage IS a wonderful institution but I believe it's not an exclusive state to be in in order to be with 'your person'. A lot of what Tammy struggled through really ran true to me. In my case I broke the relationship up as well suggesting he needed to experience life and other relationships to truly decide what was best for him. Happily we realized that we truly loved each other and wanted to be in this world as a couple! If Tammy appeared cold and unaffected by her relationship with Park Morgan I believe she held back her love for what she saw as the greater good ... seeing him happy and not disappointed in his choices. Morgan had his own trauma with the most important woman of his life his "mom" and the abandonment he felt by her. Tammy was very sensitive to that and I truly believe her character wanted the best for him even knowing how much she grew to love him. To me, the way in which their story developed was very real and truthful. Sometimes love means letting someone go to search for their happiness and sometimes they never return ... and that is a very frightening risk.
Cha Hyeon (Scarlett) reminded me of my younger self. Bold in so many ways yet hesitant and shy when uncertain. Loyal to a fault and a champion of all champions! Her character reminds me a what a true friendship should be .. even when you know that person may be making a terrible mistake you give them your opinion but you still stand by their side. Her utter fierceness mixed with vulnerability was beautiful played by Lee Da-hee. I must say De-hess is an absolutely beautiful woman and every time she was on the screen I found myself fan-girling! Luckily it was not too distracting because she played her character ON POINT! I love the fact even if she did not understand the circumstances of her friend's decisions she STUCK BY THEIR SIDE. That is how my true friends have been in my life and I'm very lucky to have found them.
Song Ga-kyeong was a very complicated character for me mostly due to my frustration regarding the choices she kept making. Part of me wanted to strangle her and I found myself yelling out "WHAT ARE DOING?!" many times to her behavior. That subtle, restrained, outwardly tough character acted out by Jeon Hye-jin was brilliant. Ga-kyeong is that women faced with formidable decisions which she does not shy away from. For me she represented the difficult choices working women still face today especially the issue of loyalty to work, family or self. Sometimes they seem mutually exclusive. Tough choices but ultimately decided by her so in the end her choices her responsibility.
Overall to me the one one word that came to mind in regards to this drama .... 'decisions'. Decisions for yourself, your life as well as your loves. Processional work place decisions as well as personal ones. Both highly impacting your life and those in your life.
Wonderful drama I highly recommend it!
SHOW STOPPER. Ok the lead up to and including the car smashing screen was EPIC! A great homage to "Goblin".. power women version. LUV'D IT!!! It was refreshing to see that yes we women blow up as well and want physical release. We want to smash things too!! Love the satisfaction that scene brought me... no regret, remorse or apologies. EPIC!!
FINAL THOUGHT: Yes I only focused on the women of this drama but it was so refreshing to see women strong/soft, complex and united. It reminds me of my GF squad. I hope the Kdrama industry picks up on this theme and runs with it!!!
