The acting...

This was a painful episode to watch but it was meant to be. The actors did just a fantastic job. Very impactful. And it's refreshing to see a bl couple move past the honeymoon phase in such a realistic and natural way. Big props to everyone who worked on this show, seriously.

Cai needs a good friend....

But I don't think things are going to go well with Wes :( I'm glad Terrence seems sincere but I wish Gav would talk to Cai :( not my favorite episode but still very good!

Full circle!

The pass or play wraparound was really nice. Really well done. This episode was maybe a little bit too cheesy for me but I'm sensitive to those things so it's probably just me. Still really freaking cute, still adored it.

Say it with love, baby

The actress who plays Risa did a fantastic job - she only had a short bit, but I fully bought into it.This is a lighter episode, even as it introduces a new conflict. It's a pleasure to watch Gav's patience and trust pay off as Cai opens up. Was good to see character growth with the "antagonists" of the story, and I really appreciate how realistic this is to life. Things keep happening, sometimes the characters can control them, sometimes they can't, they're all just doing their best.

Healing and growth

"Don’t use mental health as an excuse, own up your mistakes, make up for it, and don’t do it again.” Pearl really is a gem.London and Gav met in the most adorable way. Cai actually having a coming out story was a breath of fresh air. All the characters are realistic and human. Terrence... I hope he takes Pearl's words to heart. I feel for him and I'm glad he's trying. The happy end of this episode was wholesome and pure and made my heart smile. It's one of those episodes that you could watch again and again when you need reassurance, and also one of those that you wish you could see again for the first time."You don't apologize for being who you are.... You are safe with us." Oh yeah, I think I would have cried if I had been watching without anyone else in the room.

If I was a crier, I would have sobbed

I'm a bit stunned by this episode... not in a bad way. I'm very impressed with the writing for this show, as well as the acting. I mean... just stellar. The writers are brave. They took a risk and it works because the actors really did an outstanding job. Very, very impressed.

Extremely sweet and I freaking love Pearl

"We will get there, we're in no hurry."This was healing to watch. As someone who is very similar to Cai, it's amazing too see how Gav appreciates him and what he appreciates him for. We often struggle to see our own value, and it's incredible when someone else sees it within us, but also scary. I'm so proud of Cai for apologizing, and for standing up for Gav in this episode. The ending scene just goes to show how strong their trust has grown."I'll stand by him against anyone. Even you."Gav has some fantastic lines. Terrence is a real butt. Trying to force Cai and Gav to have a very private conversation on the spot, with him there. Dude just chill.

Poor Gav T^T

I felt really awful for both of them in this episode, but the last few minutes... I just felt terrible for Gav. As someone who relates a lot to Cai, this feels like a very realistic turn of events. I wish Cai would communicate better, but at the same time can't really blame him too harshly because I think I might do the same thing. It was hard to watch, knowing what was gonna go wrong and it being completely unnecessary. Hope things get patched up in the next episode :)

A lesson on conflict resolution

The way they dealt with a misunderstanding was so impressive to me. Gav being mature enough to recognize that Cai was hurting and not taking it too personally, giving him space without abandoning him and just really genuinely trying to win him back - and not just because he's interested in Cai, but also because he knows that Cai needs a friend??? Delicious. And then when they talk... Cai being self-aware enough to recognize his overreaction and apologize for it, even though he could've let Gav take all the blame. I was stressed this episode, but it really warmed my heart.

This is the one that got me hooked!

I've enjoyed the series up to this point for sure, but it was watching this one that I realized how dedicated I am to this show! I love that there's a "straight best friend" and she's adorable and so good and supportive, I love that Gav straight up asked for consent to see Cai's abs, I love the healthy dynamic between all of them. Good vibes all around and I am here for it.

Wholesome

Super cute so far! I'm liking the way the two guys are interacting, it's very wholesome. Even when Cai's annoyed, the writers steer clear of homophobic language.* I'm not into gaming at all, but it hasn't taken away from the enjoyment at all! I will say that the set-up of video calls, and having it take place during COVID as it's happening was a bit jarring for me. Nothing wrong done on the creators' parts there! Just not something I'm used to. Once I got used to it, it was actually somewhat refreshing to see the issue confronted head-on.So far so good! I'm excited to keep watching!*There's one debatable line but it's not inherently tied to sexuality imo and rather just the fact that someone - regardless of gender - is expressing romantic interest
