The bonds of brotherhood
The Faceless Boss: The Untold Story is oriented around the bond of brotherhood and warm family hierarchy relationship. The movie in no boring and slow moving, shows the gentler and kinder gangster families and how the gang members are taking care of each other while serving time in the penitentiary. It is very touching movie but it is filmed in mostly gloomy scenography to accentuate the distressing gangster life. The gangster members are trying to encourage high school students to stay away from troubles and discourage youngsters from becoming members of a gangster. The dewy-eyed actor Chun Jung Myung acts so well as a dignified junior Boss Gwon Sang Gon, and multifaceted dashing actor Jin Yi Han is his loyal Consigliere Goo Chul Ho. The Faceless Boss: The Untold Story and entertaining movie to watch for the whole family.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
A heartwarming family love story
It is heartwarming to watch “Golden Pouch”. The lead characters, Dr. Han Seok-Hoon (portrayed by Actor Jin Yi Han/Kim Ji Han) and Ms. Geum Seol-Hwa (portrayed by Actress Ryu Hyo Young/Jung Woo Yeon) portray pure love, a match made in heaven. The lead characters Dr. Han and Ms. Geum have a remarkable on-screen chemistry that is second to none; the best couple so far in any K-dramas. One could feel instantly the on-screen chemistry brewing when the lead characters meet by the river in the city of Namwon on the first episode in “Golden Pouch”. The initial appearance of the lead character Dr. Han on the river side makes one’s heart flutter. There are so many heart wrenching episodes, especially when the dumpling store was destroyed by bad "untrue" comments on the internet, The screenwriter is very skillful in resolving heart wrenching issues. Every episode in "Golden Pouch" has an ending that leaves audience in suspense. It is worth waiting. All lead/supporting actors and actresses perform so well, notably Mr. Ahn Nae Sang that portrays character Geum Jung Do, the dumpling store owner. He seems to lead and works as a catalyst to make the story so engaging. The characters that are involved in the multifaceted love triangle convey the pain they feel so vividly. The audience could almost palpate the intense pain of Dr. Han in loving Seol Hwa, the tender love between Seol Hwa and Dr. Han, the hatred of Bae Min Hee toward Seol Hwa, and the want and desire of Yoon Jun Sang/Kang Shil Woo to have Seol Hwa by any means. It is worth noted too that Actor Jin Yi Han/Kim Ji Han that portrays Dr. Han Soek Hoon character conveys all different dimensions of emotions from an arrogant genius cardio thoracic surgeon (Dr. Han Seok Hoon), to a man that loses his memory, to a man that feels the pain of loving Miss Geum Seol Hwa (the love of his life), to a man that almost loses Miss Geum Seol Hwa to heart failure. Actress Ryu Hyo Young/Jung Woo Yeon that portrays Geum Seol Hwa is fun to watch and really engaging from episode 1 to episode 122 in “Golden Pouch”, her creative acting performance is exceptional in showing the different phases of Seol Hwa emotion. I hope actress Jung Woo Yeo/Ryu Hyong Young will find many good scripts in the future and bloom in her acting performance. Salute to Kim Dae-jin, the director and also to Lee Hye-sun, the writer of "Golden Pouch", it is a beautiful story. I hope MBC would make "Golden Pouch" season II to conclude the story.
However, the ending is an open-ended story; the audience are left to draw their own conclusions for each character from what is shown on the concluding episode. I must say “Golden Pouch” is truly an unforgettable heartwarming K-drama series with beautiful original sound tracks. Salute to Kim Dae-jin, the director and also to Lee Hye-sun, the writer of "Golden Pouch", and the editing/music/sounds department, it is a beautiful story. I hope MBC would make "Golden Pouch" season II to conclude the story.

A loving husband and a doting father
"Narco Saints" is not my cup of tea kind of drama series, but I was attracted to watch the series since "Narco Saints" is loosely based on a true story and the cast are all top actors and I really like their performance in the movies.Kang In Gu (portrayed by actor Ha Jung Woo) is a good son from a poor hard-working family. When he is in school, he takes up Judo so that he is provided with meals to eat. Eventually, he is very good in Judo. However, he is left alone to take care of his two younger siblings when his parents die. He works hard to provide for his younger siblings, and he decides to marry any girls so that the wife could help him clean the house. A girl, Hye Jin (portrayed by Choo Ja Hyun) answers his letter, and they get married, the have blissful wedded life with two children.
In Gu's childhood friend, Park Eung Soo (portrayed by Hyun Bong Shik) tells him about Suriname and they could do business in importing skate fish. Much to his wife's chagrin, In Gu goes to Suriname, and starts a trading skate trading company and meets Pastor Jeon Yo Hwan (portrayed by Hwang Jung Min). His first shipment to Korea is ruined since the fish are stuffed with cocaine. In Gu is incarcerated for two years for "smuggling" cocaine that he does not commit. While in prison, he is approached by NIS agent, Choi Chang Ho (portrayed by Park Hae Soo). Agent Choi wants him to be his field informant and approach Pastor Jeon who is the cocaine distributor that stuffed In Gu's fish shipment with cocaine.
I continue watching the series even though it is a gory series that I usually avoid, only because Actor Ha Jung Woo delivers a superb performance. Also, I want to see the ending when he is reunited with his loving wife and doting children. Character In Gu speaks "Engrish" with ease. However, other leading characters' performance go downhill when they speak English.
Enjoy the show.

Beautiful ordinary people family story
Wow, I really enjoy watching "The Last Bloom", it is truly a beautiful ordinary family story. My heart goes out to Kim In Hee, the daughter-in-law/wife/mother/sister/sister-in-law that does everything for the family in her unsung heroine manner. it tells a story about a woman, Kim In Hee, that has a doctor husband that loses his medical license when his patient dies, she also has two adult children. Her daughter is dating a married man and her son's fiancee that thinks she is pregnant. I love her sister-in-law, Shin Sun Ae that really cares about In Hee. When In Hee knows she is dying, she tries everything to make sure her family could live comfortably when she dies. I recommend watching this film.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Efforts mend a broken dream
I really enjoy watching "Grand Prix". The cinematography is excellent and the scenery in Jeju Island is breathtaking. Seon Joo Hee performs so well and does an excellent job as a skilled equestrian that aims to win a Grand Prix trophy. She goes through failed attempt to win a race that kills her racing horse, subsequently she goes back to Jeju Island to spread the ashes of her beloved horse and eventually meets her savior, Lee Woo Seok. The interaction between these two leading roles is fun to watch. Lee Woo Seok is taking it slowly to build Joo Hee's confidence in horse racing again. It is a worthy relationship for both of them to heal their own hurts and broken dreams. An additional eye candy In Jae and sweet Yang So Shim with her pony help the movie to move along when it is needed. I am so relieved that sweet So Shim helps save the race horse, Tamra, from being destroyed.
I would recommend the story to be developed into a K-drama to tell the story between Hwang Man Chul and Ko Yu Yung; the hidden story is so suspenseful and needs to be explored. Ko Yu Yung's hatred toward Man Chul and racing horses raised by Man Chul, also and Hwang Man Chul's regret need to be discussed in detail, it would be an interesting K-drama to watch.
I would recommend "Grand Prix".

Heartwarming family story
I really enjoy watching "Cheer Up, Mr. Lee", there are some scenes that are so heartbreaking, audience need a handkerchief to wipe teary eyes. The young actress, Uhm Chae Young that portrays Saet Byul performs so well as a cancer patient and steals our hearts. The veteran actor, Mr. Cha Seung Won, is really good in his act as a disabled Chul Soo. He performs it so well; it must not be an easy act to do. All actors/actresses really interpret their characters well and deliver a heartwarming story. The interaction between two brothers, Chul Soo and Young Soo reminds us of how brothers are; it is funny to watch but it must be painful to live with a disabled brother, obviously, a strong brotherly bond that keeps them together in thick and thin. The family interactions between Young Soo and his wife, Eun Hee, and his daughter, Min Jun, look so real that it could happen in any family situations. Their love as a family is palpable. I really recommend this heartwarming filmQuesta recensione ti è stata utile?
